December 2007 Code Watch

I'm new here and we're planning a trip from 12/7 - 12/12. I'm waiting on a quote from AAA for this and am hoping for a code so that we can afford to upgrade from the Value Resorts to a Moderate or maybe (long shot) a Deluxe.

hogue_97, welcome to the Boards. We are booked in from December 9th thru the 19th at $49 a nite. That particular deal is over now but one never knows what come up later in the year.

Keep hanging around with us and you cannot go wrong.

Hope to see you in the parks in December.:)

Where are you staying for $49 per night, and how did you get this rate?

We went ahead and booked Port Orleans Riverside for Dec. 9-15 with AAA. The TA said if we found another discount she could give us that price, but it is either one or the other. AAA was $200 cheaper than booking with Disney online.

I am staying at ASM 15th-29th december.I booked through dreams unlimited for room only. Will they apply any codes for me that come up?I have decided to get an AP for the extra discounts

Yes, be sure your DU agent knows that you have an annual pass. they will automatically check when any new general-public or annual pass codes are released for your dates. if available, they will change your rate for you.

That is what we are planning. Hoping for WL 12/2 - 12/7. Right now we have a rack rate reservation, but I told DU that we will buy an AP if we need it to get a discount.

waiting here too...does anyone know if the AP or Fl resident rate will be better than the AAA rate that is already out? I am looking at the AAA website and for the values they show $65 for a standard room, $116 for Mods and AKL $182 for STD. What is your opinions on this? I am thinking of booking through Disney using the AAA rate that way we will have a reservation and then we can hope for an additional discount? Thanks!

I've booked a Dec.18-25 vacation package at the Poly at rack rates. Will I get any kind of a discount today if I purchase an AP for me? I have already included tickets for all of us in the package.

Also is there a senior discount for AP?

We are going Dec. 6 - 10 with the Chicago Cubs. It's our 15th Anniversary and I can't wait. What can be better WDW, Anniversary, and the Cubbies.

This has to be booked exclusively thru AAAChicago so I hope we get a great deal.

I dont think that you can book the AAA rate through Disney. At least that was my understanding becasue when i called disney to check rates to compare to AAA they told me for the aaa rates you had to go directly through aaa

You can book directly thru Disney with AAA discount,
originally had WL at 229.50/nightbut have recently switched to CSR
at 128.00/night with 4 people in room with AAA discount.

I'm looking for 12/2 - 12/8. Will definitely buy an AP if an AP rate comes out because I have two more trips in the works for May and October '08.

Does anyone know how much an AP rate would discount a deluxe room in value season?

Room only reservations can be booked through disney with a aaa discount.

Package reservations with a aaa discount must be booked through aaa.

OK, so what am I missing here? Disney Destinations sent me a "special offer" e-mail that must be booked by May 11, but I don't see the discount. (BTW, this will be our 3rd trip, not first like it says). Here's an excerpt:

"A Dream Offer for the Taylor family!

We're so excited to hear you're thinking about taking your very first Walt Disney World® vacation! And since you may have already received your Disney Parks DVD, you're probably pretty excited about it, too. So go ahead and use the included offer and extra information to help with the planning. And we hope to see you real soon!

Since you're interested in coming in December, here's a great offer we picked out for you and your family. It's the best way to open a whole world of Disney dreams and possibilities.

Does anyone see the discount? It appears to be the regular rate for a room during value season. Why are they telling me to book by May 11, and why are they saying "Minimum length of stay requirements may apply" ? I don't see it :confused3
