December 11, 2011 Mexican Riveria

I have a 14yo daughter looking for a friend. She loves musical theatre and marvel comics. On our last cruise we met someone in line at the port and my daughter had a friend for 7 days. I hope she is as fortunate this time.

I have a 14 yo son. He is into swimming and just started in a drama class at school and seems to enjoy it.

Was Palo brunch still available? I cannot book anything for another 15 days.

I am looking for car service advice for a car to take us from Disneyland to the port and then port to LAX....hoping for a limo....as we are celbrating a 16th bday while on board and want to make it extra special.

Thanks for any advice.

Emily

Just wanted to let those of you who wanted to book Palo, that there was LOTS of options left open (for both Brunch and Dinner) when I booked them this afternoon. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info. What day do you think would be a good day and or time? I was thinking about doing brunch one of the days at cabo.

Hi, everyone. I am just back from an Alaska cruise. I am amazed at how busy the board has been! Sorry I did not let everyone know I would be out for just over a week, but I am back now and will be catching up my FE work right away!:surfweb:

I just got done making our fish extender. It doesn't look to bad for my first time.

You are doing great! I have the FE from my first cruise (I bought it on Ebay), and have started picking up little gifties that I find here and there!

This past week we were in New England and did a fast trip to Maine. We CA people forget it gets really chilly at times. So as a point of reference the weather was only in the mid 60's in the evening but it was very windy. I am sure on the ship it will be quite windy so don't forget to bring a suitable jacket. We are going to do a combination winter (xmas holiday) and summer cruise wear.

I saw your weather question over on Cruise Critic. Thanks for asking that, since I was wondering the same thing as well! :thumbsup2 Guess I'll just bring a little of everything.

looking at my schedule for the next few months. Oct. is crazy as our neighborhood goes all out for Halloween decorating starts beginning of the month culminating with a block party on Halloween. Plus have decided to do a Meet New Neighborhood party on the 16th as we have so many new people.A trip to Disneyland to see Holloween decorations than in November
our thanksgiving trip to Disneyland for a few days. By Dec 11 I will be ready for a nice leisurely cruise. Heather decided against the ziplining as it is too far inland. As a single mother it would not be prudent to take unnecessary chances

We are taking the Disney Cruise on Aug 13. You'll have to let me know how the weather was.
My news about the weather was that it was "Alaska" weather. This is my second trip and I don't have the recollection of the first trip seeming so cold. On our first shore excursion in Ketchikan it was in the 50's but not raining and all was fine. We attended a tour, a show (outside), and went crab catching/eating on the water. All was fine. After that, at Juneau and Skagway the days got colder and our shore excursions moved to the rated moderate type. The one in Juneau only involved a treck through the forest. It was cold and wet but not too bad. Next day at Skagway we took a boat ride for 1 hour, a bus through the forest, then had to suit up in rubber boots, rubber bib overalls and rubber hooded jackets (and this was all on top of the heavy clothing we were already wearing). With all that gear on, we hiked 3/4 mile in the cold rain through a forest to get to where we boarded a boat with about 10 others and "rowed" ourselves out to a glacier. Well, I saw the glacier up close and as soon as I did, I was ready to row myself back to shore, treck back through the forest and get to somewhere warm. When we did get back to the boat that brought us, it was very hard to board because of the wind/rain conditions. After that little excursion, my camera no longer functioned. :confused3 So to make this long story shorter...I am only doing old person tours from now on!!!!! We just hit some cold, wet weather. You are going two weeks earlier in the year and it will probably make a big difference...I just know it!

I give you credit for all your tours. My tours are definitely in the "old lady catagory. What are you planning for Mexico.
