Very good Bev.

It's outside of Palo. (the mystery photo)

And....I just got confirmation from my TA that I'm paid in full for my next DCL cruise (the one after this one!)

I don't know who "Irish Cowboy" is, but he/she has subscribed to all (or nearly all) cruise meet threads. There's something fishy about this.

Bizarre....my brother's doctor told him he needed Hep shots and a typhoid shot for the cruise...and then prescribed him Dukarol....

Now, it's quite possible my brother didn't tell her that we were on a cruise and that our time spent in Mexico was only going to be a few hours.... But still, we had hep shots years ago and we should be ok...

I didn't think you needed shots for a Caribbean cruise.... what gives? :confused3

IrishCowboy is the person who manages all of the meet threads, or at least the placement of them on the "find your cruise here" index thread.

I've noticed him subscribing on many of the threads that are getting large. I was wondering if that was because we were approaching the need for a part 2 thread.

I don't think it's that suspicious, since at least he comes in and informs us that he's subscribing.

I was just about to say Palo too. The wall to the right of it definitely looks like Palo.

My husband and I got Hep shots before we went to Tahiti - on a cruise as well... you never know you can get it in NA also... I actually had my Hep B shots done a long time ago when they started vaccinating all the kids here...
- however it is considered 3rd world.

Our kids have not had Hep shots and we have been on 2 carribean cruises..

We have all had our H1N1 shots in the last week, so at least that will not be a worry for us on the cruise.

We all have rash guards too - we are pretty "fish belly white" so this helps not getting burned... I did notice that not many people use them though.. My kids prefer wearing them to having to be sunscreened all the time :)I can't believe that two weeks from tomorrow we will be heading East! Man I have alot of Christmas shopping plus getting ready for the cruise in a short time to do!

Pirate night... havent decided on Phil's outfit yet... the rest of us have mickey and goofy pirate hats from WDW that we will most likely wear... nothing more.

Ok, this is our FIRST cruise. I am new to cruises and also new to forums. I am trying to make heads-or-tails of all the forum slang, etc.

I will be going on the Dec 12 Magic cruise with my daughter, who will be turning 11 on the cruise.

I don't even know what to pack!

Help!!

Welcome! Just ask questions and we can answer them if you don't get some of our abbreviations, etc.

I have a daughter who is 9 1/2 and a son who is 6 1/2...

We wil pack stuff like rash guards (surf shirts), bathing suits, board shorts for the pools and ocean, t shirts to cover up on excursions. Then my daughter will wear sundresses and shorts/tshirts to the kids club as well as sundresses with a sweater to dinner other then the formal nights - she has a fancy dress for that. I will bring along capris and tops for dinners - maybe a skirt or two, plus my formal wear.

What I have learned from being on 2 stormy trips in the caribbean is make sure you bring a sweater/light coat. We are pretty casual and go with the flow kinds of people.. we have some excursions booked - nothing in Cozumel yet - we'll figure that out later or not..

Pack less then you think you will need - there are washers and dryers on board. Other then that enjoy and see how things go... read the schedules and see if there is anything of interest for you - and go do that... What I love most about cruising is not having to make meals (or decide what to cook) and that I can have lots of time enjoying my balcony while the kids are enjoying themselves in the kids club. Every time we try to "spring" them from there, they send us away :).

I have been on a 4 night Bahamas cruise on the Wonder and the Western Carribean on Princess...

Shelebeen, thanks for the info!! We just booked the cruise yesterday because I am getting a good deal as a TA. We are really excited. Kind of bummed because hubby can't go, but excited nonetheless!

I need to go do some shopping and then get busy packing! I am kind of overwhelmed and trying to make heads or tails of what all I need to do!

My TA just dropped off my cruise docs! So excited to be confirmed with an early dinner seating at 6... that would be a challenge to have late dinner for us...

welcome - I have an 11 DD (daughter) also - there are several girls in that age group - this is our first cruise also, and everyone has been so helpful. Swimsuits and a couple of nicer outfits for dinner - otherwise it sounds like summer attire.

Just got our cruise docs in the mail - yeah! Anyone else for late dinner with kids besides us? That is actually our preference since we are from the west coast.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow.

We are so close to 100 pages, I felt compelled to post just to help get us there!

I can't believe how quickly this cruise is approaching. (And how ill prepared I am for it at the moment.) We just had all the carpet replaced on our upper and basement floors and stairs, so all the stuff that was previously on the carpet in all the affected rooms, hallways and closets, is now in my living room visible to all who enter the house, or in the basement. I tried to keep the cruise specific stuff in a central place, but lost track of it at one point now I have no idea where it all is!

For this one, I'm not asking you to guess what it's a picture of (it's pretty obvious), but I want to know where was this picture taken. And bonus points if anyone can guess where I was or what I was doing when I took this picture.
