Hi guys! Another day closer - YIPPEE!! :woohoo:

Well, I realized over the weekend that I did something incredibly stupid. I donated all of my DD's summer clothes to Good Will in September, totally forgetting about the fact that she's going to need summer clothes for the cruise!! I'm so mad at myself because she had some really cute sundresses this year and I just gave them away like a fool. :headache: So, I've been scrambling like crazy to find her some summer clothes to wear and, believe me, pickings are very slim. I've also managed to lose her swim suit (or I donated it - HA HA), so that's my next hurdle. Also, can anyone tell me where I can find some floaties  ? My DD has no fear of the water as long as she has floaties, but, again, those are long gone as well. So, I'll ask you guys to cross your cyber fingers for me and hopefully I'll have better luck this weekend.

I'm glad to hear about possibly seeing Enchanted on the cruise - that looks like a great movie.

Also, just an FYI, I wanted to let everyone know that if you are ordering cruise baskets, The Perfect Gift is now accepting orders for our cruise.

Well, I'd better get back to shopping for clothes :surfweb: . Hope everyone is doing well. :grouphug:

crystal27 - Good luck on finding everything!!!! I have to get Christie a bathing suit but I dont fear her finding out because we bought swimsuits last year in December because they were on sale so I think I will be ok.

We went shopping and got her dress for the Jingle Bell Ball at the Peabody and it is georgous. She will look absolutely beautiful. Howard is wearing his black suit. That is December 2nd and a night out for William and I with our friends that we dont get to go out with much.

I am going to check out Howards Disney shirts and see what I can pack next!!!!

I am getting soooooooooooo excited. I am ready for MVMCP too. We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge for the first time. I hope I dont miss the Poly. I want to visit them all but so far the Poly has been my favorite. I really think though the outdoor wilderness Christmas will be awesome.

I just ordered William the blackberry world phone in hopes it will work somewhat on the cruise at the ports. It is a trial run for a seven day next year. I hate the thought of work on the cruise but I want a seven day and he stresses over our business when he cant be reached. I say what in heck can he do in the middle of the ocean if something does happen!!!!!!? Has anyone had any experience? Our regular nokias didnt even think about working. Now I have a razor and I think it is worse. The cellular South people say the blackberry world phone should pick up.

This is my third Disney Cruise this year. Had so much fun I am bringing my DH and my DS25 along this time. Little brother 18 has to stay home for school. This is my first 4 night. I can't wait.

Welcome disney19712006!!!!!! I added you to the meet and as soon as we know exactly where and when it will be posted. Right now it is in Kays room at 3:00 I think and she asked us to bring something from the buffet for our party snacks. I am taking chocolate candy. Kay cruises alot and I think it is a good idea to have it in her room because she has experience with it.

Hi, everyone!

Just wanted to drop in and wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Even though we won't be cruising with you in December, we'll be thinking about you!

What room is Kay in? I forgot to write it down when it was first decided. I really want to make it to meet everyone, BUT first priority is going to try for Palo bruch ressie, and getting switched to early dining. I hate to have to spend the time to do that when I'd rather be doing other things. Glad you are feeling better MOTM.

Too bad your 18yr old can't go. I am bringing my son's stepdaughter who just turned 18 (combination birthday, Xmas and graduation present), and she is worried there won't be any kids around her age to hang out with.

MOTM and princess Di - I have really enjoyed your continuing stories of surprising your kids, and so glad neither of you as "caved". Can't wait to hear how it went!

GrannyJan - Kay is in room 8602 I believe and we had talked about 3pm. I think we need to wait until Kay gets back to make sure she is still up for it.

I am feeling so much better. I only have a small sore throat deep down and my ears hurt a little....but all of the pain is so small compared to last week that I feel normal. The doctor says by Thanksgiving I will be normal. I am especially grateful for my families good health. After all our dis group has been through with our families...this Thanksgiving health is what I am most grateful for. I really appreciate all of the well wishes sent my way during and after my surgery.

ElenitaB - You are going to make me cry!!!!!! We are going to miss you. I know you must do what is best for your son though.

