December 2009 - Anyone as crazy as me and already booked???

A little bit of a background...

We were scheduled to go in Oct. of this year but due to job relocation that had to be scratched.

So instead we're using our deposit for the original trip and going next December. OK, I know we'll go before that, but I wanted to get exactly what I wanted and book early. So we're taking my parents & DS. Staying at BWI CL (first ever CL stay!) w/ park hoppers and DDP. My parents have no idea and we will surprise them next week with a save the date card I made using a photo of BWI. I'm too excited because my mom has never been and my father was there for a day (IMO that doesn't count).

So who's with me. Who's already signed up for Dec 2009??

Oh, you're not the only crazy out there! I booked our Dec.2009 trip a few days ago! My first trip to DW in 30 years, and my little girls first ever. I'm ready to start packing! It's going to be such a long trip from Vancouver, but hopefully worth the distance. By the way, any suggestions about Dec. in DW would be a great help!

Well...we decided today we are going in Dec. of 09. This will be the first december trip for us. A little nervous about the weather but very excited if there will be xmas decorations up.

I went ahead and booked for August '09! Don't know if I can wait a whole year, but at least the plans are now in the works. This will be our first on-site stay. Woohoooo!

Just today I booked our July 2009 trip but we are planning to go again in December 2009...so as soon as we decide our dates/resort I will book that.....so you're not the only crazy one . It's good to plan ahead since Christmas time is very busy.....it insures that you get what you want .

Where are you staying?

We're staying at the Boardwalk Inn - Club Level room. Never stayed CL and I'm so excited! The weather also makes me a little nervous since so many people say it can be hit or miss, but I'm originally from IN and I think I'll be able to handle 60's and 70's just fine in Dec. I joked with DH and said knowing our luck when we're there next December it's going to be nice and hot!

You will not be disappointed. We stayed off-site in 2006 and regretted it. Never again for us.

You are so brave for booking a trip in July. It is just way too hot and humid for me then. I have to live in the A/C during the summer because of health problems. It would take a lot to convince me to go to WDW in the middle of the summer.

Nope you're not crazy! I booked Dec 2009 about 3 wks ago! (Exactly 499 days in advance to be precise!) DH thought I was insane! haha But for me, half the fun is in the planning! I've been to Disney several times since I used to live in Florida but the last time I was there was 2009. This will be DH's first time EVER to Disney World and of course the first time for my girls as well. We'll be staying at the Polynesian...my first ever time staying onsite! woohoo! I can't wait!

Hvae you started planning your meals, etc yet? Are you doing the dining plan? Details, details please!

Even crazier -I live in Orlando, only 20 minutes away from Disney, and I already go all the time! But this is the first time in a long time I'll be staying on property like a "real" tourist!

Now, anyone want to tell me why I can't get my ticker to work?

Us too! We booked our Disneymoon on 8/5...11 nights AKL CL, starting 12/2/09!!

So what are everyone's Dates in December 2009? We are planning on 12/2-12/9 at Poly however I may need to change it to Dec 8-15th instead. Which means...one MORE agonizing week longer to wait!

Booked Aug. 2nd for December 5-12 2009. Going with my parents who have never been! Staying at Family Suite at ASMu. Can't wait- good thing we have 2 other trips planned between now and then to hold us over!

Is it just me or does it seem like the first week in Dec is going to be BUSY? Maybe it's just us Dis-ers or something?

There is rumor that Space Moutain will be closed most of 2009....wonder if it'll be up and running by Dec!
