Is there lots of pin trading among the kids? Should I buy my kids some? :confused3 I don't want to get there and the kids start begging for some pins cause all the other kids have them. I was thinking about just buying a lot of maybe 25 for the 3 kids to split from eBay. I'm sure I don't want to buy more than 1 per kid on board the ship. Suggestions are much appreciated.:)
For my grandson this time, I purchased a "lot" of 25 on ebay. I purchased from a seller with a high rating. About 12 of them were keepers. Last cruise I think I got a lot of "50", had them shipped direct to my 4 grandkids, and my daughter said that was MORE than enough pins. Each of them already had a lanyard and a few pins from Disneyland. Each of your children will need a lanyard if you want to do pins (or something to hold them). Those laynards will at times come with the pins if you purchase on ebay but usually have to be purchased separately. I will call my grandkids today and ask about what they loved the most, although I think they will say the ice cream station. Hint: If your kids like ice cream cones, bring the cones yourself because the ship only has bowls. My grandkids loved the cones I brought and felt special! The group that went had a 13 year old, 11 year old, 8 year old and 3 year old. I can get lots of input from that family! Will post after I find out about the pin thing.

We ordered some pins and I have some from our trips to Disneyland that we will be bringing on the cruise with us. My 5 year old twins will be trading!

That's basically what we do. I buy my son (13) a lot of 25 he pulls what he wants and leaves those at home bringing only tradable pins on the cruise. We will buy one Mexican Riviera Pin on the ship for his pin board at home. One thing that I noticed is that the pin trading doesn't seem to be as prevelant on the ship as in the parks - for us anyway. There were lots of times that he didnt even bring his pins out of the room with him.

one vey cool thing was pin trading with the officers in the atrium which they did one evening. In fact that night we saw the show, did the pin trading, ran down to the cabaret show, and still made it to dinner. :cool1:

Thanks for all the info on the pins. I will have to get a lot of 25 on eBay. How much do you think I should pay?

not being a true collector but someone who uys pins to trade for fun I expect to pay 17-20 for 25 pins. There are whole threads on the board relating to pins and ebay vendors that you might want to check out.

Just got home from visiting the Wonder at San Pedro. For those who are driving in on the day of their cruise parking is super easy. plenty of porters to take the luggage and then you just drive into the parking lot and walk back to the ship. We spent a lovely afternoon at a park across the water from the ship. Watched everyone on board milling around, heard the sail away show and then watched the ship head out to sea. Really makes the cruise a reality when you see the ship. The ship is located at Berth 93.

We got everything we wanted and early check in. I am not sure I can wait 74 more days.

So I just got done with my on line check in and at the end it had our port check in time as 3:00 to 3:30. We will be to the port around 1:45. Will we have to wait around till 3:00?

Who knows what Disney will be doing in December. I would keep watching the threads to see what others are saying about the arrival time and if Disney is enforcing it.

What time does the port open? Is it at 11am or 10:30?

Disney website states port opens at 10:30 boarding begins at 1:00 pm.

Hope this helps.