Howard and William are hunting this weekend and Christie and I are having her belated birthday party. I am at a hotel with six girls (12-13years old). We went to the hotel so they could swim. We did lazer tag and went to dinner and we will end tomorrow with the movies. We had originally planned to see "Enchanted" not knowing that it doesnt start until Wednesday...kinda a bummer.

I got an email from Atlantis telling us about the dolphin encounter. I really want to do it. My DH said "I thought we were relaxing'. I just dont have it in me. I want to do it all. I cant do the dolphins in Memphis TN!!!!!!!! I will continue to work on that the next week. Theres a good chance I could get him to give in. I have to get Christies and Howards jeans packed and a few shorts and swim suits and I will have them packed. William is packed. I have only a few shirts ready for myself. I have to pack all of our dress clothes but that is no biggee. I am not ironing them....just packing them and will send off to be ironed on the first night.

Have a good weekend everyone!!!!!

Good Morning everyone!!

Soooooo what is the countdown number now..................21 days:banana: Can't wait!!

Well, Damian (DS11), thinks it would be an awesome idea if we went to florida when we got to Denver................silly boy what is he thinking:rotfl2: I asked him how he thought we would do that "well we could get some sand, chairs and a back drop to replicate being in florida"....kids, got to love their innocence. I did tell him that when we get to Denver we have a BIG surprise, and I have been working really hard on it. So now the guessing game has begun, he is trying to figure out what is in Denver that is so spectacular:laughing:

I think in this case "less is more"--I don't think I am going to say a darn thing. Just go with the flow and see how long it takes them to figure everything out. I will send DH down to the hotel office to make arrangements to be transported to DIA--so the surprise won't start until Saturday a.m. when we have to get up early to get to DIA>

I am excited!!

I really haven't packed any clothes, just all the odds and ends that I want to make sure I don't forget. MaKayla (DD15) still layers her outfits with tank tops so I can't hardly take those and we have still had a few warm days where the kids have worn shorts.

Both of the kids have been sick, alot of crud floating around--Mono, strep, pink eye---yuck!! MaKayla has been sick for over a week so I am hoping she can get past the hump and start feeling better soon.

Beautiful weather here this weekend, but snow in the forecast for thanksgiving.

Have a great weekend, I am out to finish shopping for Christmas!!

3 weeks tomorrow!!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

GrannyJan - Kay is in room 8602 I believe and we had talked about 3pm. I think we need to wait until Kay gets back to make sure she is still up for it.
I'm going to keep that in mind in case I'm able to sneak off for a bit. Even just for 15 minutes so I can meet you all.

HUGS ElenitaB!!!

MoTM - Can you forward teh info about the Dolphin Encounter to me? cruisindisney@adelphia.net. THANKS!

btw, I'm done Christmas shopping. It was a goal for this year. Now I need to WRAP WRAP WRAP!!! :cool1:

Melody - I forwarded the email. It gave me a message about one or more of the pictures may not send and I just said ok. You have to remember that I am technically challenged.

We went to see Fred Clause today and we loved it. Being the cry baby I am I cried at the end. I will be taking Howard to see it. We usually go to the movies with family on Thanksgiving but this year since Howard is racing I guess we will go see Enchanted Wednesday when it comes out.

Be strong PrincessDi!!!!!! Be strong!!!!! It is really getting harder with each passing day.

I know this is awful but I dont remember what I ordered from The Perfect Gift for my children but I know I will love it. However I just ordered them a welcome basket from the disney florist with photo albums, cameras, a pal mickey and those cute mickey hands. I know they will love the mickey hands for the sail away party. I am sooo excited.

We are getting a little festive around here. My DD has the Christmas CDs out and playing while we clean house.

I am feeling all warm and fuzzy today. Now if we had our tree down...(DH and DS decided to stay at the deer camp another day)....we would be placing our gifts under the tree. I love this time of the year!!!!

Have a wonderful day.

