December 4,2004 !!!

Anyone remember the dining rotation for the western?
Which nights were formal night? I plan on holding my birthday celebration the last night. If diversions has that GREAT English pub night again that is where it will be,, it was so funny... I wish DeeAnn was joining us, I miss her :(

Actually, I am hoping that the kids will go to the club while we walk around Key West a bit. We are both Parrotheads :) so we definantly would like to see Margarittaville. If the kids go with us, we may take a trolly tour but that is probably it. They don't like to be off the ship for long. As far as the other ports, I really haven't looked into the excursions. We didn't do any last cruise & enjoyed ourselves just walking around the port for an hour or so, then returning to the almost empty ship. :smooth: I will probably do more research this summer as we are getting more excited about it. Cost is also something that I consider. I would rather just do a little shopping & enjoy the ship, then enjoy something at the spa instead of paying for an excursion. It will depend on how well Ebay does for me this year.

Ann, from what I have read, formal night is Monday and Semi Formal is Thursday. Tropical night is Wednesday. I have only done eastern though & the nights were different.

And I am trying to remember, I know the formal/smi are always on at sea days and the mexicali is in cozumel, so that would work sunday and thurs. yup I think you are right. So we will do palo either tuesday or weds I think.

Hello again! Lisa, I e-mailed you my family info for the website. If you don't have it by now, let me know and I'll resend. We're trying to decide between the brunch or the high tea at Palo - I know we definitely want to do dinner. It may be just a "girl" event for tea. I haven't been to either - only dinner. So which would you do if you had to pick - brunch or high tea?

With two kids, we're leaning towards doing the trolley at Key West to wander for an hour or two and get back on board - or maybe even just look at the town from the ship! I think I'm one of those few who wouldn't terribly mind seven "days at sea" to tell the truth! Have any of you done the Atlantis submarine? I think my daughter would love seeing what's below the waterline.

Rae - as the mom of a little girl and a baby boy, I must say that you awe me. My son has been ill lately, and in the hospital for several days in December - I remember thinking when he was admitted that I couldn't imagine anything more important than making him warm and cozy in my arms for a few minutes, and that I wouldn't know what I would do without him. Anyhow, your daughter is beautiful, as is her gift to so many others......

Thanks flexmom - she was a loving and giving child that was our privilege to have shared our lives with! Thank you.

We will be at Shades of Green on Disney property from Saturday til Friday - then heading over to the Port. Have been invited to stay with friends at Cocoa Beach - but we'd love to have a DisMeet that night, if possible! So keep this in mind when you are making plans - you can sleep anywhere, but we can always get together somewhere to visit prior to the cruise.

Rae

We are driving in from Virgina and are thinking about leaving around 2-4am on Thursday night/Friday morning so the kids sleep. We have reservations at the Radisson - assuming we get there in time to enjoy them and collapse into a bed for a while to get rested before all of the fun begins! We will be hookin up with my parents at the Radisson. I would love to do a DISMeet!

Lisa - I will try sending my info again!

Carol

The Radisson has always been the place for DISmeets on Friday night - as long as we have one registered guest there, I don't think they'd mind if we came by and visited!!

Rae

wellI would like to set up an informal meet like last year at the goofy pool bar before the drill... It worked good for me and then folks can hook up on their own or we can do another more formal one, but I really do focus on my tan time on the cruise..
Rae... that Dam fox is back.. but luckilly it is further off in the woods, 12 days until I go to florida,, 12days................

Hey guys....I'm back!!!it's been nuts. So the Radisson is the thing for those of us flying out a day early "just in case of weather". Is the Radisson the one by the airport??

the radisson is near the port.. we may end up there but for the price I think I can do better.. if I get a hit on priceline I will let you all know

I was checking airfare and ATA is down to 900.00 for the 4 of us on Friday!!! I'm thinking of the 5:37 p.m. flight so the DDs don't have to miss but one week of school!! But then again, how productive do you think they'll be?

that is a good deal so far in advance! I usually use southwest and can't book until about 3 months out.. still was shot down by hotwire again today, will try again in three days.
Hey off topic some but has anyone been to ft. lauderdale ? any must do's for our quicky trip?

I found a $223 roundtrip from Denver on Delta for my sister for December. Tends to be an expensive market, but that was cheaper than the rate from DC!

Ann, have you had any luck with a hotel yet? I am sure glad that we are within driving distance after seeing all of the flight prices. I wouldn't be able to even think about a cruise every year. Hope that everyone's weather has improved this week also. We have had 2 really pretty days, though it started pouring again tonight. :( At least the kids have been able to run around outside at preschool for 2 days. They haven't been able to go out in weeks.

Hi all!
Doing better - at least I'm able to sit for a short time now!!! To celebrate Tom brought me up crackers, cheese and wine ---- Michael is visiting the neighbors.....ahhhh!!!!

Rae

It was very stormy here this week.. we had no school today, with snow that has now changed to freezing rain. I can re bid again on Sat. I think, we have the preschool play this weekend so I will have to see if I have time, I was going to set up today but the plow didn't arrive until after five pm so I will have to go on Sat. I am SO glad we are going away in ten days.. this has been the coldeset winter yet..........

I can't believe the surgery took twice as long!!
Wine and cheese my favorites! Enjoy dear Rae :)

It's so good to hear from you, Rae!!! Take good care of yourself now! That's an order. ;)
