I cannot believe that in about a month we leave!!! I am ready more than you know!

MOTM--we recently went through the kids summer clothes to pick out things that don't fit etc. The kids think we are going to Denver to just spend a few days so the night before I will have them pack their makeup, jewelry, electronics etc. this way they have what they want and it will save me a ton of time. Friday when I send them to school I plan on packing their things. I don't think it will be too hard to do. DS isn't picky and DD, she is predictable so I know what she would want to wear. Really I can be packing everything but the kids clothes. The kids don't come into my bedroom so I can just pack just about everything without them knowing. I have been taking note of things they need extras of and have bought those along the way, but the kids have never questioned "why". DD did question why I was buying so many travel size products----silly girl, she is in for a surprise.

A coworker suggested that we tell the kids while we are in Denver. The kids wake up the next morning in the hotel and Santa has come during the night. I am not sure---I am still open to suggestions!!!

Does anyone know if they do hair braiding throughout the entire cruise or just the boarding day? DD has a winter ball the 14th. I know she will want to get her hair braided, but last year by the time we came home the beads were icky from spraying sunscreen on her scalp and it wasn't looking the best. Thought if I could I would do it the last day.

I am still holding out on the weather, it really has me concerned, praying for NO snow. Denver is 4 hours from here, bad weather could really make for not so nice trip.

We aren't doing the pirate thing this year. I did however order clearance pirates shirts from Hot Topic, they are sooo coool!!!! I am making gift bags for the kids and will be shipping them of here soon.

Have a great week everyone!!!

Hi everyone! I'm just checking in. I've revised my work schedule so I'm now only working three 10 hour days, so I'm off for 4 days in a row! :woohoo: You would think that having an extra 2 days during the week would grant me some free time, but I'm busier now than I was before - - not sure how that works out. :confused3 Is everyone getting as excited as I am? I just want to do the happy dance all day long! :cool1: :dance3: :yay: Anyway, hope everyone has a great rest of the week. :grouphug:

I SURVIVED!!!! I finally had my surgery yesterday. Great news for me that there wasnt anything wrong with my vocal cords. I really doesnt hurt to talk but almost impossible to drink or swallow in general. I have a high tolerance for pain but must admit it is pretty painful. They first gave me lortab for pain. I had surgery at 9:00, home by 1:00 and wired to the high heavens. I had a major reaction to the lortab. I broke out in hives, tounge swollen and blistered and itching like it was nobodys business. It was in the middle of the night and there was nothing they could do because you cant call in a narcotic you have to have a paper prescription. I took benadryl and childrens liquid tylenol and William got my demerol earlier today. It helped greatly but still very difficult to swallow. If it doesnt get any worse I will have it made. At this point I feel blessed that my worst fears are over.

Has anyone ever used a pal mickey in the parks? If so did you like it?

I have been updating the list that is three post back but havent heard from anyone else. I feel like we have a great group of folks and look forward to meeting everyone. We only have five weeks....can you believe it?

I knew you would survive. There was lots of pixie dust around you, my friend. Hope you feel better through the weekend.

I will be thinking of you.

Are we gonna have a PARTY or what?????? Yipee

Now what we should do is remember to get a tray of food like cheeses and such from the Buffet when we eat and bring it down to the Stateroom so that we can have snacks.

Karen and I will get a large plate of what we can. If anyone else wants to get also, that is fine; otherwise, no problem.

If I ask Conceire to bring it that day, the charge is pretty steep. I did it last Sept. and I believe it was around $65. and no enough for everyone.

I leave on 11/14 for the Wonder again, come home and then 11/24 again for the Wonder. I sure hope I get all this cruisin out of my system soon, I am getting tired of packing and coming home and washing and packing again. Geez, if that is my only problem, I DO HAVE A PROBLEM :lmao: :lmao:

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Minnie of Two Mice - So glad your surgery went well and is done, now the healing! :goodvibes

Get better soon, lots of yummyummmy stuff to eat come December 9th!

I will bring a plate from the buffet too. Anything specific so we don't all bring cheese and crackers?

This is so exciting! My first Dis meeting. Yep! never meet a real Diser in person!:rotfl:

oh my - how exciting

I am sure there will be many things on the Buffet. Just get a plate of assortment and if everyone does that, we'll have enough.

Grapes
meat slices
any finger foods

there should be salad mixings in the center with olives, carrots and the such and dressings = I'll get those

yummy, yummy

Did you set your clocks back last night before going to bed????????

I think Indiana does not do it.

MOTM - glad to hear that you survived your surgery, but I hate to hear about your reaction! Hopefully, you are feeling much, much better today.

I can't believe that we are getting SO CLOSE. By this time next month, I'll be in WDW - YIPEE! After taking a nine year hiatus of Disney, I've definitely got the bug. DH has consented to a trip next November for his birthday, so I've got more Disney planning to do (not that I mind - LOL).

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great week.

