December 2011 Code Watch!

Hi all,

Haven't seen any codes for past October 10. We recently went on a 10 day trip and stayed at WDL back in October. We did have a bounce-back offer but it's expired. At the time we booked that trip we got a 40% off pin via email. I'm hoping there may be something attached to our name so I am going to call and see. If I can get 40% off or free dining we will def. go. Looking to go for about 5 or 6 days this time around.

I followed the same steps I did the first time to get the pin, setup a vacation itinerary and saved it, requested a free vacation DVD, and requested customized maps. So we'll see.

Just one question I booked with AAA last time, and I actually let the guy know of the 40% discount, he simply called it in for me. I wasn't pleased with their service and did not think the perks were all that great. I actually knew a lot more than this so-called "Disney Expert" I'm thinking of booking myself this time around, or are there any other options I should look at for booking?

If I book myself I see Disney requires a $200 down payment, when is the remaining balance due, or does it follow the same schedule as AAA had which was 65 days before check-in the balance was due?

Thanks!

I'm talking about general public offerings. PIN Codes really aren't on my radar screen at all since I'm official president of the "NO PIN" club.

Heck, I'll even take the geneal public discounts.

booking?

IIRC, when we did it back in 2006 the remaining payment was due 45 days prior to our October trip.

We're going through a travel agency this time around b/c of a bowling vacation league we were in. We each earned $375 in credits so that is going towards our stay (as well as our Disney Visa Reward points that we have earned to date). The rest, as they say, is OOP for us.

When I last did it in 2009 it was 45 days prior also. I'm wanting to go Nov 29-Dec 3 this year so I'm hoping for the free dining to come out in early July as it did in 2009. I'm getting nervous, though, because I'm already less than 6 months out and I have ADRs I want to make. I think I'll call disney tonight and ask if I have a PIN. I never usually do but hey, it doesnt hurt to ask. I think I got one by email once on a year I wasnt going in a month there was no way I could go. Go Figure! :headache:

I wanted to join the "No Pin" club but i could not even get a pin to get into that. :confused3

I have over 99+ visits and have never received a PIN in my name. I took and paid for my sister and her family 5 years ago. I get PINS in her name to my email address. Disney says they can't fix it. I have tried two and three more email addresses, have an AP and never have ever gotten a PIN.
I can be in the NO PIN Club as the "Club Accountant"..

:welcome: to our club oh great CLUB ACCOUNTANT!

The only pin I recieved was when I had an annual pass, and it was after a terrible thing happened in our country 9/11/2001! People were afraid to travel!! I was able to book a courtyard room at WL for $139.00!! And got an upgrade to Concierge when I got there!!!! I have only been 25 times, but can I join the club!! Waiting for Dec.3-10 discounts!!:santa:

Yes, I thank you for the thread.
We're hoping for the same week at the Poly and then heading for a Disney Cruise. Hoping for a discount to add to the reservation...once a discount comes out for that time.

I have looked, haven't found an actual thread for those of us hoping, wishing, praying for an awesome offer for December 2011!
So, I have made us one!
So, who is joining my family at Disney World December 2011?
We are planning on going December 9-16, 2011. Staying at Port Orleans Riverside. It will be Dana (me), Jon (my DH), Aaron (my DS who will be 15), Christopher (my DS who will be 13), Noah (my DS who will be 10) & Landon (DS who will be 2). Super excited already!!!! Love the planning so this is great for me! This will be the boy's Christmas for 2011, even if it is a bit earlier. They won't know until the week before, just got to figure out how to tell them, but I've got over a year to figure it out, lol.

Hoping for Free Dining!!! Or at least a 40% discount pin!

Me too!
When I was at AAA today, my travel agent called Disney and was told one way to get a pin is to go on their site and book a trip, but not pay for it....I think I've read that same thing on the boards.

Im a card carrying member of the no pin club.

I think cancelling a reservation also works wonders. A couple of years ago I had a big WDW trip planned for August. I couldn't convince my dh to go in the heat, so we cancelled and went to Hawaii instead. Since then, I've received more from Disney than before.

I think when you visit 99+ the know you are a loyal customer, no need for discounts. I think the pins are to attract more casual disney travelers. imho

I've only been twice as an adult (three other times in my childhood).... isn't that casual enough?! C'mon PIN! Can I join the club? :)

I wish Disney offered a loyalty program like most cruise lines, etc. I think they are missing a very good opportunity there.

I got a pin today for OKW and SS for now through mid-August...too bad I've been running this year's searches to get a ballpark price estimate for NEXT year at the Values. :surfweb:

I'm looking to join the no PIN support group. I'm assuming this is where the sign up line is. Oy.

Seriously, trip in December is make or break on a PIN code. I'm not sayin' I'm just sayin'

Hey guys we just called Disney earlier to (tentatively) book our Dec vacation. I of course asked for a PIN (we will cancel if we don't receive some kind of discount before the 45 day mark as Disney is starting to get a bit steep with prices as compared to previous years)...

The agent actually told me she won't even bother checking since she knows I won;t have any for my dates of travel as Disney has not sent out any PINS yet for Dec. Just wanted to share that little tidbit with the rest of us hoping/praying/wishing/begging to get some good news in our mail/e-mail. I hope she's right...we really could use some help...Good luck all!!
