Brian and I are officially booked for Dec 8th! We're having a 5pm ceremony at the Wedding Pavilion and a 7pm reception in the Napa Room at California Grill. Since my last post on this thread we switched from Escape to Wishes since we realized we're going to meet our minimum regardless. We're super-excited and can't wait for our planning session in less than seven weeks!
:cool1:

We've actually switched from Wishes to DCL. Our ceremony will be December 8th on Castaway Cay! :goodvibes

Hello date twins! I'm 12/8 at Sea Breeze Point! :cool1:

Hi December Brides! I was an '08 December bride and just wanted to say "Congratulations!" and wish you all lots of luck and tons of fun over the next six months!! It all goes by so fast! Seems like a lot of you are early december brides (whoo-hoo) so as you'll be having your gorgeous weddings, I'll be there celebrating my first anniversary! :goodvibes

December in Disney is just awesome (as we all obviously know) - so as I said, ENJOY this wonderful, exciting, stressful, and nerve-wracking time b/c it is SOOOOO worth it!! Maybe I'll see some of you in December! :flower3:

6 months!! EEK!! I started planning with over 19 months to go!!! now it seems to be just around the corner!

We're arriving on the 5th and staying until the 10th, then we sail for the VR.

Seems that i have lots of weddings to stalk on the 8th! :rotfl: Alex, Andrea, and BeatlesBlonde are all on the 8th right??

And PinkCow and I are going to pass the DCL wedding baton in the embarkation lobby! :woohoo:

Yep, noon @ SBP! We arrive on the 5th and go home on the 15th, I can stalk a lot of weddings while I'm there :rotfl:

You're in luck! The 8th is our "resting" day before MVMCP so i'll be free to stalk away all day long! Well, except for my Epcot shoot in the morning! At least i will look pretty! :rotfl:

Hi everyone! I thought I'd chime in to say that I will be having my wedding on December 11! :cool1: I'm so excited for all of us!! I just booked my date recently, so I haven't had time to prepare like all you December brides!! So, I'm finding this site EXTREMELY helpful!! Also, just a newbie here for the past 3 months or so. Just curious, when is a good time for the MK photoshoot in December?? I don't want to do it the day after the wedding because I'll probably be too tired to wake up so early in the morning. Any ideas??? Also, how early will you have to get up for this? I hear some people getting dressed and being there by 5am...anyone know when sunrise is?? I'd love to have pics when it's dark as well as when it's light to have both effects. Also, I hear that the castle is decorated with lights for the winter months--what do you think about this?? Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

Hi Flowerbelle! Welcome to the December brides group! :santa:

So, what's the plan with your wedding . . . we'll still be at WDW and may have to stalk :cool2:

We're having our wedding on the 8th (5pm Wedding Pavilion / California Grill to follow). Regarding Magic Kingdom photos, we're doing ours the day after the day after our wedding - the 10th at 5:30 am! I couldn't imagine getting up to do them on the morning of the 9th - yikes!

I think we'll time it perfectly to have a few shots in the dark and a few shots at dawn.

Here's a sunrise calendar for Dec 2009:

I've heard that they normally turn the icicle lights off for the bridal portraits and just light the castle normally. I think there was one couple that had their photos done with the icicle lights on because they were testing them or something - but that's pretty unusual.

Alrighty, I suppose it's time for me to stop lurking around here. Just had to pipe up and say I'm down for a December 3rd SBP wedding...woohoo! :woohoo:

I have to say, I'm pretty stoked about the holiday aspect of Disney in December. I've never seen it all decked out for the holidays before, so this is going to be extra exciting...especially since my birthday will be just three weeks after the wedding. Talk about a packed month!

Congrats to all you other soon-to-be brides out there- what an exciting time we have ahead of us!

Thanks for your gracious welcome Andrea! :goodvibes BTW, I've been so impressed with what you've done so far for your wedding!! :worship: You are amazing with your skills and creativity as I have seen some of the work you've done so far...and your newsletter is UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! Anyhow, I'm having my ceremony at the WP at 10a and a reception at the GF and then a dessert party later that evening. I think I'll probably be around for your wedding day too, so I might partake in the stalking as well. ;) Thanks so much for the sunrise calendar!! I'll have to print it up. I'm surprised that they don't let you take pictures with the icicles on and off...they should!! Maybe if ALL the December brides band together on this one, so that it can be done!!! :grouphug: BTW, who are you choosing to do your photography, video, and makeup?? Oh...and I wanted to mention that the Kristie Kelly dresses you bought on Ebay are BEEEAAAAUUUTTTTIIFFUULLLL!!!! Great job on getting such a bargain!!! (Even more of a reason for me to stalk you now! ) Are you planning on wearing two dresses then? Because I'm planning to do it...not sure what exactly how I'm gonna do it yet though, but I'm excited!!! :cool1:

Yay!:woohoo: Congrats to all of the brides and welcome newcomers! I know I'm biased, but I think December is the best month to get married at Disney...the decorations are just SO beautiful!!

So when is everyone doing their theme park photo shoots? Our MK photo shoot is Dec. 23 at 5 am :scared1: That's a scary time, but I'm super excited for it!
