MO2M--that is soo cool!!!! MaKayla will turn 15 in 2 weeks. She has never said or questioned whether Santa is real or not. I have no intention on saying anything, as long as she keeps believing. Damian has said from time to time "santas not real", I am sure he gets that from school. but we never waiver--you must believe in the magic of Christmas. The movie I think is so spectacular is Polar Express. I do believe in the miracle of Christmas and that is what I want my kids to always believe in.

I love decorating for Christmas, but I hate taking it down!!! And no one ever wants to help. We have a really, really small house, so we really don't go overboard. But the kids each have a 2 ft. tree in their rooms, MaKaylas is all pink, black, white, silver "girly" tree in a hat box. Damians is all nascar, dale earnhart Jr. Ours in the living room is white and silver. I wasn't raised with many Christmas traditions--very religious family that wanted to keep the reality of Christmas about the birth of Christ and less about the hype and commercial aspect.

The music, feeling, and season just gives me the warm fuzzies---life is good!!

have a great week everyone~!!

If it were not for the fear of breaking something, I would do back flips. Instead I will do the ever popular banana dance!!!!!    I got my documents today. Has anyone else got theirs? The only thing is it looked so different than it did the last time. Maybe it is because I did my own transfers this time. Christie didnt notice it thank goodness because there was two packages. Usually they are nosey rosey and want to know what we got from UPS. She had designed her own converse tennis shoes (she is a converse nut) and they came in today. Very very cute I must add. They are Christmas colors with her name on the back of them.

OMG!!!!! Everyone with "stroller babies or little ones" has to go to Disneyshopping and look under personalized gifts then holiday decor. There is a blanket and hat set and the hat is mickey ears with a santa hat. I would not been able to pass that up if mine were still that size. Check it out.
WHY oh WHY are you tempting me like that??!!! :rotfl2:

BTW -- The pictures came through the email.

Congrats on the docs. Didn't get ours yet. Can't wait!!!

We are taking the 10:00 shuttle from the Radisson to the terminal. Upon boarding, I need to eat, try for Palo brunch ressie, and try to change to early dining. Assuming we will be among the first group to board (I will have a scooter), in what order should I try to do things?
YOu probably won't be able to do Palo reservations or dining changes until I think 1pm or so. Watch the navigator they give you upon boarding it'll have the time that stuff begins in there. So I'd say EAT first! :thumbsup2

We're still not sure what time we'll be getting to the terminal. I don't want to stand around the terminal too long, but I also don't want to get there in the middle of a rush. We'll be eating at Spoodles that morning around 8am so maybe we'll just take our time and then leave for port after that. I also want to stop at the grocery store in Cocoa Beach before we hit Port.

My sister and her family will be at the Sheraton down there the night before so we also have to coordinate our arrival with her.

:woohoo:

BTW, we're watching Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas

They take the Palo and dining changes in Wave Bands on Deck 33 about 1 pm.

If they are booked up, you can go on a waitlist and chances are you will get in. Shouldn't be a problem.

If you are in conceire, you can get your conceire person make all those ressies for you, if not already booked. That way you are FOR SURE to get what you want.

I just got home from being on the Wonder w/my 4 YO g/DD. She wore me out.

I leave Saturday again for the Wonder for 4 more days.

Have to catch up on all the chat while I was away.

As far as boarding, they board by numbers now and it is never rushed or crowded. The number system works out very good.

I can't wait to get ours. I booked on a discount and may not have room assigment until check in. I'm biting my nails wondering where our gurantee room will be. Can't wait to see everyone. I might be out of touch a couple of days, I'm having knee surgery tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be dancing by the sail away. :santa:

Disneyfan19712006 - What kind of knee surgery? Just curious. I had a torn ligament and it was an old injury. I had hurt it and went to disney for seven days. I went to the doctor and did everything he told me. He said I would have to have surgery. I am a chicken and told him I have to explore every option before I will do surgery. I ended up doing the experimental shots back in March (after a year of fooling with the dang thing) and it worked. I had to have five injections, once a week and wait eight weeks. I was so pleased. My neice didnt have such luck and the injections didnt work for her. The only downfall is that insurance wont cover it....but I didnt care. I hope your surgery goes well. We will be praying for you. Take care of yourself the next couple of weeks so you will heal correctly.

Kay - That is awesome!!!! We are going to do a seven day next December to celebrate Christies 13th birthday. That is what she asked for. Her birthday will be in October but she dont want to go during Hurricane season and neither do I. Even though I know they are trained to go around the storms.....I am scared. Maybe we will get to see you again. Actually we will be with another DISer from our last cruise.

I have to get busy wrapping gifts while Howard is gone!!!!!! He is like an CSI investigator when it gets Christmas time.

Kay that is very impressive!!! I SOOOO wanted to do the PC cruise but it just didn't work out. I hope they do those again in the upcoming years. DH really wants on the ship for the next one!

