December 15, 2012 A Yo-HO-HO-HO Holiday Fantasy!

Kevin and David

With my new (hint, hint ;)) Humvee (original H1, black please :cool1:) next to YOUR two trucks :drive: under the tree, how will anyone else be able to walk around the lobby, or maybe even get on the boat? :confused3

Hey Doc, a new Humvee huh? Good choice. I don't know either - it sure is going to be crowed!!! Maybe we all could have a race around the Atrium. :drive: I'm going to bring my tunes :music: to play in the CD player in the truck. I did mention I want a CD player in my new Silverado didn't I??? And leather seats, and power windows, and, and, and, a killer sound system too, and, and, and, tinted windows, gots to have the tinted windows. Boy oh boy I don't know how Santa is going to bring all those new big trucks on board the ship. But is anybody can, Santa can!!!:santa:

Is it possible to have those joining the SSM group give a short post about them and their family's likes or allergies fav characters etc just to give the givers a heads up?
It would help with gift buying/giving ideas IMHO
:thumbsup2

Dee, Just was looking back at your idea for posts here about their family's likes, etc for SM, but you didn't put your info :lmao::lmao:

Maybe we could cruise around the Promade Deck with them. Slowly of course:thumbsup2

So, who says the cars can only be for the men:confused3:confused3

I will take a '64 vette. That will fit better under the tree. After that, there won't be room for a Silverado, a Humvee, or any other 'man' vehicles :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Welcome and it's great to see another family with older kids. We have a DD24, DS20, and the DD's boyfriend 23. Our DS may also have to adjust his finals - he could have some scheduled for the day of the cruise! He won't know for another week or so how his classes at Purdue will have finals scheduled, so I know exactly what you mean! Maybe we can introduce our kids? :wave2::wave2:

Linda

Yes I was so happy to see older kids as well. She pretty much grew up in the teen areas of the magic, but the two cruises we took she enjoyed going to the adult pool area and the nightly entertainment in the clubs.

We got lucky with her finals as she ends classes the 8th and the last possible day of finals is the 13.

We should definitly try and introduce our kids!

Tennyson Family
Peggy (aka Mom) - 43 years young, loves Mickey Mouse, Sheriff's Deputy for 20 years, 7th DCL vacation...married 15 years to...
Smitty (aka Dad) - 47 years young, loves vacations, Chief of Police, pirates if I had to choose a like, 7th DCL vacation...married to the bestest wife ever..hint hint...me! And to say the best part of our family...

Dalton - 12 years old, 7th grader, likes super heroes and pirates...will be missing his last week of school to come on this cruise as our school district changed winter break to the 21st instead of the week before...he is a bit sad (NOT) about missing exams!

I am allergic to sea food ( yep, believe it...live in Florida and do not eat any type of water borne foods...). I cannot eat fish, sea weed based products, or any shell fish...poor me! Other than that we are all pretty healthy!

Looking forward to meeting all of our cruising friends! How many days is it now???

Ya Hoo:cool1::yay::woohoo::hug:, The wonderful DW (NWMom) and DD10 got in last night. It is great to have everyone back together. Now Just a few more days and we can book Port Adventures.

Alright, Doc & Kevin, looks like that Christmas tree on board the Fantasy is going to be crowed. With Doc's Hummin' Humvee, Kevin's Thunderous Tundra, my Sleek Silverado and now a '64 Vette. Wow, we all may have to take turns driving around the Atrium or even as Kevin suggested the Promenade Deck.

Also, a shout out to Skye and their DD.............WELCOME BACK YA'LL!!!

I'm sorry to say we won't be sailing with y'all.
Hope everyone has a great :boat:

Thanks for welcoming us into the group touring San Juan, Skye.

Thanks for the welcome back everyone!

I think I sweat off a few pounds/inches in Florida while we were there. Too busy drinking water to stay hydrated to be able to eat much.

Hmm, have to find the scale to check my suspicions.

Oh, and ok..............the scale is at the new house. I'll pick it up the next time I am there.

Always fly in the night before. In the grand scheme if things the little you'd spend on a hotel is well worth the piece of mind knowing you are there. Or if heaven forbid something goes wrong and the flight gets delayed/cancelled, you still have time to make it to the port.

Coming in the night before also allows you and the family to get on the boat well rested to really enjoy the first day of the cruise!

I was going to just get the first flight out of Buffalo on the 15th...until I read a thread where the OP was concerned about possible delays (weather) that could occur (she is traveling in january).

What do the majority of you guys (who are traveling out of snow hit areas) do? Fly out the day before or day of?

I would have LOVED
to have been able to book us for a Friday flight. Alas, with two in retail (DD24 and the DDBF23 both at Target) and the DS20 just coming home from finals week at Purdue, there was no way to do this. We are simply hoping and praying :littleangel: that we have no weather issues out of Chicago. Usually, we don't have snow until Xmas or after, so I'm not terribly worried. But if you have an option, I'd take the Friday arrival:cloud9::cloud9:
