December 15, 2012 A Yo-HO-HO-HO Holiday Fantasy!

I am back from WDW:sad2::sad2: NWMom and DD are still there for a few more days. But for me back to work, start the new job today.

I am organizing the World WIde Man clulb meet @ O'Gills. As David said the more the merrier. I will be setting up the time as we get closer to not conflinct with the Pink Ladies or the DIS meet.

David, I found the perfict shorts and shirt. And now that you will be at the Beach Club, Loved the pool by the way, check out the Yacht Culb gift shop. That is were I found them.

For SSM, you can park my New Toyota Tundra right next to David's Gift. Hint,Hint,Hint.

Well back to work I go

Kevin

Don't know how I missed your post Mr President. My humble apologies to you sir, :worship:Mr President. I think I kept everything for the Worldwide Man Club in order while you were out galavanting................uuuhhhhhhhhhhhhh.................partying.........uuhhhhh.........having fun...............uuhhhhhhh..............playing around, no, no, no, no, I mean while you were on "Official Business" at WDW!!!! I know it was more intel gathering for us men. Did Skye spill any more beans? Were you able to gather the info we much need to protect ourselves and our remotes? Why just this morning DW was walking around the house - remote in hand - like she owned the thing!!!! That is so wrong on so many levels.............I am lost for words.

I will check out the new uniform you found at the Yacht Club gift shop Mr President. But, I have to add here, DW pretty much beat that idea outa my head the last time I mentioned it. I now have new bumps on my little head where she..............well you get the picture!!! (My hat still don't set right on my head!!! And you can see the receding hair line even better now!!!):sad2::sad::sad:

I know everything will go well on the new job Kevin. And again, CONGRATULATIONS on the new position. They picked the right man for the job!!!

Hey Kevin, that new Toyota Tundra will look nice beside my new Silverado under the tree on the ship!!! What color do you ask for? I want a silver one.

Well, I gots to go out and do my weekly yard work. Talk to ya'll again soon!!!:wave2:

thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

I have not updated my signature...our kids are 11 and 12. I had a look at the website for the cruisers and noticed that there are a few kids their age. This is good :)

I'm just starting to look at port adventures...are there any worth their money?

My DD wants to stay at YC. My DS says he's ok with a mod. I am leaning toward YC, but I am having a hard time justifying the extra cost. I'm typically frugal by nature. They love to swim, and we are canadian...so the cold really doesn't bug us that much if december is a bit chilly. It was back in 2010.

I would stay at WL, but that was where we stayed last time and Im afraid I will see DH everywhere.

Not sure how much I will be involved with all that is planned. My energy levels are not what they used to be. I think it is amazing and lovely that they are being planned, though. Never even knew this was done on cruises!

Tori,

I am so sorry for your loss. I think it is a great idea to get away for the holidays. It will be very healing for your kids and you. We are actually going through a similar situation with close friends of ours who lost their husband/father this week; in addition, they lost their home in the Colorado fires this summer. He left behind a 13-year-old girl (and 2 college age boys) who is close friends with our daughter.

Anyhow, onto the vacation planning. We decided to stay in the Holiday Inn on Hotel Plaza Blvd after the cruise (Dec 22-25). It provides free transportation to all of the Disney parks and isn't as expensive as the inside the park hotels. This is our first time doing Disney at Christmas so we will see how it goes! It is our 3rd cruise.

We have two girls, ages 12 and 13, so maybe your kids could meet them on the cruise.

Don't worry about planning the "perfect" vacation. Just go with your first thought on hotels and don't look back. All that matters is that you will be together.

take care,
Linda from Colorado

Tori, I didn't say before but DW and I too are so sorry for your loss.

The YC is a beautiful resort. On our last Disney cruise we stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and had planned to do the same this cruise. But Donna, Emily and I got online last weekend and we were checking out all of the resorts WDW has to offer. We narrowed it down to 3 - Animal Kigdom Lodge, the Yacht Club and Old Key West Resort. When our granddaughter Emily saw that the Yacht Club had a Soda Fountain Shop, that is all it took and she decided we should stay at the Yacht Club Resort. So, I made our reservations there. Emily loves chocolate shakes, malts, anything chocolate ice cream related!!! Wherever you decide to stay you all will be together and have a great time. We all look forward to seeing and meeting you on board the ship. Be prepared for the "WOW" factor when you first board the ship and they announce your name and you see the Atrium in person for the first time. :thumbsup2

Hello All,

I have been reading all of the posts for this group to catch up on it all before posting on here. We have been on disboards before and love it.

This is our 8th disney cruise. It is myself and my DD who turns 20 on the first day of the cruise. She finishes up her 3rd semester of college on the 13th, so it is a tight squeeze, but we are going to make it work!
:cool1:

Can't wait to meet all of you!

Updated Champagne Girls info on page one....looks like we have about 25 people so far. When we get much closer in I will be needing cabin numbers in case we have to change plans once on board, so I can get messages to you. I'm thinking we should use first sea day and maybe a 4PM meet time (I know, an hour before official cocktail time, but we want to give the early diners a chance to vist for a while). I also chose 1st sea day as I like to make new friends early in the cruise, so there are more people to say "Hi" to in the halls later on! :)

Once the first San Juan itinarary returns (11/3 sail date I think), we can see if any DCL activities would warrent a change to our initial plans (and get verification that Oh La La! is open that early).

.

My daughter and I may be interested in going to this. She will only 20, but she would have a fine time just talking and getting to know others.

Take a lool at my post #2020 and it has all the details of how to do that :wizard::wizard:

Morning All. Well, we made it thru Isaac yesterday. Turned out to be just another wind and rain event for us here on the west coast of Florida. Isaac was far enough out in the Gulf that it didn't impack us the much. I our thoughts and prayers go out to those in New Orleans, where Isaac is suppose to go ashore.

We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as well Mills family. :thumbsup2

We have family in Pensacola, glad all they had were some wind & rain too. Praise the Lord

Hi Everyone.

I have noticed alot of new people in the last 2 weeks but I am not sure you are on the cruser list. Please go to the first post and follow the link. The cruiser list I have is more up to date. I get the information there first. If you want on the FB page pease send me a PM and I will add you as a friend and to the secret group.

Also if you don hear from me for 5 days or so, please dont think I forgot you...I am working to pay for my cruise (Ha!!Ha!!)

If you are a part of the Fish Extender but not on FB, please send me a private message with your email and I will send you the list and updates.

Thanks
Lee

Trying to get 10 posts to be able to PM you. Want to make sure we are on the list :)

Booked, paid and ready to set sail! December 15 cannot get here fast enough!

This will be our 7th DCL cruise and 4th to the Caribbean! We are in the concierge area and I am curious how to do the FE if the gates are closed?

Is there a FE list going on this already? I'm sure there probably is but I am too sleepy to read back over hundreds of pages of posts! LOL!