Hi guys! I got my cruise documents yesterday and am pretty excited. We leave on the 5th for our Land portion, and I'm so excited!!! I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. :goodvibes

Crystal27 - Now you are really showing off!!!! That is ok though. Everyone knows by now that I believe you can show your children off. Your little girl is adorable. Is her hair pulled back in the costume or did she get it cut? Very very cute! We leave on the sixth for Wilderness Lodge. You are staying at the Poly, right? We loved it last year, I just want to explore all of them before I mark my favorite. Right now it is the Poly for sure. Glad you got your documents. Was it just a small booklet with everyones embarkation on one page for a total of like six pages. I think there were some tips in the also or something. The Bahamas forms were in there also. I just remember having more last year. I dont want to get down there and not have what I need. I have already printed all of my online registration out.

MOTM - thank you for the compliments about my DD. She had a great time being dressed up as a "fancy pirate." Her hair is pulled back in a bun on top of her head - I think that DH would kill me if I cut her hair. We are indeed staying at the Poly - I'm very excited. This is our first time staying on-site and I'm sure that we won't be disappointed. :cloud9:

Our cruise booklet is pretty thick (although it's only the size of a plane ticket), but it didn't have anything about our "land" portion in it other than to note that we booked at the Poly. It probably has about 20 pages in it, most of which is repetitive and it contains the DCL contract. I'll probably print out the forms from the DCL website and save our booklet as a keepsake. I was expecting tickets to the parks with our packet, but I guess we won't get those until we check in at the Poly. :confused3 We are actually driving down on December 5th and bumming around Orlando for the day (and staying at a cheap hotel off-site that night). That way, we won't be worn out on our first day at the parks. I just hope that everything goes smoothly.

DH is KILLING himself at work (he owns his own business) and I'm worried that he's going to worry about work for our entire vacation. :headache: At least it will definitely make him appreciate "being away" - LOL. Anyway, that's enough from me. Take care all!!

That is the biggest drawback about owning your own business. You never really "get off". For some reason your customers deserve a vacation but you dont. The show must always going on. That is why I have really cut back on my business. I have been in business since Howard was born.) The children about begged me to quit completely. My customers worked mostly so when they got off they wanted me to tend to them at night also. William started his business six years ago. We just try to make the best of it. Best of luck to you. Last year I got all of my land stuff when I checked in. I may call tomorrow if I can get away from the children and make sure I have everything I need.

MoTM and Crystal - What kind of business?

My husband used to own his own but closed it a few years back after his father passed away. He's so glad he doesn't run it anymore.

Melody - I am a General Contractor and I build custom homes. (Generally around 5000 square feet and up.) I love it but on the other hand it can be very stressful because basically I deal with people who are use to getting their own way. They want the best of everything but dont want to pay for it. Saying that I have loved all my customers and made many lasting friendships out of the deal. They are just spoiled.;) Currently I have just finished a smaller home and I am working on another one for a friend. I can almost do those type of homes with my eyes closed. I have very dependable subs that work for me. William is an Electrical Contractor. His whole families background has either been big machine dirt movers or electricians. His father owned his own business as well but William was still in apprenticeship when his father passed away. William was 20. The business was closed for 16 years. William worked for the same contractor for 18 years before deciding to go out on his own. He opened his electrical company under the same name his dads was and has been successful thus far.

 Not sure if I feel like crying or if I feel like:banana:

OK so here is the deal. MaKayla has been having a rough time with friends, ladies you know how girls can be. Well things didn't seem to be getting any better, and MaKayla cried yesterday over some stupid girl stuff, which broke my heart. I hate seeing my kids hurting. So yep, I called Disney asked for the tracking number on our documents, and to my surprise they were getting delivered last night. I wanted to hold out on the kids until the day we left on our trip, but then there was the other part of me that wanted to lift MaKaylas spirits...................................................so yes, we gave the kids the cruise documents last night:confused3

SO--the reaction was kind of a let down, not what I expected from the kids. MaKayla cried and Damian's reaction was kind of like "yeah whatever":scared: Our kids are not spoiled by any means, so their reactions was not of selfishness. I think they didn't know what to say or do.

It was a let down I think for several reasons: 1. I think they are in shock and having a hard time believeing it is true 2. I expected a bigger reaction from the kids, which was a disappointment for me 3. I don't think that waiting to tell them was the right decision from the beginning or I should have told them sooner. I think in a way MaKayla (15)was disappointed because everything is done and there isn't anything she can help prepare for the trip.

In hind site, I think I would have surprised them much earlier on so they could have enjoyed making plans as well.

Don't get me wrong the kids are thrilled, but I expected a bigger bang, and am a little disappointed. I know the closer it gets the more excited they will be and the realization that we are really going will set in.

I should have considered the kids ages. Because we don't splurge on things like this often, i should have thought about MaKayla. She would have really enjoyed helping me plan because this is a big deal. I feel bad.

So now I feel like crap about the whole deal. I just need to tell myself their excitement will build after they realize that this is the real thing--I need to find "something" that MaKayla can help me with before we go so she feels like she is involved.

Have a great weekend!!!!

I booked ocean view gurantee but booked with a TA discount. so we might not know until we reach the port.

I'm home lying in bed. I got bored so I'm checking the boards. It went well they were not able to repair the torn meniscus but were able to cut the damaged part out. I have to use a walker. So when we get in the car to leave the hospital DH says "Your now and old lady" Just for 2 - 3 weeks. I'm on good pain meds so I hope I am typing understandably. See you all soon.
