December 2011 Code Watch!

I CAN"T STAND IT!!! Does anyone think they will extend a free dining offer for early December???? I am trying to HOLD OUT!!! Seriously, this is the first time I haven't planned really early for out our annual trip. We've always taken advantage of the "Hurricainne Season" offers but can't go that early this year. REALLY looking forward to holiday season if we can. Has anyone heard any rumors????

I am waiting too! hoping and praying!:rotfl:

I did go ahead and book so I could make some sit down ressies on my 180 day (June 19th :cool1::woohoo::yay::dance3:)

Here is the historical data website that shows each year since '08 as to when they released each promo.
http://www.mousesavers.com/historicalwdwdiscounts.html#codechart
Last year was 7/6/10, and the year before was 7/24/09 for Visa card holders and 7/27/09 to the public, in '08 it was 9/18 so every year it gets earlier and earlier so hopefully we will be seing one soon!!!

:tinker:Here is some pixie dust for all my December DISboard friends for a free dining pin!

My advice...book. ADR windows are opening now and IF free dining is offered many restaurants will be filling up fast.

This was my thinking too. I had held out but with the 180 ADR window looming, I decided to go ahead & book our package. That way, I have our ressie done & all my ADRs are set except for waiting on CP packages to be released. We're booked at ASMu in a Family Suite for Dec. 10-18. It became much more real to me after getting those both done. Now, to just hope for a discount/offer to come around!

Joining in the watch! Booked tday for Dec 17-23 @ CSR

You and I are in the same boat! We've always gone in late September and have become quite spoiled by free dining and the cheaper season costs. I was in sticker shock when I saw the price of our trip in December. My husband and I have been talking this over for a couple of days trying to decide what to do. We may just book it and if no good offers come out cancel the trip. I just hate to wait and miss out on dining reservations.

Military rates have come out for the rest of the year and on into 2010, got a great rate at Pop for our first 4 nights, then we move over to SoG for the last 3 nights.

From your mouth to Mickeys ears!!!! I am having withdrawal symptoms due to not having my Dec. trip booked. It comes down to no free dining in Dec.=no trip to WDW this year. Just can't swing it.:sad1:
Come on FD in Dec!!!:goodvibes:wizard:
My feelings exactly! We will not be going if they don't come up with some good offers. I did convince my husband that we need to go ahead and book the trip so we can get all our reservations made and if we need to cancel, we will. Booked everything last night, got all my ADRs I wanted---SO EXCITED! Now if I could only figure out how to get a cute ticker like everyone else!

You are brave! If booked a trip there I could not bring myself to cancel it. :lmao:

I decided to behave myself this year because the "deals" have been so sketchy otherwise my trip would be booked the second the window opened. I am keeping my fingers crossed, but I am starting to think it is just not in the cards this year.

The tickers you can get online there are many sites. Find one you like and you can see where it from (usually small print on the ticker) go to the site and follow the directions.

Congrats on your ADR's!!!!

I found the ticker sites but when I tried to post the code in my "signature" box and preview it, it didn't show my ticker it only showed the code. Do you know which format this site accepts?

Good luck on the deal you are looking for. I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us!

From what I remember the "ticker" does not show, just the code but it does show up in your sig here on the Dis. I think it is the HTML? format someone here will know for sure.
Keeping my fingers crossed too!

Holy airfare! I've been waiting for discounts - we're not going without free dining - so I thought I'd check on airfare while I wait. We've paid about $200 round trip per person in the past in early February. For the same flight in early December, it's almost double. If we go in December we may do a midweek to midweek trip. That's the only way I can get the same prices. We can also get a lot more use out of Southwest's new point system rewards.

I've been to Disney many times over my lifetime but never in December. We're planning a Xmas stay (12/22 - 12/28). Am I fool to hold out hope for a promo during that time period? :santa:

I don't have a "real" answer but I say it's always okay to hope. I'm hoping for early December! :goodvibes

Last year, the promos lead up to Dec 21, if I remember correctly, but some of them, if you check in on the last day of the promo, you can get it for the entire stay. I did that with free dining, we were to check in on Dec 21, the last day, but we got free dining for the entire trip (unfortunately, we had to cancel and lost the special, but still got to go for a couple of days bare bones).

I hear ya! We usually pay around $200pp rt... not this time. I am going to be lucky to get $350 pp rt.. if not WAY more. I really hope prices come down!

So we booked our Disney Dream 3 day cruise and want to do a pre at the Polynesian. Guess we'll go ahead and put the deposit down through Dreams Unlimited as we got the quote for the Poly.
Now we just sit and hope for a code or Disney Deal!

We are hoping for free dining!! Making all of the reservations is kind of a pain, but I do like the ease of ordering whatever & just leaving a tip.
Dec. 1-8th at Animal Kingdom Lodge - 1st time ever. Try to stay somewhere new everytime.

I think I'm gonna stick with the room discount I used and not even worry about hoping for free dining. In the end I come out about the same paying for meals OOP.

I'm just incredibly happy :thumbsup2to have resort AND flights that allow us to spend our first christmas in WDW given all the restrictions we have as a family with DS's tight grad school schedule! I'll keep glued to the web and to the TV for a potential discounts though, cause everything is surely more exensive than our usual June/July World visits :headache:
