December 2008 - Can it come any sooner?!

I just set up ME for our trip home...

Still need to book our Driver to/from the airports up here. Need to reserve a rental car if I can find one I can afford (I can't keep stealing my parent's car to spend entire days/nights at disney)

3 weeks from today for us! I am all packed, all that is left to do is figure out which family member is lucky enough to bring us to the airport at 5:30 am, , and to pickup some last minute stuff for the camera!

This will prob. be our last yr going the first week of Dec. We have gone the last 5 yrs and the first 3 were perfect. Then with the pop warner and other things going on it started to become more crowded.

I usually plan around that time too. However, now I have moved my trip back to the 3rd week. It has become to crowded. We are arriving the 12th and leaving the 16th.

You're all packed!!!??? I'm SO jealous! I've been planning this trip for over a year, and now that it's almost here, I feel like I don't know what to do next

Guess I need to start sorting out some of the kids summery things and getting some things together. Also kind of need to make more of a touring plan.

I've had which days we're going to be in which parks done since I made our ADR's, but I think mostly for MK and AK we should have a general idea as to the order we should try and do things so we're not backtracking a lot???

If anyone's good with planning that kind of thing, I'd LOVE your help!

We're leaving three weeks from today!! I'm not packed at all. I really want to, but I'll wear most of the clothes I'm packing before our trip. Guess I could pack DS's case (who could wear new outfits every day for two months without doing laundry ). I'm so ready to be on vacation!!!

We will just miss you. We arrive 12/6 and leave on the 13th. I wanted to change the reservation to the 13th-20th but with the parade tickets and dinner reservations it wasn't worth trying to do.

Packing for us wasn't hard, this trip is just DH and I, so that helped a great deal. Also we live in Chicago, so we aren't using any of our warm weather clothes right now, and we both had enough weekend/play cold weather clothes that we could pack some of those as well. I tried to prepare us for every possible weather condition that could come along, so I have us covered from sunblock to rain ponchos to gloves. I travel often for my job so I even have an "emergency kit" that I take everywhere I go. It has all kinds of over the counter medicine, aspirin, sleep aids, Dramamine, first aid items, sewing kit, stain stick, wet ones, Icee hot patches, cold compress and blister band aids. I've learned from too many business trips that if you don't have access to a car then you have to pay the outrageous prices in hotel gift shops for emergency items. Better safe than sorry.

We have a LGMH on our backpack so if you see us in the parks, make sure to say Hi, . DH says that fellow Disers are like the Toothfairy, everybody knows about them, but he hasn't actually seen one yet!

We are at 16 days!!! I started this countdown at 11 months so this is super close ... and it's getting scary now; I feel like I have a thousand things to take care of before we can go. I started packing my daughter's summer clothes and half the stuff doesn't fit her anymore! I haven't even started on mine or my son's yet (the hubby will do his at the last minute of course!) And I want to get most of my Christmas shopping taken care of since I'm sure nothing will be available when we get back on the 15th.
