2 years ago we made the same mistake, went to Vero Beach for 4 days then the parks for 4 days.

What did you think of Vero Beach? We haven't gone there yet. We did a couple of days at Hilton Head and loved it, but were a little sad we weren't ON THE BEACH as I love late night/early mornings listening to the ocean. Is Vero ON the beach?:beach:

Yes, Vero is right on the beach. Sunrises were beautiful and if you are there at the right time you may get to see some sea turtles nesting. We only got to see the tracks and the nests ropes off.

We had a good time, although we found the pool to be very crowded and a little too noisy for us. The beach is nice but when we were there the water was pretty rough. You had to rent chairs for the beach, it didn't cost a lot but annoyed, it should be part of the resort.

We did a tour on the Indian river that was good and got to see some manatees. We also found close by dining options very limited.

We definitely had a good time, we always make the best of things, but we would not be in a rush to go back.

now I have a question...

Anybody planning a pre or post trip to the world?
We were originally going for a week, making it a two-week trip, but now looking at about three days prior. Doing that this coming cruise so will see if it's a good idea or not!

No not this trip....I usally dont but last year we spent one day at Epcot the day we go off the ship. Which turned out to be terrible as it was the last weekend of the food and wine and I have never, seen Epcot so crowded, wall to wall people. We didnt do any rides, went to ADR at Mexico and then left...so I spent a lot of money on one day tickets and spent like 2.5 hours there... I am not blaming Disney, just me for being stupid and not knowing that I should have gone to another park....:(

oooh, snagged it...

:jumping1: just an FYI, you are in the lead for Top-----:goodvibes

Guess I am going to have to keep a very close eye on this, if I'm going to stay in the running!!!! ::yes::

Yes, we learned our lesson a couple years ago...don't go to Epcot on the weekends during food and Wine! ::yes::

Just spent the day at home after Mass putting up some apple butter. Have to make another batch before the boys come over or I won't have any for me for the winter! Made ten pint jars, Sulley is taking 4 to work with him...leaves me 6 but the boys and the grands can go through that in a weekend.

Apple butter, sounds yummy.....

We normally at this time of year make a lot of habenro salsa, but our croup of plants did aweful this summer with the draught. So no sala's here...but I dont eat it anyway, way to hot for me, (plus my house smells for days after we make it :crazy2:) so I really am not missing the fact that we did make any this year.

Well just keeping an eye on the site to see who's lurking!!:scratchin

:wave2:

I set one up: Disney Fantasy Dec 7th, 2013 It's a closed group. You can find it, see who is in it, but can't see posts. I do have a question, should I accept any request to join or restrict to those who are on the roll call.

Well, if restricted to roll call, I would suggest that those requesting to join should put their Disboards name on the request or some other way to identify them on the roll call.

it doesn't matter to me, but I know some people are very private, that's why I asked.

I put "Disney Fantasy Dec 7th, 2013" in the search bar on Facebook and nothing came up. Tried just Disney Fantasy and a few other variations--still nothing. May need a link--Angie

Hello! cant wait to sail again! Hoping to be bringing my parents, sis, bro and nephew on this awesome adventure, but am still working on convincing them. This will be our 3rd cruise, cant wait!