Hello all!!! Thanks for all of the well wishes!!! As of today if I had it all over to do again...I wouldnt. I was fine for the first two days and went downhill from there. I quit taking my pain meds Sunday night because they made me feel so bad. Last night I took some benadryl just to make me sleep and had the best night of sleep yet. This morning woke up with the dreaded ear pain they warned me about. I am fluffy definately not undernourished and starving to death. I havent eaten since last Wednesday. I have very painful sips of tea. I am dreaming of dole whip floats!!!!!! The doctor told William to make me try to eat but there is no way. All this time down I am thinking of what I need to be doing to get packed. I want to order a pal mickey in a basket for my angels. They have been so good to me and William helping out and not complaining. I havent gotten any more pm's from people but will work on it next week. William and I will bring what we need to. Maybe I can bring chocolate!!!!! If noone objects to their little ones having anything. I am really looking forward to meeting everyone.

Sorry I haven't checked in in so long. I have some catching up to do here, though!

Just want to give  to MOTM! You'll be having a Dole Whip before you know it.

getting ready to leave for the Wonder again.

Still trying to keep up with our thread here also.

Looking forward to meeting with everyone

Although I'd love to meet you all, I am not sure we (or I) can make a meet on the first day. It is my extended family's first cruise and I don't think they're going to want to stop for a cruise meet.

Is there anything we can do to identify one another during the cruise? Perhaps a button or ribbon or something?

One month from today :cool1:
MINNIE OF TWO MICE hope you are feeling better:goodvibes

 Ready to go:yay:

Oh my goodness---I can't believe we are on the final count down!!!

The secret is actually harder to keep now than it was for the past 8 months!!! My excitement is building and I just want to talk about it!!

I need to start pulling things together when I am thinking about it--binoculars, snorkeling stuff etc.

DM is doing better--they are unsure of the status of her tumor and have now pushed her next MRI into February---that is a LONG time to wait.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Good Morning everyone!!!

I called Disney last night to see what movies will be playing when we are cruisin'--we actually have a good selection--Game Plan, POTC, Bridge to Teribitha, and possibly the new enchanted. There were a bunch of other ones as well

while I was on the phone I made sure we had early seating--6 pm requested. I also scheduled the night we want to celebrate the kids birthdays. She told me that if my 6 pm rotation request is granted our dining rotation will be 1. Parrot Cay 2. Tritons 3. Tritons 4. Animators Palate:banana:

we had considered missing nights 2 & 3 and doing our own thing and Tritons is our least favorite restaurant---I am excited!! The realization is really starting to set in:yay:

Is everyone packing yet?? I grabbed a suitcase and put in in the bottom of my closet with snorkeling stuff, binoculars etc.

:cool1::banana: :cool1: :banana: :cool1::banana: :cool1: :banana: :cool1:

I am almost back to normal!!!!! (about 80%) I am out and about and very happy. I am the furthest thing from a homebody. I am beginning to be able to eat certain things slowly but surely.:goodvibes

I am just beside myself as far as the vacation. I am thinking about it 100% of the time. :cloud9: I am dropping off some stuff at the cleaners to be starched today. I think that is going to be my strategy. Today is Williams stuff. I will drop it off and pack it when I pick it up. It being starched will make more fit into the luggage and I wont have to iron at the resort. Our dress clothes will be pressed on the ship the first night. Next I will do Howards. The guys wont "miss" any of their clothes. I fear Christie may look for something :scared1: so she will be last. I am not sweating the small stuff this year.:cool2: I dont want to mess up and spoil the surprise. If I forget something (as long as it is not the passports or documents) I will replace down there.

I only had ten bracelets left over from last year. We need to come up with something because I want to meet everyone. For those who cant make the meet.

If I have early dining will I miss the sailaway party? I didnt request it, I was just assigned to it. I dont think I really care at this point. Last year late was okay but I didnt have anything to compare it to.

The movies sound great. Game Plan and The Bridge to Teribithia (sad) are both wonderful. We are going to Enchanted friday with Christies friends.

The closer it gets it is really hard to keep a secret. I am proud of myself though for keeping tight lipped. The are going to be so shocked. Right now we could not have a better plan. We are checking them out of school for "lunch and the zoo". Last year we rented a limo and went looking at Christmas lights for something different and fun so the limo wont throw them off. We really are going to lunch but then to the airport for surprise #1. We are going to Disney for a long weekend. We will rock right along until Sunday when we top that hill and see the port for surprise #2. All I got to say is the next week will be very boring after being swept off their feet. It is so hard though not to act excited around them.

A little racing announcement........Howard is officially moving up to mini sprints. I dont think I have told ya'll. We ordered it last week. (Those stinking men wait until I am under the influence of medication to get me to commit and write that check!!!!) They build the seat and such to fit him. He will still go kart but not as much. Most mini sprint races are three hours away. There are a few that are local. He is very excited and was talking in his sleep last night about the motor. It was hilarious.

I hope everyone has a great week!

MOTM--we had early seating last year, I think 5:15 of 5:30--we went to the sailaway party but did have to leave early to get to supper.

We aren't rushing anything this time around,if we make it to our dining, great--if not there are other places to eat!!!
