I guess traveling in December creates the risk of cold weather.

Can anyone who has been on the cruise tell me what the weather was like on their December cruise?

We are traveling December 19-22, 2002, 2 adults and three children ages:14,10,and 8.
We are driving from Georgia so we won't have the airlines to deal with but I am concerned about the weather.

Will it be too cold to get in the pool?

How were the beaches at that time?

This is our first ever cruise, so any suggestions from those who have been on a Disney Cruise will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

We did a land and sea package and sailed on December 13th. The weather could not have been any more perfect. I think it was in the 80s most days (both at WDW and in the Bahamas) with much lower humidity than we would have experienced in the summer.

Our TA had said our days at WDW were historically the lowest volume days of the year. That, sadly coupled with post 9/11 slowdown, proved true as we experienced no lines at all.

However, the Wonder was jam packed. From what gather, the ships are always sold out or close to it. Jusy FYI on that subject.

We sailed the Magic Dec. 22. There were times when it was too cool to be in the pools, and they were fairly empty. The sun felt good in a deck chair, and there were plenty of them available. But beach days were warm and sunny.

You're welcome! I was worried about the weather in January, but as I live in MAINE I knew the weather would be better than at home.... but we were very pleasantly surprised! We had great weather all 4 days! Came home to blizzard- but such is life! :D
