decision made, now more questions

So we decided to stay for 7 nights at Portifino Bay Hotel in a club level deluxe room . We have the 7 day tickets and we also have Sea World passes. So one question is do we need to have a car? How is the transportation to Sea World? We are planning on maybe 2 days at Sea World and the rest at US/IOA with many days at the pool since this is usually my kids favorite part of vacation and we never seem to have enough time. Another question, what are the beach cabanas like at PBH? I have one reserved for each day of the vacation since I don't have a set itinerary yet but I probably won't need one for everyday.
I'm really excited about this vacation since I think we'll actually be able to relax some compared to our Disney vacations.

There is a shuttle to Sea World so you should be fine. Just make sure you book it the night before.

You might want to get a few more opinions about club at portofino before you commit. We stayed for 7 days and even my teens weren't impressed. It is great for adults but really is not very kid yummy. Dinner is consistently cheese and crackers, marinated mushrooms and peppers, luncheon meats and a pasta salad. Sometimes there will be a warm dish such as sausages or fish. Typical afternoon snack is granola with fruit. Typical breakfast is pastries with fruit. Typical evening snack is cookies.

At Hard Rock, they cater to kids where at PBH they cater to adults.

We never get a car it just seems senseless if you are staying on-site and have no plans of leaving during your stay. The Seaworld shuttle times vary but usually has a late morning departure (10A). If you will be going 2 days you should be OK. Keep in mind if you wanted to you can grab a cab/van. Its close by wouldnt be too bad.

Pool days are awesome. Portofino has beautiful pools. The beach pool cabanas are nice but doubtful you would need one every day. The villa cabanas are also nice but I suspect the kids will want to stay by the beach pool. They have entertainment at the beach pool on weekends.

Game Room: Open from 8am - 12 midnight daily.

Concert Nights: From May through August, the hotel will feature a DJ on Thursday nights, a live band on Saturdays and Concert Nights every Sunday. Concert nights will showcase performances from today's top bands on a full-size movie screen by the beach. All entertainment is complimentary to hotel guests.

Universal is a very laid back relaxing vacation for my family, we really love the whole package! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
