If you are looking for a standard 2 week holiday it is dirt cheap to go on these dates. You are back home before the Xmas price hike.
Just checked TCD 2 adults 2 weeks including car platinum cover £796. Only £219 each for flight (although you do pay slightly OTT for the car)

Do you not have any virgin Miles? using miles brings price down to £309 for just about any dates in Dec.

If you dont see what you want just wait, something will turn up for early Dec.

we are all flying out on the 1st december. at 11 months out the flights were reasonable. As you get closer, they go up in cost.
Virgin at £525 not bad, probably not the cheapest seats left now.
BA is £551.60
Continental have an indirect flight for £392.20 LGW-EWR-MCO

Majortravel.co.uk have Virgin flights at £448 3rd-17th Dec.
Never used them but it says they are available.
I still wouldn't pay that price for early Dec. I am sure Virgin will have a sale, its low season.

Totally agree with the above - it's about the cheapest time of year to get a flight.

sorry to butt in on your thread, but my dad has finally decided to come to our vow renewal in Dec but only wants a week! Any ideas where to try for the best deal - they need 3 adult flights, and 2 seperate rooms/car only, pref from midlands and they need to be in Orlando for 12th & 13th Dec and obviously good value (not a lot to ask I know!!). TIA

Virgin's prices have been steadily rising and I think its a deliberate act by them now to increase the profit margin on Economy seats.
We have also seen them reduce the amount of planes flying to MCO at certain times, this keeps up the price.

Try Continental from Birmingham
£391.30 if they go out on the Monday 10th and then book the hotel direct or through a web site

First Choice fly on a Tuesday from Nottingham East Midlands, plus Eclipse Direct also use that flight.

thanks for all the advice, went online last night and have got price from virgin of 311 3rd till 16th dec but i will check the travel city site now

Personally I wouldn't consider anyone else if I was offered Virgin at £311 but I hate Sanford, only done it once with TCD with a 4 hour delay, what a boring airport.

We tend to book our Virgin flights through Funway holidays. They tend to work out about third cheaper than VH's. We are going 15th Dec for 19 nights, 7 nights accomm (throwaway) for 3 A & 1 C for approx £1500.
