December 11, 2011 Mexican Riveria

Sorry to be so late but here is what I found out.

I paid $27 for 25 pins on my ebay order. I went back later and picked up a few for $3 to $4 each, also on ebay, of the characters that my grandson loves the most.

I talked to my 12 year old grandson about the pins. He said he had great fun with them. He would watch for ship attendants and just any worker that had a lanyard on and ask to trade. He said they all were very nice and would all trade with him. His big sister took the two younger (3 and 5) girls and help them ask for trades. They all enjoyed it.

When they would go out to trade, they would only take pins they weren't fond of to trade with.

Hope this helps.

So I just got done with my on line check in and at the end it had our port check in time as 3:00 to 3:30. We will be to the port around 1:45. Will we have to wait around till 3:00?
So, I have a question. I just finished my online checkin and I don't understand the difference between my ship boarding time and my selected terminal arrival time period. It says that the ship boarding time is on my cruise itinerary...but where do I get that? None of my documents so far have a boarding time. I selected my own terminal arrival time so I know that, but can't find my boarding time anywhere. It gives me this statement:
"Note: Your ship boarding time, as listed on your cruise itinerary, may be different than your selected terminal arrival time period. We thank you in advance for observing your selected terminal arrival time."

:confused3So do any of you know where I can get my cruise itinerary? I have a confirmation and a summary, but no itinerary. Help!!!???

we were on the phone this morning upgrading to a veranda and asked about pirate night. After seeing the ship on sunday we decided to go with the veranda so we upgraded this morning. Still have no room number as we are still considered gty. I was kidding Heather that as a CM they will probably give us "hanging off the ship"

Ugh I had seen that too.

The good thing is, hopefully, they'll be upgrades available at the port that day.....crossing fingers:worship:

This is why i choose 11:00 so i might be early enough to get in-expensive upgrade. :rotfl::rotfl::banana::banana:

So was 11am the earliest check in time available? Also, do you suppose the expected cost to upgrade will be the same or similar to when cruising in Orlando? My sister is in an inside stateroom and we'd like to surprise her with an at port upgrade if still available.

Emily

We put up paper rings that represent each day till the cruise. We tear one off each day. I had to do something my 4 year old kept asking if we were going on the cruise today.
I was going to post a picture but I don't know how.

My understanding is that you do not have a boarding time. When you get to the port and check in they will give you a boarding number. If I am wrong can someone correct me.

We are using a calendar and marking off the days(I also numbered them). We are going on the Polar Express train a couple days before the cruise so my two keep asking me when they get to go on the train and when the cruise is.

Thanks for the info. Makes more sense to me anyway!

One of my grandaughters (4 years old) wanted to come with us and just to change from 4 to 5 in a cabin they would have to totally rebook and the price would be going up $1900.00. Guess she can't come. Sad!:sad2:

I could not find where the "kids sail free" offer still exists.

I got the kids sail free deal through my travel agent. We booked it the beginning of September. Disney's site didn't have it listed anymore when we booked but the travel agent said it was still going on. I went through snelgrove travel. Their phone number is 801-544-1800. I don't know the toll free number. It's worth a shot.

I found this info, hope it helps

Disney Cruise Line this week unveiled a "Kids Sail Free" deal on most of its Mexican Riviera sailings from October 30 to December 18, 2011.

Children age 17 and under will sail free on the 1,754-passenger Disney Wonder when traveling with two full-fare passengers in the same balcony cabin (categories 4A – 6A). Disney said there is no expiration date on the deal, but that the number of cabins allocated for the offer is limited.

Thanks. Yes it is worth a try. It does not show up at all on Disney anymore.
