December 2005 Info, Code, Dining, & Special Package Watch! :)

Well for me free dining would be a big help because one of our party, my sister-in-law, is paying for her ticket and dining plan and I know her budget is tight. Whereas free room wouldn't help cause we're paying for that cause it's not much to include her in our room rate.

But if the other post turns out to be correct... this is all a moot point anyway. :earboy2:

yeah, really it's probably not worth worrying about until they POST! For us, DH and I are paying for 5 adults on virtually nothing but Student Loans. We scraped money together for the dining already, but can only afford a really short trip, so I guess there are some of us hoping for everything!

Take a look over in the other thread, I did the math, based on the $440 figure - and someone else talking to a CM - my guess is that it isn't free dining, but roughly half-priced dining.

My family is going to POFQ 11-/30-12/7. Through the BRP we paid $94 a night. A grand total of $733.74 w/tax. :goodvibes

:wave2: I am going with my family from Dec 12-16th and we are at the PO-FQ. Can you tell me what "BRP" means? We used a AAA discount and the rate the AAA TA gave us was $118 a night there. hmmmmmmm I think our total is $845.14. :sad2:

should it be free dinning how would that work ... I'm already booked into WL for December with the Dinning plan ... so would my TA have to cancel my booking and rebook so I could get the free dinning??... However there are no Rooms available, so does that mean I can't get the free dinning plan :confused3

Found this in another thread here:

I think I know!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just got off the phone with a really nice CM at DD and I mentioned the excitment about the new possible discount coming out. She checked her email and she had one with a new offer coming. It is going to be $440 per adult for a 4 night stay in a standard Value room and this price would include a 5 day base ticket. Sounds like a great deal for someone.

alisa

Does this include dining? bbecause I just went to their website and put in 2 adults, 4 nights, early December at Pop, 5 day base tickets and the total was $816. So $440 each would not be a deal.

How about a "buy one get one free" deal? That would be good. Pay for tix & dining for 1 adult, get one free!

I'd love a buy X nights and get a couple free like a couple of years ago!

I think it was pay for 5 stay for 7 or something like that.

What would happen with BRP if this comes out to the "general public".

Fingers crossed for free dining!! :confused3

Me too!

What I find interesting is the way it's worded - "a special discounted Walt Disney World vacation package" . Not just discounted package - but "Special". Now the free dining had been called a "Special" offer. So who knows :confused3

I am SO addicted to this code/rates/discount watch from Mouseavers that I don't know what to do with myself!! I've already thought of some options just to torture myself - so I'm going to pass the torture along to the rest of you in the hope that it lessens my pain! Please note these are only brainstorms of mine - I have no news or leaks to share!

Free dining would rock like a rock star! Even DISCOUNTED dining would rock - like $10 per day per person :)

Free room upgrade? For me in POP that wouldn't make a difference, but for those of you in mod-and-up resorts could really make out nicely!

Free RESORT upgrade? Now THIS would tickle me. I'm staying at a value for the first time and I keep justifying it to myself that I'm a solo and I'm only going to sleep there, but I would just love to be surrounded by some beautiful scenery (POFQ - never stayed there but would LOVE to!)

I suppose they could throw in a MYW upgrade? I'm already on the hopper plan, but I wouldn't mind paying less and still having the hopping option?

Any other speculators out there? It's only slightly torturous - it's actually kinda fun to dream :teeth:

at this point in the game I will be happy with any dicount I can get. This is our first family trip and DH is amazed at the cost. So i will take anything ,but i really hope it is the dining :earsboy:

ooh, I love the free resort upgrade deal idea! That would be fantastic!! I would love to stay at the Poly, but it is too expensive for me on my little teachers salary!
It's funny to see how everyone is waiting and hoping for a code. I look on mousesavers all the time.............still nothing! Give me something...anything..I'll be happy!
For those of you that have not done the dining plan before. You will love it if we can get it for free! I did it on my last trip and it was great! I loved not having to worry about money. By the time we got home, though, we had gained a few pounds. Well worth it though in my opinion! I love to eat!!

I am only going for a weekend. Pop was booked so I am forced to stay at a moderate (boohoo ;) ) SO I am hoping that something comesout that I can use on my weekend trip. I will be there Dec.9-11. I really wanted to stat at Pop again, but hey..I'm going with the flow. Every value was booked!!!!

Nice to dream... the only question I would have about free resort or room upgrade... is would it be even possible at Christmas time? Aren't most resorts pretty booked up?

applechips, BRP is the Best Rate Program for Annual Passholders. Don't feel too jealous though....the BRP rate I'm finding for my dates in January (trying to add a couple extra nights so my ds can spend his 11th bday in WDW) is $110 for a moderate. Your AAA rate isn't bad. I haven't booked yet since I'm finding a $67 rate for a value resort and that's just so much more reasonable....debating on trying priceline first...I really didn't like All Star Movies when we stayed there as the room felt way too small and the resort was very busy and noisy.

Hi guys!

I think I'm going to cancel our reservations at POP and am going to go with the Buena Vista reservations. We're saving $700 on rooms and tickets alone, plus we get a free buffet breakfast every morning for our family of 6. Disney's discount package (if the details they came out with today don't change), just can't make up for that $700 difference, plus one free meal per day. What do you all think?

You just can't beat the math! We stayed offsite last week for the first time and it was a good experience. Same as you, the price difference was just incredible and there were five of us traveling.

Have a great visit!

Thanks for sharing that! Where did you stay, and how much did you save? :)

We stayed at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Downtown Disney. It was actually across the street from Downtown Disney. I subscribe to the mousesavers.com newsletter and received a rate of $79.99 a night! The suites were spacious. We had a King Suite so king size bed (dd slept with us since she is only 3). And we had a living room with couch, chair, and TV. The couch folded out to a queen size bed if needed. The kitchenette had a small fridge, coffee maker, sink, and microwave. There was a TV in the bathroom, living room, and bedroom. My parents joined us but they reserved their own room so we had lots of space! The location was incredible. We drove a rental car and it took less than 10 minutes to each park and 15 to Seaworld. 30 to and from the airport. I thought I would never enjoy staying offsite but it's my new favorite hotel! Although I'm staying at POR in December because I have wanted to check it out for a while.

Good luck!
