Ugghh, I've ordered maps (got them today), saved some vacation quotes, updated my profile, and still nothing. Guess I'll go ahead and book our surprise trip! Have most of yall who have gotten a pin already booked a trip? Just wondering?? Even if we don't get one, we'll still be going, very excited we told our 3 kids we couldn't go this year, I've planned a scavenger hunt where they will find a puzzle piece then have to put it together for the secret message, "We're going to disney!". A code will make it that much sweeter (just saying!)

This is also a surprise trip for my kids ! Not sure how we are gonna tell them yet! Also not sure how I will keep it from them!

I'm am dying to tell them, but will keep my mouth shut! We surprised them a couple of years ago, we checked them out of school early and we had tickets to the Pirate and Princess Party so we gave them those and oldest (who is 7th grade now) thought we had given him credit cards!! It took them about 5 minutes to figure it out!! We got it all on video, we love to watch it and laugh at how clueless they were! Were planning on going the 18th thur the 23rd and do MVMCP on the 18th. The last time we went at Christmas time was in 2004 (youngest ds was 6 months). I remember it being busy (went at the begining of the month so they were taping the Christmas day parade, Myriah Carey was singing that day). I was just wondering how much busier will it be this time of December, I have a feeling it will be quite busy, but were use to going during spring break, will it be like that or worse??

Yes it will be busy but well worth it. Christmas is my most favorite time to go! HAVE FUN!

Why do I always get the CMs who will tell you absolutely no FD is coming or the one who won't even hint at a GP offer forthcoming, lol.
I called today to see if anything was attached to mine or my DH's name. Told her a friend of mine, hey, we're all friends here so it's true, got a emailed pin for FQSD for December. She looked, told me nothing was attached & then, pins are totally random & have a nice day.

I just want some kind of hope darnit!!!

Hearing about other's pins for some kind of FD gives me hope but still, I'd love extra!

Some people are getting various pins but nope, nothing GP yet. It's getting frustrating even though I know it is early yet & could be mid-August if anything comes. I hate this waiting game.

I got one of the goofiest PIN's ever. We are looking into going in December and my PIN was a 19% discount, which upon calling was "free water park option". Yeah, not in December...TBNT!

There are some weird pin codes out there....
BTW what is the average temp in December??? We've been in Nov. and I thought it was too cool to swim then...does the temp drop a lot more in Dec???

Average temps won't help you. It is possible to be hot, and it is possible to be BELOW freezing. Just prepare for all possibilities and you'll be fine.

We pack a little of everything, lol. From jeans & long sleeve shirts, to hoodies, to shorts, to tees, swimsuits, etc. You jut never know in FL in December.

Last year we were there for a week in early Dec. the kids literally went swimming for 15 mins the second day, and a big huge storm cloud moved in it started to poor and it got so cold that by the time we got back up to our room, we could see our breath. (the video is hilarious) The rest of the week were were in winter coats, hats and gloves it was 19 degrees one night in Epcot. In some parts of Fla they had to close schools because they do not have heat. It was crazy. We still had a great trip.

I ordered maps on Monday or Tuesday. Then FINALLY got into my Disney profile and made sure our trip and ADR's were logged into the system. We're also thinking of switching resorts and saved a couple of options, including our current plans.

Today...I got an email with a PIN for one of the resorts I saved a deal for. I've got to get my son into the bath and to bed and then will call Disney to find out what if anything the deal is.

Ah...Florida in December. We have also had trips where one day it was sunny and 80 and the next day so cold we decided to go back to our room! One MVMCP was BITTERLY cold, which was o.k. because the snow seemed more real.. My kids will brave pretty much any temp to get in the pools that are heated though.

We also pack a little bit of everything and I will never forget gloves ever again. One year, we were wearing sweatshirts and my hands were freezing but temp wise it wasn't bad with just the sweatshirt. I always carry them with me now though. We had a front move in with some seriously heavy rain and the temp dropped 20 degrees in an hour.

With that said...I love love love Disney in December no matter how cold.
