Lisa...I don't know where you are....but it's cold, rainy and gloomy down here in the tropics.... It's like 40....thats cold for here!!!!

It's already been a GREAT day......we think we have/had our investment(yeah right) property in ORL sold....now they want us to pay something we are NOT going to pay....so that may mean
the contract falling through.....and one of the guys here at the
Fire Department just wrecked one of the trucks...not one of the fire engines....just one of the utility trucks.....

So....and it's only 0900...................

OH WELL,....have fun in the snow......

Hey Phyllis! So, do you guys work at the fire station? There is a regular in chat on Friday nights that does. You make me wonder if we have been chatting all along. LOL!

No snow here & no more ice right now either. I am tempted to take the kids to Target to just get them out of the house.

Lisa...I work in the office at our local fire department...with the fleet maintenance group.

I haven't been in Friday night chat in a year or more...I always forget.....and if it was like this past Friday night...I was asleep
by 9 pm!!!!!!!!

I'm putting work orders in the computer...and I have to stop
every once in a while and take a break....it makes my eyes crazy and my wrist...sitting and inputting numbers......

Who is in chat that works for a FD?????

Sorry to say that I am actually enjoying this immensely - but of course, Tom already shovelled the driveway, and all I have to do is sit here and look outdoors. Maybe later I'll sit in my hot tub and think of mango tangos!

Rae.......It's snowing like crazy here now, it started about 4 am. They are forcasting 6 inches plus lake effect??? Which they have no idea what that will be. That's not the worst......25-35 mph winds with blowing and drifting snow!!! And if that's not enough......temps falling into the single digits!!!! That means 20 below zero...... It's not supposed to be above zero tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

As I sit here at work and listen to my salesmen laugh on the showroom floor (at whatever they are watching T.V.) I see the snow STILL falling and my "weather bug" on my computer says 9 degrees............Yuk!!!!!!!!!!

This weather is the pits! They are delaying school here for 2 hours again tomorrow because of the probable ice tonight. At least I will have almost 1 1/2 hours to myself tomorrow morning!!! Now what am I going to get done?

Hi there! Thank you for the invite to the thread! I'm in high-obsessive planning mode even though we're 10 months out. 9 of us in our group - four in my family including DD 5 and DS who will be 20 months, plus my parents, my college roomie, her hubbie, and their DS 4. This is DCL #2 for us and for my roomie's family (we did a Wonder 4-day a year and half ago), and DCL #1 for my parents. They usually do Radisson cruises and are in shock at the prospect of >2500 on a ship! Oh well - I think they'll enjoy it! Now if we can only get rid of the snow and ice - we're icing over right now in Northern VA......

Welcome, Flexsmom!!! Glad to have you join us! This is our second cruise too but the planning obsession hasn't set in yet like it did for the first last year. Another VA gal here. I was born in Norfolk and graduated from JMU. DH & I moved down to NC in 1994. He graduated from VATech. DH is from Stafford and we have friends & family in Frederickburg. The news doesn't look good up there right now weather wise for you right now. I am worried because DH has a road trip to Pax River Thursday via 95. Hopefully things will be clearing up by then???

My DS will turn 6 2 weeks before the cruise. Good to have another kid that will be in the club with him in the group. When you get a chance I posted my email and information that I am putting together on our group's website. It's nothing fancy, but will give us all the chance to see each other before we sail. DS loved looking at the pictures of the other kids on our last cruise & felt like they were friends already when they finally met.

The others sailing with us are far more experienced cruisers so we have a wealth of knowledge to um...take advantage of while finding out all we need to know before we cruise.
