December 2015 Check-In Thread

I haven't been on the boards much, but I will be leaving by train (1st time) tomorrow, Dec 4th-8th!! We are staying at Del Sol Inn! Never been there for the Christmas season! I can't wait!!!:yay:

Dec 10-15, staying at Hilton. This is our make up trip. We were supposed to go in October but I had to have surgery so we had to cancel that trip. We really didn't think that we would be able to work out our schedules to try again, but my DH managed to get a few days off, so we are doing the happy dance!!!

I bought a really cool pin at Dapper Day in Sept. for my December trip :) It's a sparkly red 'D' and I can't wait to wear it! I have one for my sister and one for me. A really nice couple makes them and all kinds of other neat things, including wooden tiki drummer pins. I just packed the pins in my carry-on so I don't forget them!

I have to cancel a BB Fantasmic! dinner reservation that is for Sunday, 12/6 @ 5:50PM. If you are in need of this reservation, I hope you can pick it up. It should be there in few minutes. December trip has to be postponed until Jan 4 - 8. :(

Forgot to mention it's for a party of 3 and that seems to be the only way it's showing up in the search right now.

4.5 more sleeps for me :) Leaving Thursday morning. Now 99.9% packed. Just need to throw in some Bonine for my motion sickness and I'll be done! I'm so excited!

I've heard (read) crowds are "bad" but I've been there in July the last 2 years, and during One More Disney Day 2012, so I'm not scared of some crowds! ;) A crowded day at Disney is better than any day at work!

We got here a few hours ago but are hanging out by the DLH pool. I have lost count of the number of trips the boy has taken on the various monorail slides.

First day in the parks tomorrow - will report back with how the crowds are.

@lvdis - sorry you had to reschedule! Hope your loved one is doing okay.

We got here yesterday about 11:15. The first three hours are super important. Get here early and it's manageable. But once it hits 11:00 limit your expectations and how quickly you can move from place to place. After the fireworks things really cleared out last night too.

I was hoping that was the case. We are on mountain time and my kids get up at the buttcrack of dawn so making rope drop won't be a problem. I figure lunch at 11am or so, back to the hotel for the afternoon rest and then to the parks again to close it out.

We're in Disneyland now and got to use the back walkway behind the Main Street shops (locker side). Crowds today are epic. 135 minutes for Hyperspace Mtn, 120 for Star Tours. 60 minutes for Pirates. Weekdays were reasonable so today is food and people watching if we're not napping at the hotel. Weekdays are rides. Crowds felt normal-busy during the weekdays. :)

Now, looking from the River Belle Terrace dining area toward NOS.
