December 7, 2013 - Winter Fantasy Cruise

So I am driving home from work tonite. Its a two lane 1/2 country road... some open fields and farm land and some new sub-divisions and schools going up.....anyhow, traffic is pretty heavy in both directions, especially the traffic coming the other way....when all of a sudden behind some guy with an SUV a car comes pulling out right in front of me, like it wants to pass this person...I swerved to get out of the way and this girl hits my car...well my mirror on the drivers side and knock it half off my car...
at least that was the only damage to the car...so now I have no mirror...pretty upset right now. Have to go to the police station tomorrow and pick up the report and then make calls to get the car in for repairs...not really happy right now.

But at least I am ok, she also hit another car....from what I understand she was "adjusting her air conditioning and didn't notice the cars in front of her stopped so she swerved to avoid them"...

How long is your home stay student staying with you? I did that my senior year in high school, but I went to Vermont. My parents wouldn't let me leave the country. Wisconsin has a lot of lakes with beaches but nothing beats the beach by the ocean, especially in Australia.

Two nights. It's her last night tonight. We went to the aquarium to see reef fish after school then had fish and chips by the beach. Now we are watching football. It's our equivalent of Super Bowl, minus the hoopla. They're off to another location tomorrow.

Oh my goodness that is crazy! I hope her insurance pays your repairs.

Working on trying to get my car in and fixed and it has not been a easy task, these insruance people, do not like to return phone calls....so at this point nothing has even begun with getting information about how to start this fun process...what fun...

it is so hot out here.....I am not complaining....but is sure is hot.....

DH hit a kangaroo just over a month ago with his ute (pick up) and it is finally finished getting repaired! It wasn't even badly damaged. It wasn't the insurer who dragged their heels, it was the repairers incompetence by ordering wrong parts or not ordering at all. Every time we called they said it would be ready the next day then that day would arrive and there'd be another excuse. Now it's ready and DH doesn't get home until Monday we can't get it back until he gets home because I can't drive in to get it and manage to get my car and his car home. I'm very unimpressed with the repairer and once we get the car home I'm calling the insurer to tell them how useless the repairer was

Ugh!!! That's just the worst! I don't know how they do it there, but here the insurance company tells you where you can have the repairs done. Thank goodness we've had good luck with our insurance company and the businesses they use!!

You put your ticker in your signature page.. Go to User CP, edit signature and put it in there. There is a button to preview to make sure you have it right!

So sad for the kangaroo, but also sad for your truck...it is such a headache and stressful getting this stuff done and together...ugh I hate it not to mention an inconvience.....


Well I sent the e-mail to Disney about reserving the room, I received the form back today...so I am taking count about how many people will be showing up for the meet on facebook....I think counting kids to we should have a decent turn out....

Just came in from watering my tomatoes and bushes....feel like I just took a shower with my clothes on...ick....

It's sad that insurance companies are always quick to get your money but always drag their feet when it's time to pay out

It depends on your insurer as to where you send your car. Ours has particular ones they deal with, like ours, others say it's your own choice where you take it to. Usually you have to get two or three quotes before the insurer approves it though. Our insurer says we deal with X so that's who you are sending it to. They only gave us one option so I hope it's not the only one where we live that we would have to deal with if we need it again The insurer was good with the dog's operation, though, it was our own choice of vet and I phoned them, told them what had happened to her and they said to email or fax the receipt in and the money was in my account the next day

I hate this heat! When the temp is 80° at 4:30AM and the real feel is almost 90° How sad is it that it's COOLER in Florida? Boy, Chuck, y'all moved at the right time!!!!!

It's so hot, I'm just feeling wore out. I'm going to take an early leave today to get the heck out of dodge. It's just so blasted hot out today...
I find myself daydreaming of the pool and bar on the ship.....isttnig by the pool with the drink of the day, plunging into the coool cooool water......

OH I WANT TO BE THERE NOW!!!!!!!!
