December 9, 2007 4 night

PrincessDi- No No NO NO NO!!!!! I am so sorry that it wasnt a big bang as expected. I hope mine arent the same way. I have a couple of advantages though. I will be checking them out of school unexpectedly and they are a little younger than Mckayla. I hope our girls never act like some of these mean hearted little girls. Some can be really low down. You did the right thing and you were not wrong in wanting to surprise them. Let her plan the day you get to Florida.:confused3 She may still be a little upset over the girl thing too. Maybe they will wake up tomorrow and say WE ARE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!!!!! I hope all goes well for you.

Disneyfan - Glad to hear you are doing fine. Hope you are all better for the cruise.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!!

By the way enchanted was soooo good. Kinda of a romance movie. We loved it.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Have a wonderful day with family and friends

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

What is the Bahama paper? Do you turn that in at checkin? I had not read anything about that paper, so didn't know what I was looking at when I got the docs.

GrannyJan - It says Welcome to the Islands of the Bahamas..Government of the Bahamas..Immigration arrival card. If you find it go ahead and fill it out. It will save you time at the port when you check in. If you dont have it, dont fret. They will have them at check in also.

I hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

We'll be onboard with all of you too! Four of us from Calgary, AB, 1 former Epcot CM and one current one. Going to visit my brother who's on the international program this year (I did it when I was his age) and capping the trip off with a cruise. So looking forward to it! See you all there.

I walked outside to put my suitcases in the car for my cruise tomorrow and Fed Ex had left my docs on the porch.

Muzigal - :welcome: If you think you may make the Dis Meet just post it and I will update the list.

We have had an eventful weekend. I am looking forward to Monday. Christie had her two best friends spend the night to go shopping and they went to bed at midnight. I woke them up at 2:20 to leave the house at 3:30. We shopped till noon and went to Howards race about an hour away. We got home Saturday morning at 3:30. Got up and went back to the races at 9:00. He did not qualify Friday. Saturday he qualified fourth. He ran fourth the entire race and with 5 laps to go he wrecked and broke a spindle and we were out of the race. We got home at 3:00 this morning and got up at 9:00. He did so good. They only thing bad was is that it was the second Nationals we have been to in a month and with very few laps to go, we get taken out. After we wrecked and they got the race going again. The second through seventh karts wrecked literally inches from the finish line and eighth through twelvth made the top five. The whole family had a great time and Howard was very proud to have made the race.

I will be totally packed by Thursday. Then I have to wait a week.:rolleyes1 I cant wait to meet all of you. I cant believe it is almost really here. Happy Sunday everyone.

Hi guys! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and good luck with Black Friday sales. My DH actually got up at 3:00 a.m. to get to Kohls when they opened at 4:00 a.m. I've lost 25 pounds this year, and am still filling in my wardrobe, so he got up early to buy me a few things because of the great sales on clothes and shoes at Kohls. Yep - he's a keeper.

I have to admit that I'm starting to feel a bit overwhelmed about getting everything ready. I had to buy DD a swimsuit on Ebay (which still hasn't arrived - UG) and it's starting to worry me about getting everything done before our trip (we actually leave on December 5th for WDW). My checklist is still a mile long - LOL. I only work 3 days a week (10 hour days each) so you would think that I would have TONS of time, right?!? :rolleyes1 Not so much! Oh well, everything will fall into place, I'm sure.

Well, I hope that everyone has a great week. :grouphug:

HI EVERYONE!

Does anyone have a list compiled of the number of kids and their ages?

This will be my first Disney cruise leaving Dec. 9th 2007. My boys are 6 and 5 and are soooo excited! :rotfl: I have been on a bahamas cruise a couple of years ago also in Dec. and the weather was horrible, rainy and cold. We ended up going back to port caneveral earlier than expected! So I hope that this trip will be different!!! Did anyone book a shore excursion for the Atlantis waterpark?

The last I had heard was three o'clock in 8102 which is Kays room.

HI EVERYONE and WELCOME all the new cruisers:

I am just returning from my 4 day on the Wonder. Had a great time.

