December 2013.

Hi all!
Plane tickets have been purchased. (1st time flyers here) :yay:
Nov 30 - Dec 7 @ POFQ (4th trip & 1st time not at All Stars) :yay:
My 32nd bday and 14th anniversary falls during this week and the hub's bday is right after we get back home so we are c-e-l-e-b-r-a-t-i-n-g it up big time this year. :dance3:
We have always wanted to see the Christmas decorations, but we always have gone the 1st of Feb due to lower prices/crowds. Which is awesome, but also you always have more ride refurbs and no Christmas. So, we bit the bullet and scheduled for the 1st week of Dec this year.
We always drive and it SUCKS to drive, lol. Esp on the way back home...so we watched closely at plane deals and found one that we could make work with our budget! Yay!!!
Now, I am kind of bummed about the free dining offer, but I'm not giving up hope yet! It's not Official, so its not over.
Just wanted to introduce myself and say that I asked to join the fb group as well. May you get lots of pixie dust at your stay!:santa:

We are arriving Nov 30th, too. Like you, usually go in early Feb or late Jan to get the cheaper room rates. We went the first full week of February and really wanted to see the Christmas decorations this year. So we booked a bounce back discount, 35% RO discount, which was offered for the dates Nov 30th to Dec 4th, which is how we ended up with this week. There are a lot of people going to WDW this first week of December. I hope it isn't too crowded. :scared:

We just booked our flights yesterday!! Just deciding on where to stay this time. Decisions! Decisions! Love being at Disney for the Christmas Season!!

I am looking for opinions, my birthday falls on the 23rd of Dec and I am planning on being in Disney from the 9 to the 16th do you think it is appropriate to celebrate my birthday while there and get a pin? I would only do this for 1 day but my family has already suggested it so I am just trying to see what other people think. Thanks!

I think it is close enough to wear the birthday pin. Anyone who has a birthday that close to Christmas deserves the extra attention. :goodvibes
My birthday is Dec 25th.

Agreed. My Aunts birthday is in Christmas and everyone tends to forget her birthday. I always make sure to tell her happy birthday before merry Christmas

Wow the 25th! I thought 2 days before was rough growing up I can't imagine Christmas day!! Thanks I have just read some stuff on Dis with people venting about people wearing the pins when it really isn't their birthday so I guess I am a little self conscious about the whole pin thing. :rolleyes1 .

Thats awesome. One year I had a really good friend of mine call me on my birthday and wish me a Merry Christmas!! I had no idea what to say, she completely forgot it was my birthday and even though I am an adult it kinda stunk.

Christmas seems to trump everything that time if year. Everyone else gets special attention with birthdays in other months and December birthdays don't. DH birthday is November (sometimes falling on Thanksgiving) and he says he never felt like his birthday was overlooked bc of the holiday.

Thats really nice, my mother always made sure to have cake on my birthday and never on Christmas and if someone brought a present in christmas paper she would tell them to wrap it again. I am Glad that you DH never felt overlooked even being close or on Thanksgiving!

My mother always wrapped my birthday presents in Christmas paper. She said it was too much trouble to buy birthday paper. :rolleyes2

But now that I'm an adult, I like my Christmas birthday. My husband and kids and sisters always make it special for me. :goodvibes

Oh wow! We do the same thing, lol. Yes, I am worried about the crowds too. We are used to level 1 or 2 so even a regular crowd may seem crazy to us, but you know all about that. Hoping though!!! :) Just think...to see the Osborne lights...even with more people it'll be worth it. :)

My husbands bday is the 15th, but we are celebrating it on the 5th while at Disney. He always celebrates early to be all together with our anniversary and my bday. I say wear the pin! :) if you feel weird you can always take it off.

My daughter's birthday is December 28th. Whenever we go to Disney in December we always let her wear the pin. One day we were in MK for the Christmas Party. When Mrs. Claus came by she look right at my daughter and said "Happy Birthday Ashley". That was the best. It took me a couple of years to find out Disney's trick about making that extra magic but I finally got it!!!
