With two cabins, they are sep. reservations. I think the TA asked to have them sent directly to you, gave the shipping address for documents and Disney did not apply the address to both staterooms. Fortunately you can fill out everything you really need online. And luggage tags would have gotten the bags close to the right room.

I'm sure your TA will have the documents to you in no time!

We're going on a Disney Cruise:banana:

Yes, you got an upgrade and didn't know it! You are in a cat 9. Go pixie dust!

We are coming in on the 11th and staying at AKL on DVC points. Yes, it is too expensive, but I had points left in a "use em or lose em" status." We're not arriving till late afternoon, so won't do parks or anything....just dinner and enjoy the area. Then drive to the port the next morning. Would love to get there earlier, but DD has finals thru the afternoon of the 10th and there weren't any evening flights out that she could make after finals, driving home, etc.

I'm hoping to confirm with someone who gets off the ship this weekend whether platinum members got priority boarding; if yes, no need to rush to the port. The reports have varied over the last month or so.

DS is in the same boat. He's only 2 hours away, but if there is snow, DH will probably go up and grab him. He is checking next week whether or not he'll need to move a Friday final to another day. Hopefully they'll all be Mon. - Wed.

What does DCL say about priority for Platinum members?

KCashner,

It might be a good idea, so we can have more support, to post on the cruise thread cruising after ours. They certainly will have the same problem.

My daughter, who turns 3 this weekend, has officially outgrown her cinderella costume that she wore on last year's cruise. Well, technically it still fits her, but she has a new cinderella costume that fits her much better. Same for tinker bell. Anyone have any recommendations on the best place to sell disney toddler costumes? I'd rather not pack them away if there is a way to get them to someone who can use them.

Here's what the cinderella dress looks like:

Your DD is adorable. I'd try ebay.

I am planning 5 play outfits as well and will be doing laundry. Sooo worth it to me to pack one less bag and spend a whole $12 doing a few loads of laundry while there. DH likes to nap and there will be a time for me to get some of it done. Plus i am pretty close to the laundry room I believe on the ship.

My house too is a mess! I have clothes everywhere....getting the summer stuff out of the way, last years winter that is just ugly or outgrown out of my house and figuring out what to pack.

I have the girls formal dresses and tights, just need to buy them each a pair of dress shoes, which they need anyway. Dont know what I am going to do for semi-formal night though with them. DD6 isn't an issue, she loves and lives in dresses. DD9 is all boy, so have to figure that one out. She will kill me if I make her wear a dress twice. :lmao:

What kind of Christmas clothing are you looking for? I get all mine at Gymboree usually.

Bevtoy, MemoryMaker, Scooby,crsndsny

Thanks for all the advice. I read this like my disney bible. I'm feeling more prepared every day because you guys give such good advice.

I've packed the girls... mostly. And I'm thrilled to have a pressing service available to me on the boat. Unfortunately, when I packed the girls, I opted out of all of my other daily chores... so the house is a mess and the girls room is trashed. I had to pull down all their old, current and future clothes to get what I needed. Is 5 play outfits enough if I do laundry?

And I'm shopping for christmas clothes for the girls still. Spent all day yesterday and came up empty. :sad2::sad2:I need a size 8 and a size 4.
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Also, how do you put pictures up on here?

Find a free site like Photobucket and open an account. When you download your photos they will give you a code that lets you post pictures on boards like the DIS

Yes Orlando, you have a Cat. 9 cabin!!!:banana:

Thanks, GoBison! But now I'm really confused! It says our stateroom, 2026, is a category 9 and has a porthole window. As far as I know, we're category 12. Did I get a huge upgrade and not even know? :dance3: If so, I will be SO excited! You guys are so knowledgeable.... you're totally going to laugh at me about this one, I know.... :rotfl2:

:

I just picked up a really cool thing at Walmart that I had never seen before for laundry. It's like a dryer sheet, but has detergent on it. You put it in the washer, and then keep it in the load in the dryer and it works as a dryer sheet. One sheet does both. Very cool. Oh yeah, if you think you'll be doing laundry, don't forget the Tide to Go!...:thumbsup2 another favorite of mine.

.

I tested those sheets a couple years ago, and still have a box of them. I keep them for these trips soley, as they are sooo easy to throw a few in a zip lock and throw in the suitcase!

Orlando,

Thanks, got your money today. Bracelets are going out today. Let me know if you need extras, that was nice of you.

Halls, your bracelets also went out today!

As one of the few (if not only) DH on these borards I must thank you all. My wife teaches 3rd grade and is not around all day. I'm a lawyer so there are times when I'm in the office with some time to kill (like now as I wait for the DMV to pick up the phone!)

Anyway, we took our 1st cruise in 07 when the girls were 3 & 5. Now 2 years later, I had forgotten all the great ideas I thought of or was told back then. These posts have helped. I totally forgot about detergent. Do we still need quarters too?

Still trying to get a decent FE thing done. We have not packed yet. We assured ourselves we'd start this long weekend. :scared:

Still waiting to see what perks our AAA TA might have gotten us...
