Christina, you're at 101 days out!!!!!!
My planning is going well. This is where we are right now . . .
Got our estimated budgets from both DFTW and Floral. With the people who have confirmed so far, we are in the neighborhood of $40 above our minimums for California Grill and DFTW. I don't "necessarily" expect it to stay that way . . . and we're monitoring the budget closely each week. So far, everthing is right in line.
The big things that are keeping me busy now are all the do-it-yourself projects that I have lined up. The supplies for each project are in small plastic bins in my living room. There are bins for:
- Formal invitations
- Ceremony programs
- Wedding day brunch (invitations and favors)
- Sparkle shirts
- Pre-arrival packages for guests
- Menu cards and place cards for reception
I've also got emails going out to our guests every few weeks about different topics: accommodations, dining, activities, holiday happenings, fun stuff to do outside of the theme parks, etc.
I've got about another month or so of attempting to get into shape before taking my gown for alterations. It stops zipping about a half inch from the top, but otherwise fits well. I've added about $500 into the budget for alterations. Wish me luck!!!
I think my biggest "worry" is not breaching some major rule of etiquette. It's just so weird when you have a destination wedding. You're not supposed to send out invitations too early, but you need to make dining reservations 90 days in advance . . . and "who" to send invitations to. I'm so afraid that if I DON'T send an invitation to someone, they're going to think I didn't want them there. Or if I DO send them an invitation, they're going to think I'm fishing for gifts . . . But I think I've got a decent list that's under control. I mean, we pretty much know who's coming already. Many of our guests made their reservations several weeks ago when the good "free dining" deals came out and airfares dropped.
So , relatively no drama so far! I hope everyone else is doing well also!
