Decisions decisions....early breakfast Garden Grill or 1900 Park Fare?

We are heading to Disney next month for my daughters college graduation trip and I am torn. We have all been to Disney multiple times except her girlfriend (she's never been to Disney! gasp!!)

We are doing Epcot our 2nd day and this is our favorite park. We can do Garden Grill before the park opens so we are in the park early....we love the dinner but haven't done the breakfast. The characters are definitely the BEST in my opinion (and we love Chip, Dale & of course PLUTO!) but the breakfast doesn't have a lot of choices and we mostly will only eat the waffles and cinnamon roll.

Park Fare we did when they were very little so they don't really remember it. There is an early time for it so we could see the Grand Floridian, eat and get to ride the monorail and make it to Epcot around opening time. They seem to have a lot more food options but the characters are not our absolute favorites but we still like them.

What do you think we should do? So torn between food or characters...but want to make the most of our money because this one will be paid out of pocket.

Thanks!! Getting excited!

I would say you cannot go wrong with either decision. If it were me, I would do Park Fare both for the good food and to show the girlfriend the Grand Floridian - it is the hotel shown in all the Disney World commercials so I am sure she is curious. You really can't go wrong with a leisurely stroll past spaceship earth before park opening either, though.

That's a tough one. IMHO, the food is definitely better at 1900. I do like the characters at 1900, but Chip and Dale at GG are so funny!! I think my vote is for 1900. When that character meal bill comes, I like to feel like I got some value for the exorbitant price and, since you can meet Chip and Dale elsewhere, I think I would go for the better food.

We had a great PPO breakfast at GG last month. Good food and character interaction, we also made it onto Soarin before the crowd made it into the park which was great.

The food at 1900 Park Fare has been incredible lately. I've been twice within six months. My teen son just requested it for his birthday breakfast this past February. He loves the interaction with the Mad Hatter.

I, however, love the food! The eggs Benedict was delicious. The mini quiches with spinach and goat cheese! Everything was fabulous. It's perfect for an adult character breakfast.

Funny thing, he originally requested Garden Grille! Then we looked at the menu online and both agreed to switch. The Garden Grille's menu is very limited in comparison.

Another hard choice because the food is good at both places. But the girls just love the interaction at 1900 Park Fare. The Mad Hatter makes the trip there worth it.

The Mad Hatter is hilarious, and you get strawberry soup at 1900 Park Fare. :cloud9:

I am probably in the minority when I say this, but the atmosphere/lighting at Garden Grill is drab. GG is probably the only place I’ve dined in WDW where I felt depressed to be among the surroundings.

1900 Park Fare is bright and light and so airy. You can’t leave that place not feeling great. :)
