I agree, what I'm gonna do is talk to concierge when they call and get the scoop as to how if possible we can work out a group brunch...

Then you will probably get another story But I think if you talk to them and note their name then should anything happen to the contrary on the ship someone should be able to fix it up.

I think that we are getting ourselves worked up over nothing. Since they hold reservations on the ship, I am sure we can get something worked out, and if not, like Chuck said, we can meet up at Cabanas for lunch one day....hey it's a vacation, time to relax and enjoy....not have our panties in a bunch...


Also, I was reading a trip report and they were talking about their meet on the first day. They met up at one of the bars I believe and they were able to do this ahead of time. I will go back and re-read to see how we need to proceed. I am thinking tho, we are going to be a smaller group then first thought as we are 4 months out and half the people have not come back on to post.

We can probably get away with meeting at one of the bars. And there is the possibility of looking into getting an area for the meet in case the group grows in the next few months.

Well, our home stay student will be here this afternoon and I've put clean sheets on DD's bed for her as I will give her DD's room for the nights she is with us. I bought new pillows for her to sleep on and made 18 chocolate cupcakes for snacks plus tidied up the best the house will get I hope she is nice. She's from Wisconsin and they don't have a beach there, so I'm hoping it won't be raining tomorrow afternoon as we are planning to take her to beach and have fish and chips for dinner. Now, it's time for me to kick back on the couch with a recipe book from the library for meal ideas

How long is your home stay student staying with you? I did that my senior year in high school, but I went to Vermont. My parents wouldn't let me leave the country. Wisconsin has a lot of lakes with beaches but nothing beats the beach by the ocean, especially in Australia.

I am hoping this brunch works out. If we keep it at 10 that should work.
I suppose they can push a few tables together. Dont see why the wouldnt.

So what the lady did was, call customer service, they e-mailed her a form, she filled it out sent it back and within 48 hours they had the D-lounge held for them for that time. I'm thinking around 3pm. that will give people time to get into their staterooms and start getting a little settled.

i was just going to tell you that is what we did. We actually had ours at the Bon Voyage Lounge right there in the Atrium, but it was a little small and lots of people kept trying to go around and through us. The D-Lounge is probably a good one!!

I had read that on the boards too, but figured our group really isn't that big yet. But definitely getting a space reserved would be great if it gets bigger.

I think we had already decided on 3:00. We had to pick a time and hope people can make it.

I think 3 is great...say 3-4 so people don't feel they have to rush. I don't know about you, but I'm really getting excited!!!!!!

With so much going on for us this year with selling the house, moving 2x, and now just got an email at work that layoffs again in October and my area is targeted this time. I just haven't been real excited about the cruise. Definitely looking forward to it but just not there yet with the

Pixies that the layoffs don't hit you!! And you have been real busy!! I've just been worrying about furloughs and my son's deployment, I have focused into it harder I think! Plus, I just paid it off, my booking date is in about three weeks, so I more focused in!

So I am driving home from work tonite. Its a two lane 1/2 country road... some open fields and farm land and some new sub-divisions and schools going up.....anyhow, traffic is pretty heavy in both directions, especially the traffic coming the other way....when all of a sudden behind some guy with an SUV a car comes pulling out right in front of me, like it wants to pass this person...I swerved to get out of the way and this girl hits my car...well my mirror on the drivers side and knock it half off my car...
at least that was the only damage to the car...so now I have no mirror...pretty upset right now. Have to go to the police station tomorrow and pick up the report and then make calls to get the car in for repairs...not really happy right now.

But at least I am ok, she also hit another car....from what I understand she was "adjusting her air conditioning and didn't notice the cars in front of her stopped so she swerved to avoid them"...