OMG!!!!! Everyone with "stroller babies or little ones" has to go to Disneyshopping and look under personalized gifts then holiday decor. There is a blanket and hat set and the hat is mickey ears with a santa hat. I would not been able to pass that up if mine were still that size. Check it out.

I was planning on ordering from The Perfect Gift also for 4-yr old DGS and was going to ask for a disposeble camera (among other things). What is the "disney florist"?

MO2M---Us too!!!!!! Well the tree WAS going to go up today but DH had to leave for work early and I didn't want to go to storage to get the stuff. I think it is the upcoming cruise that has us in the spirit early. I can just hear my family when they come for Thanksgiving:rolleyes: Oh well, we are going to be gone for a week out of December, I want to make sure we are able to enjoy our tree!!

I spent the day wrapping presents and stuff from santa.

I also bagged all our personal necessities up so they don't leak in our luggage since we can't take them in our carry ons. It amazes me how much stuff one has to take. It felt good to get that done though--that will save me alot of
time in the end.

I had a really bad experience last year when we flew to and from Orlando--on the way back I was near a panic attack. 3 hours doesn't seem like a long time, but it was a trip from hell. I have booked an isle seat this time to help. Does anyone have any ideas--I have heard to take benadryl. Any suggestions on how to help with the anxiety of flying. I love to fly, but the trip home last year just put me over the edge. :scared1:

We are taking the 10:00 shuttle from the Radisson to the terminal. Upon boarding, I need to eat, try for Palo brunch ressie, and try to change to early dining. Assuming we will be among the first group to board (I will have a scooter), in what order should I try to do things?

Can't believe less than 3 weeks to go!

GrannyJan - Disney florist is for our land portion. I should have sad that. It delivers to the resorts. I ordered them a basket on both parts of our trip as I am not taking anything with me. Last year I had something for them everyday and it was a full suitcase. I am sneaking around so I need to keep the luggage under wraps. I am not sure what you should do first but i you want Palo I would try to do it quickly. Do you have someone else that you could send to do the dining?

PrincessDi - I usually put my tree up the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and decorate it that weekend. Before we moved I had a much bigger house and I use to decorate every room. We had a tree for all of the main areas. I even decorated my bathrooms. Most of my stuff is in storage until we build again. My rooms now are so small ( I dont understand how people did it a hundred years ago...just like there are no closets :confused3 ) that it would look cluttered. I still decorate just not on the magnitude that I used to. My nieces and nephews use to love to come to my house just to see the holiday decorations. Even though I dont do as much, it is still my favorite and I still decorate as much as my house will allow.
You have an avantage that I dont...your children know yall are going somewhere. I am sneaking to do everything. I usually always keep the overnight bag packed though. I just have to freshen it up.

As far as flying, I get anxious too. I just try to relax and talk to my DH constantly to take my mind off of it. Two trips ago our airplane lost all power on the runway. They didnt take us off the plane. We sat there for 45 minutes while they worked on it....then we left in the same plane. I was to the point of tears, just terrified. To make matters worse we hit alot of turbulance. That was by far the longest trip home. I can take something like to make me sleepy because I will miss our first day. If you dont have anything planned I would take something to knock myself out!!!!!!!

PrincessDi - You are going to think I have lost my mind but I cant let my children stop believing. Actually Christie told me she didnt anymore but I didnt comment. I have hired a Santa (same one every year) since they were three years old. He comes at midnight and delivers my gifts. My children have argued in the past because they have him on video and their parents too. Finally she said "I will believe for you, just dont tell my friends and by the way....I dont know what you are doing but when I have children if you dont tell me the truth your grandchildren wont get anything!" That was funny. I feel like the magic of Christmas is gone if they dont believe. I am sure Howard doesnt either but I will hire Santa until they go to college. If we can pretend Mickey is real why not Santa. I just cant let go. Have of my family says it is ok the other half thinks I need counseling. My Mom says whatever makes everyone happy. I didnt lie to her..I just didnt comment. I think they know it is a sensitive subject for me.

First thing we do on Christmas morning is put baby Jesus in his manger. We leave him out until his birthday.

What does everyone else do?
