Got the ADRs I wanted! Arriving Dec 1st! :cool1:

Now if they will just fill in the TBA spots for the CP, I would be even happier!

Great Post !! Love it...In my opinion, one of the 2 best times of the year to go. October for MNNSHP and Food and Wine and period between Thanksgiving and Christmas (early December). I will be there with DW and also our DGD8 and DGD9. This will be theie first times to WDW and our first time using our DVC points at the VWL. Figured it was about time we invested in this as we certainly spend enough money there the old fashioned way......

Our projected highlight will be us grand-parents crying as our special needs GD9 lights up, screams with joy and points to Cinderella Castle which she has talked about for several years. Also, our combination BBB and Lunch at the Castle so she can see her favorite Disney character, Cinderella who has been on her wall since she was a baby.......... we have our box of kleenex ready to go - I am sure our eyes will be filled with tears of joy several times during this trip.....a little girls heart is going to be lifted alot as she is going to have some of her dreams come true......thats our Christmas Gift..!!!! Love you all !!!!!! cant wait to share our experiences with you folks afterwards.....See ya

Ok... So we've all seen the roster and noticed that there are a few TBA's. And some are like me that booked their CP ADR without even knowing who their narrator might be. For those that don't know, here are the TBA dates:

December 2 to December 4, 2012 - TBA
December 5 to December 7, 2012 - TBA
December 8 to December 10, 2012 - TBA
December 17 to December 19, 2012 - TBA
December 26 to December 28, 2012 - TBA

So I went through the listings of previous years to see if I could deduce a pattern of past narrators, that haven't committed this year, that might fit in these slots.

I think it would be a safe bet that the 12/26-28 will probably be Edward James Olmos. He has a history of doing his shows close to, if not on, Christmas day. Also, I think that the 12/17-19 could be filled by either Lorraine Bracco or Abigail Breslin. Both of whom have performed at this time.

So that leaves 3 narrators 12/2-10. 2 almost locks would be John O'Hurly (GOD!!! I would love to hear J. Peterman narrate) and Steven Curtis Chapman. That leaves 1 slot open. I think this would be filled by a newcomer, and I think Disney will stay in house (sort of). I think that they might tap someone from either 1 of their ABC Wednesday shows or 1 of their popular ABCFamily shows.

When you look at it, the talent pool available, just from those 2 resources, is fairly impressive. Here is a list of people from there that I believe might want to narrate.

The Middle
Patricia Heaton, Neil Flynn

Suburgatory
Jeremy Sisto

Modern Family
Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet ( <-would be AWESOME!!!!)

Revenge
Madeleine Stowe

Melissa & Joey
Melissa Joan Hart

Bunheads
Sutton Foster

Pretty Little Liars
Chad Lowe
Holly Marie Combs

Baby Daddy
Chelsea Kane (WAY outside shot but has a history w/ Disney & ABC)

Of the list, the most likely would be Patricia Heaton, Jeremy Sisto, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell and Melissa Joan Hart. But, like I said, it would be AWESOME if they could get Stonestreet to do it on our night.

I agree Eric Stonestreet would be great!! But wow, BDL you have a lot of time on your hands today. ;)

SO excited for you - yep, don't forget those kleenex!! :goodvibes

We are going to rent a golf cart for the night and drive ourselves around the entire FW to see all of the lights. I've been told that is a lot better than doing the sleigh ride.

Hmm....not a bad idea. Can the carts be rented by the hour do you know? Also, how far in advance can you reserve one?

I'd like to share a little story with you. Last night, my sister was over. And she has always given me and BDLsgal grief for choosing to go to Disney, instead of going on the random cruises that her, my sister-in-law, my folks, and other family members and friends, like to go on. To the point where she literally said "Why do you go down in Decemeber? There's nothing to do in December." So, last night, I had BDLsgal show her the itinerary that I had come up with, for our trip. Her response was priceless. The symphony of "Oooohs and Ahhhhhs" was music. Then she got to the part where I printed out the menus of the restaurants we were going to. You'd think she was ordering her last meal from death row the way she was looking at it. Same thing with the cocktails and wine lists. But the cherry on top, was when I got my Kindle Fire (thanks LIL) and showed her youtube's of Osbourne Lights and the Castle lighting. Her response was AWESOME. My sister, who has never been wrong or mistaken in her life said "If you guys are going in 2014, we'll consider going."

:lmao: :rotfl: :woohoo: :cool1:

Hi all does anyone know how long into January the osborne lights run? We are thinking of going to HS Jan 3 and 4th but do not want to miss the show.

That is awesome!!!!

Currently planning to be at HS on 12/05. Really excited to see the Osborne Lights. Anyway, just noticed that HS is closing early (7pm) that night for the POP Warner kids event. Curious what time they start the Osborne Lights and if we would have adequate time to see them before close. Also, if the PW crowds would start arriving early and effect things.

I'm not sure if it will be different on a PW night, but typically the lights turn on at 6pm.

I have the opposite issue. We are keeping our trip a secret from my SIL so she doesn't try and come! :rotfl2:
Let's just say we brought her to Maine last year for a week with us and SHE was the only one on vacation. It was like having another kid! Actually worse.
:laundy: <---me
:coffee: <---her

Got all the ADR's we wanted, including Le Cellier! :cool1: So excited, and now things are all the more real! We got our airfare, tickets and room and we're all set, except our Universal tickets, because I get mine on base, and they are changing prices right now....but....got all my dinners and both breakfasts we wanted! I'll post what and what time when I'm slightly more awake.....:rotfl:
