I also may have swiped a Mickey head or two or hundred....:confused3 I made my countdown calendar with them last year. Now I will have to be creative this year.

I'm sure this has been shared here before but I thought I would post it incase anyone has missed it - I only came across it tonight and my 'plan' for the party is locked-in :cool1: Great guide :thumbsup2 MVMCP Strategy Guide

I read that awhile ago. Thanks for sharing. I am going to add it to the links section on Post #2.

Also all the links to LGMH are in the 2nd post as well, so no one has to go searching for it.

I will wave on the 15th. :wave2: We will be checking in to CSR that day. You have a much better attitude about missing free dining than I do. I couldn't convince DH to let me fly down on Thursday and have him join me on Saturday. Like I keep saying, I will just savor every bite of my expensive food. :thumbsup2

I'd be more upset but my discount was really good, I'm not sure what exactly it was but it works out to about 40% off the room. And my kids are too young to get FD so that doesn't factor in to the cost.

If that's the case, I bet you are better off with the room discount.

As a Fl resident, free dining just isn't worth it to us. The room only discounts paired with FL resident tickets etc just end up saving us way more (when offered). Plus, with free dining, you still have to pay gratuity.

Add us to the list of those going in Dec!!!:cool1:

We will be at AKV Kidani Village in a studio from Dec 22-24 then SSR in a 1 bedroom Dec 24-28. Our kids have no idea so it'll be a huge surprise! They were so upset we had to cancel our trip for Aug but boy are they going to be happy come Dec 22nd :rotfl:

So you are one of the reasons they got pulled  :lmao:

I'm trying to get into scrapbooking but I find it quite overwhelming - just recently found the creative section here and have been a scrap lurker :)

It can be overwhelming but it honestly shouldn't. There are some sites with beginner guides. I can send you some links if you're interested. I've been a scrapper for years and I really love it.

I haven't been to the Creative section of the DIS in a while. But I found it more chatty and less creative than I would prefer. It's fun though to talk to people that share all your interests. though I have to confess, I've done very little disney scrapping. I want to start a Disney album but the project just seems a little daunting.

Alright fellow December travelers. I am in need of help to pick my last restaurant... I can not decide :confused3

It needs to be in MK, DTD, or at a resort. (We are spending the day at MK and do not have park hoppers) And only use one meal credit.

This is what we already have booked

CP-Dinner (Should I try to get breakfast instead??)
Le-cellier- Lunch
Tusker House Restaurant-Lunch
The Garden Grill Restaurant-Dinner
Chef Mickey's-Lunch (really hope to move to dinner)
Hollywood & Vine-Lunch (are characters still there for lunch??)

As you can tell we are doing alot of character dining. Our DS will be 16 months so we want it to be a fun/memorable as possible. Right now I am considering Ohana, Kona or 1900 Park Fare. I have read great reviews for Kona and Ohana. 1900 Park Fare would be for the characters.

Also any other thoughts about our meals would be appreciated. We have not ate at ANY of the restaurants so all of your opinions/advice would be appreciated. TIA :goodvibes

I haven't eaten there in a long time , but since you're into character meals, how about Crystal Palace?

I vote for Be Our Guest!!! I have heard great things about Kona and Ohana. Trying them both this trip. Ohana has characters too if you go for breakfast. Not sure which meal you are looking for. Can you still get an Ohana dinner ADR??

I would really appreciate that - thanks :goodvibes I have tons of pretty scrapbooking supplies. I go to JoAnns and Archivers all the time and buy stuff, its kinda like jewelery for me I like to look at it but its time I started actually using it :teeth:

Celebrating our 21st Anniversary @ Caribbean Beach Resort!

Nov 29-Dec 4th

First time :

Staying at CBR
Seeing the Christmas Decorations
CandleLight Processional
Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party

The last time it was just my husband and I at Disney was our Honeymoon :lovestruc

Really looking forward to this trip!!!

For those of you (like me) who already booked and are bummed that you will miss out on Free Dining because you didn't plan to arrive on Dec 10-13, I learned a strategy trick from my friends on TripAdvisor.

We booked our MYW package for Dec. 8-15 through our travel agent. If we want to get the free dining, we'll have to modify our reservation so that Dec 8 & 9 are Room Only. Then we'll book a MYW package for Dec. 10-15 (5 nights) with 7-day park tickets. When we arrive on Saturday the 8th, we'll just pick up our park tickets early (apparently you can do that).
So, we'll have to pay OOP for any food those first two days, and we'll only get 5 credits/pp, but, for me, it's better that having to shell out money for food. This our first time going and as much as I am frugal, I don't want to have to worry about spending money on food, and I'd like to have a couple character meals.

Anyway, hope this helps.

If we did Ohana it would have to be breakfast. I totally forgot about BOG. If by some miracle there is availability :rotfl2: it will def be my first pick!

We have crystal palace for Dinner already, I was trying not to repeat. I just wish I would have got one of the early morning adrs.

We're checking in at CBR the same day you are! You're also the first DISer that I've seen staying at CBR during that week. We have a POTC room booked. Make sure you wear a LGMH so we know who you are!

Keep trying. On our first family trip I booked 5 days out. (it was a change in plans but we already had airline tickets to Orlando.) Anyway, I was able to get CP at 8:10. We had no idea at the time how lucky that was. There must've been a cancellation. So it pays to keep trying, especially with very limited FD in Dec. plenty of people will cancel.

We will be arriving on dec 1st and leaving dec 9th..We are staying at pop century..we cant wait have never been at christmas time before..:thumbsup2

Who here is a repeater for Christmas week? Share some of your experiences...think crowd control.....

Yep, printed it.....only I didn't realize it was 98 pages long. :lmao:

Oh, and about the paint chips......guilty :wave2:
:offtopic: here for a second. My daughter is 21 years old.....I've been scrapbooking for 20 of those years and have taught classes for about half of that time. Haven't had time recently but I think Disney trips are perfect mojo enhancers!

I vote for Be Our Guest!!!

Just an FYI, but Be Our Guest will NOT be character dining. I was super bummed to hear that. My girlfriend and I are planning on doing a counter service lunch at BOG, since we have too many table service meals we want to experience.