I spoke with the person in charge of the Conceire rooms and talked to him about out little get together in our room.

Wish I hadn't talked to him now BUT - I did.

Since there will probably be SO MANY of us getting together, my room is not a good place, as there will not be enough room due to the Coast Guard regulations, as to how omany should be in a room. Up to 20 would be OK - but barely, and we sort of ended up with

US MEETING IN THE PROMENADE LOUNGE on Deck 3 midship. Just a few feet from where we will be boarding the ship.

My suggestion would be that we meet in the

Promenade Lounge

between 2:45 pm and 3 pm,

as we have to be back in our room by 3:30 to prepare for the safety drill.

Then we could meet each other and see each other during the cruise and know who everyone is and who we have been talking to.

Actually, the Promenade Lounge would be better, as it has lots of chairs and tables and a bar, if someone wants something to drink.

We can still do some platters if we want from the Buffet. Not a problem there.

LET ME KNOW WHAT everyone thinks about that, please.

Have to unpack my bags and wash clothes and start packing them for next week.

I'll also read up on the thread and catch up today.

CAN'T WAIT TO MEET EVERYONE

:welcome: starlite72 to the Dis boards and our cruise!!!! We are having a dis meet on the first day. If you want to join let me know and we will add you to the list a few pages back. I did get a room at Atlantis through travelzoo.com at a great rate. We had a wonderful time last year on basically the same cruise. (12-10 four night)

Crystal27 should be doing her banana dance as she is under one week. We leave one week from today. My children are still clueless. They asked if they could open a present early and we told them "Yes, but lets wait till next Thursday and plan a special night"...They were fine with that response. They are thinking a nice relaxing night watching a movie after dinner and opening a gift!!!!! If they only knew that they will be at MVMCP!!!! I have to say I almost cant wait. I will still be packing tomorrow but oh well. When is everyone leaving?

I have been replacing beads where I had to have Christies dress altered for the Jingle Bell Ball this weekend at the Peabody. They are so small. I have to wear reading glasses to do it. What is up with that? I am only 39 and I feel like I am slowly but surely losing my 20/20 vision. The lady that altered the dress warned me that I would have to replace some beads and that she couldnt do it because it is so time consuming. My mom said she would do it for me but I wouldnt do that to her. I am almost finished.

Welcome new cruisers! We are looking forward to meeting you all! Without 100 people going through your room Kay, that sounds good the promenade deck sounds good.
My daughter thinks we are going on a business trip and she is allowed to go with, I think she suspects we are going to Disneyland, everytime we fly we go to Disneyland, so this is a little different. We occasionally watch the promotion dvd about the cruise, but we are not telling. Next Saturday morning at 12:30am we are flying out from Sacramento to Dallas to Orlando, been watching the weather in the locations and all looks good so far! I have been counting the days since October, so its down to counting minutes, and like everyone else we have a ton of things to do before we go. Looking forward to after the cruise to for our 11 days at the World! :dance3:
Beyond counting!

Hi everyone!

I cannot promise to make the meet as I've said earlier I'm traveling with a TON of family and for most it is their first time cruising. I'll see what I could do when the time comes, though.

If you take a look at my TRs (links below) you'll see what we look like and be able to spot us on the ship.

We leave on Saturday the 8th in the morning. We'll be at the BWV the night before the cruise. Can you believe we're in our final single digit countdown??!!

Kay - That sounds great. It may allow some of the ones who were unsure if they could come to drop by also. I wish we could come up with something to identify ourselves. We know what Melody, Amelia, Kay and crystal27 daughter looks like. I am technically challenged and dont know how to post a picture or I would. I am so excited. I think I want to go with Goofy 4 Disney for the eleven days after!!!!!! No rushing and you will get a chance for all of the parades etc. (Goofy 4 Disney are you going to try to see the ICE exhibit by Gaylord Palms? We went in Nashville TN and it was awesome. If you get a chance to do it ...it is nice, just carry your gloves and scarf. They give you a parka to wear over your coat. It was so cold that my digital camera would freeze. I would put it in my pocket to warm back up and take another picture.)
