December 13 - 18 - is this crowded?

We'll be at WDW starting Saturday 12/13 - which I expect to be crowded. But then what about the rest of the week 1Sunday 2/14 through Thursday 12/18? Will Christmas crowds really start to arrive after that??

We'll be there off and on around that same time. It starts to get busy-ish around the 18th-19th. Check out easywdw or touringplans for a pretty good crowd predictor.

agreed. we looked into it pretty thoroughly when booking our trip. we'll be arriving the 11th, cruise the 12-15th and then at disney the 15th-23rd. we know we'll hit some crowds part of the trip but are okay with that.

we were at the poly last christmas over those days you're going and i found the crowds manageable. the weather was nice although I know that can vary. we love disney at christmas.

I have been there the 12-16 and crowds thickened noticeably each day.

Went 12/11-12/17 last year and didn't think the crowds were too bad at all. Beautiful time of year to go!

We were there last December from the 16th to the 22nd. The crowds were MUCH lower than we thought they would be! It was a fantastic trip!

We were there two years ago Dec 17-23....crowds weren't too bad until last two days...This year we get in earlier Dec 14-19th...figure we'll be good beginning part of the week with crowds building by the time we leave on Friday.

Our first trip ever was about then and it wasn't bad at all. It was downright quiet until we got to the end our trip, about the 18th-19th? You could almost sense the crowds growing those days and that Saturday was a bad time to go to MK. Other than that we loved it! We keep going around that time.

I like how a PP used the word "thicken" - that describes it so well! But if you go there knowing this and are prepared, it is such an amazing time! We can't wait to do it again!!!

It shouldn't be bad. It might start to pick up towards the last day or so, but shouldn't be bad, still.

we went last year during that time and it was great. This year we are going Dec. 14-19 and I have had trouble getting reservations and rooms categories this year. It makes me think it is going to be busier... CMs have told me you are fine before the Sunday before Christmas.

I think you'll be fine with those dates. Most schools will release for winter break on the 19th. That's really the key piece of this. We were there that week a few years ago and that Saturday was an amazing thing to see. Cars were backed up to get into resorts. Be gone by Saturday and you'll be fine.

Parks won't be empty, but will be very manageable.

This has been my experience too. This year Christmas falls on a good date to go early. I think you will be fine. in other years where Christmas falls on a Friday or Saturday there is literally a 2 week window where tis busy as all get out. This year I think it is going to be pretty tame leading up till Christmas. Honestly, I don't even thing up to say 22 will be that bad, but after that people will take the long weekend and go Wednesday- time they leave, so you should be pretty good for the dates you've chosen.
