December 2008 Code Watch

It isn't a code- it is a pin number and can only be used by the person who received it (nontransferrable) Sorry!

Sorry for misstating and calling the PIN number a code. :guilty: I almost wrote that I wished it was transferable so that I could pass it along to someone else. My apologies!

No problem.... I am on the phone right now to see if I have a PIN # attached to my name... fingers crossed!!!

FOR THE LOVE A GOD WHAT DO I NEED TO DO FOR A PIN CODE? This is our 3 rd trip in 3 years at this point I wondering if they figure we will come anyway! I even signed my husband up for a DVD and it sent to are po box; he did get an email asking what month we were interested in and a down loadable snow globe :confused3. I have asked everytime I have called and nothing! Are they just trying to drive me nuts or what!:lmao:

Subscribing. Staying 12/23-1/2. Half the time at GF and half the time on DVC points. Hoping for a code for the GF stay...I guess you can always dream!

Here's a novel concept...what if Disney just plain admitted that they overprice their "rack rates" such that they can "discount" rooms to some! What they really are doing is using one families vacation to subsidize another family's. Now, I will cop to being a Disney stockholder, and obviously like to see a healthy bottom line BUT the same could be accomplished by dropping rates a smaller amount across the board. A 10% rate reduction from everyone seems a lot better from a "good will" perspective than the seemingly random gifting of a large discount to one, while sticking the other with the bill.

Just my .2cents

They may have to start discounting something for people. It's getting harder and harder to come up with money to vacation there. I LOVE disney and I am there at least 4 times a year, but the economy will not keep up with the high prices of vacationing at WDW. Most us "regular" people are having a hard enough time putting gas in our tanks, much less other stuff and trying to stay employed. I foresee issues arrising with people taking less vacations and staying at the more "value" type resorts, even if that means staying off property.
FL res use to be able to get 69 a night at the Value resorts.
Oh Well.

Has anyone every gotten a AAA or AP rate during the week of Christmas or is this unheard of??

This may have been answered before but I haven't found it so sorry if I'm repeating a question. We have a 30% off coupon that ends on Dec 13th. Our trip dates can't be moved but are to run from Dec. 13th through Dec 19th. Will the CRO extend the 30% off rate for the whole trip or only for the first day? Thanks.

I called again tonight and they said that there wasn't a code attached to my name. I am wondering if there is one attached to my MIL's name. If I call and check would they let me use the code if she's not coming with us? Also, my mom has NEVER been to DW and is going for the 1st time with us in December. I ordered a video in her name and am hoping that generates a code.

Only the first day... it used to work the other way but so many people were coming in the last day of disocunts/value season and staying all through Christmas on the reduced price that they stopped it this year :sad2:

If she is coming with than you can use the code (ressies must be linked together etc.) If she is not coming, then you can't use it.

posting for some info on a possible code for AKL...12/6-12/12 we are pretty flexible, but haven't had any luck w/ a code yet.;)

The last night for the AAA discount is 12/18/2008, and so will an AP rate, possibly. We are going Dec 13-21 and all but 2 nights are discounted, but some of a discount is better than none at all. I saved $250 on an 8 night vacation. AAA rates seem to be better at that time of year as well, at least they have been for us for the last 2 years.

Aloha,
I will be staying at Disney's Polynesian Resort from December 11th to December 19th 2008. I am hoping that they will have a 'room-only- discount!

We are thinking of staying at the GF Nov 30th-Dec 6th! Nothing is definite yet, but I hope we can make it work!! So, there is a AAA discount available for that time period?

Seems like we'll just miss Thanksgiving and Pop Warner, right? Sounds like a good week, no?

We are going to Disney from 12/09/08 - 12/20/2008. I have never received a coupon in the mail and am wondering how that works. I also wanted to know do they ever offer discounts for the general public for December?
