I am helping a friend plan her visit. She was thinking about visiting December 3rd and 4th of 2009.

I told her I would ask and see what you all thought.

I know The Candelight Processional will be happening sometime. I just don't remember when that typically happens.

Also I know they have a Cast Member party and I wasn't sure when that happened either.

I also know you are the ones to ask about all things Disneyland.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

The CP generally happens on the first full weekend of December. So in '08 it happened on the 5th and 6th, but in '07 it was a later weekend due to the timing of the weekend.

And both times the CM parties were the Mon and Tues after, if I recall correctly. Or maybe it's the first MOn and Tues of the month. Not totally sure on that one, hmm. Someone else will know that though. :)

And FWIW we went Dec 5th through...3 or 5 days the last two years and it was great. In '07 it was better crowd-wise b/c it wasn't near the CP, but since we were NOT taking part in CP and avoided those areas, this year wasn't awful either (we didn't enter the parks on the 5th, but were there for the 6-8th).

We visited in 2007 and I remember we hit CP crowds on our last day which was a Friday. I was thinking it was the first Friday in December.

I tried to do a search but as cute as that dog is he is useless.

I did a Google search and it looks like it is typically the first weekend in December. It also looks like the CM party is the next Monday and Tuesday follwing the CP.

So she may hit crowds on that Friday.

I was thinking about recommending the 10th and the 11th. She took 2 weeks off so she can really have her pick of weekends.

I know the closer it gets to Christmas the more crowded it gets. She will be buying Parkhooppers this time though. I think if she hops like she should and does the Fastpasses the right way she will be fine.

She wants to stay at the Hojo. I gave her the in house reservation number already.

She wants us to come but unless we win the lottery we just can't go.

I think those will be good dates!! Less crowded for sure. :) I hope she has fun!!

The 10 & 11th may be a bit busier, as it gets closer to Christmas it does get busier. I hope you win the lotto so you can go too! :)
