After receiving a 30% off PIN via snail mail a few months ago (that we decided to pass on) found the free dining offer in my husband's spam mail yesterday morning. He had actually received an initial without the PIN at the bottom and then sent another 2 days later that said Oops we forgot your PIN.
Details:
Free Disney Dining with the purchase of a non-discounted 4-night/5-day Magic Your Way room and ticket package at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
For arrivals most nights 9/30-1-/4/12; 10/19-11/1/12; 11/9-11/15/12; 11/23-11/29/12; 12/10-12/13/12. Book now through 7/28/12.
Excludes campsites and 3-bedroom villas, Disney's Art of Animation Resort suites included. All other suites excluded.

Spoke with a CM as we are planning to check in 11/29/12 and she said is should be available to use for our entire stay as we are checking in on last day, worst case scenario we have to check in a day early to make it available for our whole stay... oh darn!

Which resort are you staying at? We're also arriving on 11/29.

Why oh Why can't I get a PIN?! A general public offer likely won't benefit me since our check in date is during POP Warner. I would be on if I could get a PIN!

I am a newbie to this too! I am booking through AAA and have been researching like mad! Like a PP said, there is so much info! It's so overwhelming!

I signed up on the WDW resort page, and am having a DVD shipped. When or how would I know if I get a PIN and if I do, can you use it with AAA? Can they apply it, even if I don't get the AAA rate ( I know you can't stack, bummer). My agent said they normally don't do FD during Christmas b/c it's a peak time. I think she's mistaken, but FD would really help!!!

If you are booking through AAA they can apply your discount and you can apply without the AAA. There is no FD during Christmas so they are not mistaken. But as long as you check in on the last day of FD you have it through your entire stay. I believe that last year the last day for FD was on the 11th of Dec. And then no more until after Christmas. There trying not to have FD to close to Christmas so that everyone will pay full price. I went one year from the 27th of Dec to the 8th of Jan and it was very busy. We always go the first 2 weeks of Dec so that we miss most of the crowds.

Unfortunately a Pin may not do you much good either. The recent free dining pin that some of us have received is blacked out during Pop Warner. If they send out Pins for room discounts I would have to think they'd block out Pop Warner week on them as well.

But here's hoping for the best for you.

I received the initial email but haven't received the OOPS email yet. I called and was told by the CM there is nothing she can do until I get the pin!

Try again if you actually have the email.. tell them you have the email in front of you. A CM last night wanted me to fax a copy of it over to them to verify... you could do that

We are staying at the new Art of Animation Resort in a Little Mermaid themed room. I'm a little worried about placing my ADRs in a few days I've heard others are having problems because of Candlelight Processional in Epcot. I've only been to Disney once and it was in April about 6 years ago, so I'm a little worried about going during all of the special events.
Does anyone know if the Candlelight Processional with a dinner reservation costs more? Or is it just a reservation with a view during the Processional?

We only checked POR, WL and BC. All were available.

Thank you for hoping! I have hopes for a PIN regardless of blackout dates because I got one in 2010 when we went over the 4th of July and we got free dining over our whole trip including July 4th. So I will be waiting.....

I had several pin codes, my husband, too. But unfortunately they do not coincide with our dates. I would have to check in before December 13th to get the free dining but we aren't going until the 23rd.

Still hoping they come up with a better deal for our dates than the 30% they offered.

I can't wait for this trip!

We're staying at CBR this time around. As far as ADR's go, we haven't even talked about what parks to do on what days. Once we have decided that, we can then work our ADRs around it.

Our next step in our Disney trip opens up on Monday. Southwest opens up the rest of the year so I can finally price out our dates!

You're right. The CP packages arent available until later in the summer, but that means WDW holds back the reservations for Epcot restaurants until they decide how many packages will be available versus regular ADRs. So for us making ADRs now it is very difficult/impossible to get some of those restaurants until they open them up.

Both my DH & I just received a PIN for FD in Dec. We check in on Nov. 29th to Dec. 13th!! We are staying at AOA in the Mermaid room!! I am so excited. This is the first time we booked so quickly. Usually we wait until August!

We also rec'd a free dining pin via email today for December. We already knew about it though b/c I called last week about our reservation and was told I had FD against my name.

I haven't had any problems as of yet. Our 180 day mark is not until tomorrow so I can't even look yet. I have seen on other threads where there are no spots open in World Showcase restaurants because of the CP. Hoping this isn't the case for us. My parents are planning to do a Le Cellier dinner date since it is one of the only restaurants that still exists from their honeymoon 25 years ago.

We have a group of 11 total, so will probably split up a bit for dinner but does anyone have any great recommendations? We have the DDP, but are also traveling with little ones, although not too terribly picky. I personally have only been to Disney once almost 10 years ago and do not remember any of the places we ate.
