It depends what category of resort you choose. There is no set discount amount for Disney. Now, AAA is 20% for Value, Moderate, and DVC and 15% for Deluxe. I have so far for 2 Decembers found this to be the best discount available. If you don't have AAA, any discount is a great discount.

All I can tell you is that I got a Courtyard room at WL last August for $160/night, but I know it isn't that good of a discount in December. We stayed at CR in December in the Tower with an MK View and AAA saved me at least $75 more than the AP/FL/General discount. We stayed in AKL standard room with an AP rate was $236.25/night and that included an extra adult at an additional $25/night.

Ok so I called AAA for a quote and priced both value and moderate.
How do I know if it is a good deal or not??? Went for 5 nights, 5 day ph, and dining option.

We stayed at POFQ last time and I loved it (even though the pool was closed)
and I like to try new places. As far as looking at the values- i am one of those people who thinks a good bed is enough. We dont spend nearly enough time in the room ( since we dont have kids yet) therefore I would spend the money elsewhere than on an expensive room!
I am leary of a value because although I love kids ( I am a fulltime nanny) and I would like a little bit of a break!

I haven't had any luck getting a rate better than AAA for December. MY AP discount wasn't as much as my AAA discount was in Dec 2007.

I just booked Grand Gathering for 12/1-12/5 - 4 nights at CSR. I used AAA and got 15% off. I booked through WDW. Do you get the same discount or better if I called AAA myself? I couldn't get a discount if I booked room and tickets thru WDW. Also, can AAA give 15% with room/tickets? Really new at this. Thanks
