**December 2012 Roll Call** Holidays, FLE Opening & MVMCP!! A very, merry thread!

We're going to be there for the weekend that the Disney Christmas Day parade is taped. How do you get tickets to be part of this?

I am not sure it is an event that you can sign up to be a part of but more of something to be aware of- that it might be more crowded or inconvenient with the crews there. We are actually avoiding MK those days.

We will be at CSR December 9-15 with free dining!!!
Now all we are waiting for id BOG to start taking reservations. Then all the planning will be done.

Now the big question is... to MVMCP or not to MVMCP? Decisions, decisions!

Well, I was accepting of the fact that we WOULD NOT do MVMCP. I actually wasn't even going to mention it to dh since he tends to worry about spending too much money . Anyway, he was looking at restaurant menus online and asked me about MVMCP and whether or not characters would be walking around in Christmas garb......when I told him that you only see that at the party he said, "Well, we're doing that, aren't we"?
So, it looks like I'm buying tickets for the party.....and we'll be there along with everyone else on Dec 11th

We changed our dates from 12/1--12/8 to 11/29--12/6, for FD, so add us to the list!

Lime Green Mickey Head - its how DISers recognise one another - they used to use the Disney paint chips at Home Depot but they no longer do them ... probably because they were being taken in bulk for LMGH's and craft projects (a lot of scrapbookers used them).

If you go back a couple of pages weHEARTmickey posted some examples for us to use.

I'm gonna make mine using lime green cardstock

I found it....and saved it to my computer! Thank you for pointing this out (I don't know how I missed that page of posts). And thank you, weHEARTmickey for going through the trouble of making these! I have the Mickey silhoutte punch but I think it's probably smaller than this!

We decided on the 6:45pm show on the 23rd. So our ADR is for 4pm. My husband is actually a lot more interested in seeing the CP now that he knows he is supposed to be the narrator!

We are doing the 24th...very excited!

Thanks for posting that- great info and I was cracking up at the comments about the characters in the parade. It is funny to see them all bundled up in winter garb and see guests in shorts.

I debated changing the dates from the 9th to the 10th for free dining but I've decided to keep my dates since I booked with a discount code, from my estimations it would only save us about $110 and changing our dates and ADR's just isn't worth it.

We've got our tickets for MVMCP for the 11th. I've been this time of year (my favorite) but never to MVMCP and this is the boys first trip. YEAH!

I'm planning on starting a pre-trip report soon, I'll add it up here when I start it.

I will wave on the 15th. We will be checking in to CSR that day. You have a much better attitude about missing free dining than I do. I couldn't convince DH to let me fly down on Thursday and have him join me on Saturday. Like I keep saying, I will just savor every bite of my expensive food.
