Kerri, that sounds like a plan, DD said she was interested in meeting your DD's. I didnt know they had the college club social, she also said she would look into that.

We will most likely get to The R.I. around 6-6:30 depending on how long it takes us to get out of the house. It is about an hour and a half to two hour drive to the port from our house.(depending on how fast DH drives)

I am planning on having the car completely packed when I go to pick up DS from school and hopefully we can leave right out. I know DH will be wanting to get down there ASAP.

Well, something happenned to my box and the Port refused to take it the CS agent said. I had purchased gingerbread hand lotion in these cute star shaped containers for the gals and either the box is damaged, one sprung or leak, or someone elses stuff leaked out onto. All they said was there was something oily in substance on the box, so I am assuming it was the lotions. They were in cellophane bags and tied, so I still dont understand if that is it or not. I guess I am going to have to carry on the box and then the rest of the FE stuff I had here to take with. Argghhh, that is over 40 pounds of stuff.....no use stressing till I see what happenned. But irregardless more shopping in my future as Carries pampers were in that box..

The college club social is offered at different locations, different times throughout the week. The first night it is supposed to be in Rockin Bar D at 10:00pm. Sunday night in Diversions at 10:15pm. I guess we'll just check the daily Navigator to be sure.
Hopefully they will let DD17 in, she's already in the college mode what with all the college visits and applications this fall. She's closer to 18 than 17 with her birthday in a few weeks. We'll see.
I had wanted to get into FL earlier in the day to just settle in, but I'm taking the kids out of school 5 days as it is, so a 3:30 flight it is....We are getting the kids out early though and heading right to the airport. DD7 doesn't have a clue!!

Tania & Sommer-I have to keep reminding myself that I just have to pack for a week long vacation. Not have to PACK MY WHOLE HOUSE UP AND MOVE! I don't know how you two are coping with that right now...Pixie Dust to you!

I haven't even started yet!!! I am a nervous wreck to be honest because I normally love everything to be organized and with the move, finals, etc. I have not been able to be on top of things and it is killing me!!

well, DH has been prince charming these past few days...he's managed to pack 24 boxes for our move and pack his own suitcase for the cruise!!!! he's truly a rockstar in my book!
i haven't started putting anything in my suitcase yet, i have put all of my hanging clothes in a special section of the closet. today i'm hoping to accomplish the last loads of laundry before we move.
this house has never seen such a mess in seven years.

i just have to keep that coffee pot brewing and it'll all be okay.

Well at least I know I am not the only one now! I still have plenty of boxes but I have just given up...If I keep thinking about it I will go crazier than I already am. Good luck. Our plan is to start packing tonight...let's see what distraction happens tonight, LOL.

Yes, I know, no more Stack for DD22 & DS19. There is a college-age type of gathering called the College Club Social. I'm hoping the oldest 2 look into that. My other DD17 will be 18 in 4 weeks. She's not too happy about not being able to go to Palo's and the College Club.
We are staying at the Residence Inn Cocoa Beach on Friday. Maybe we will run into each other and introduce the kids. Our flight gets in at around 6:30 and we should be at the hotel about 830ish.

They should let your 17yr old in, my dd was 12 on our lat cruise and we just had to say it was ok for her to say she was 13 so she could hand in the teen lounge, she was almost 13, this time she will be almost 14 and hopes to find friends her age.

College Social Club is supposedly for ages 18-22. I don't know how strict they are with the ages if you're off by a year. I don't think there are any activities planned like the younger groups, but just a meeting place for those who have "outgrown" the kids clubs. You should be fine.

Maybe the lotion bottles popped from the pressure in the airplane? I've had that happen in my luggage before...yuck! Glad it is all cleared up and you have a plan B though...

Hey to anyone still out there!
So far we have spent time at Sea World... just picked up a show we missed 2 years ago as well as Journey to Atlantis (got SOAKED!) and Kraken (Aaaahhhh! what an awesome coaster! I shook for an hour after but loved it!) Only spent 1/2 day there. Tix were included with our Discovery cove passes. (going there Thursday)

Our evening at MVMCP was a bust. I posted a thread on the theme parks boards about our disappointment. Too crowded. Waste of money...

Today we went to EPCOT. All went pretty well but again, the crowds?!? What happened to this being a slower time? Secret's out and it seemed like spring break. Half an hour wait for Malestrom is ridiculous.
But we did have a good day until waiting for our ADR's at Rose and Crown. We checked in 15 minutes early and weren't seated for 45 minutes! DH was on the verge of becoming one of the dwarves (the GRUMPY one!)

Tomorrow we plan to hit Animal Kingdom and hop to DHS for the Osborne lights, then make it back to the condo for late dinner.

I forget who asked, but the kids didn't seem too affected by the 3 hour time change. Maybe a bit sluggish in the AM and, well, it's 9:30 and they just got back from the pool! They are pretty easy kids compared to what I saw at the park today! Lucky us.

We are so glad to be doing the park thing first then cruising... You get so spoiled on the cruise with the great service and attention, it would have been especially hard to deal with the waiting for our ADR, in lines for lame rides, etc. after experiencing a week of DCL!

Lucinda- sorry to hear about the package you shipped! Sure hope that when you meet up with it, it is just something on the outside of the box and not from within.

woohoo I am packed outside of my diaper bag!! Casey is taking everything into work to make sure we arent over. I ended up with two large bags, one garment, 2 carryons that are not clothes(fe and coffee maker etc for WDW), one diaper bag, one stroller and 2 kids backpacks with their plane stuff! I thought I did good, Case was not impressed.
