December 11, 2010 7 Night Western Magic (Part DEUX)

Got our Palo reservation and the two excursions we are booking through Disney. Can't wait for a little vacation.

We made our Palo reservations also for Brunch and High tea and Excursion to Tulum confirmed.
Now this is getting exciting.

We have gone before without advance reservations.

If there is nothing available online just make sure you go when you board the ship and get yourself a reservation then.

Usually there are some kept back for just that purpose, or others are making changes etc.

just curious as to how we are looking for the FE exchange? we are all set to do it, as we had bought for a large group that was partaking in it for our original cruise booked for Feb, so we have lots of stuff!!!!

We do not yet have a stateroom number assigned to us, but will let the organizer know as soon as we get it

We were happy to get our Palo Brunch reservation at midnight the other night!!

Unless something drastically changes it looks like our cruise could be a very quiet one.

Every category of cabin (with the exception maybe of Category 1) are still available.

Guess nobody wants to travel that close to but yet that far away from Christmas.

with the lack of people looking to join the FE exchange, and the fact there are many catgory rooms open, does make it seem the ship will not be full

is that good or bad?

also, will they upgrade people to open oceanview or verandah rooms ? or will they keep them empty??

we have a category 11 inside reservation, and would love to get a suprise of being upgraded

does anything onboard change if the ship is not at capacity?

Good or bad I don't know for sure.

But there will be more room in the lifeboats that way

There will probably be some upgrades but not necessarily all. I think they try to spread people out around the ship so that all the room stewards have some work to do.

We also have category 11's, 3 of them all GTY's booked. We would love upgrades too.

I don't think much more changes if the ship is not at capacity. All the scheduled events will go on planned.

Can count us in on the Dec 11th cruise. Hope it's not a full ship, better chance in winning bingo! Looking forward to a relaxing cruise.

This was what I was thinking and then you posted it.

I haven't been on here in a while and now see the thread has livened up a bit. This is our first cruise ever. It will be four of us....me (33), DH (35), DD (12) and DS (10).

Is there a timeline of what we should do by certain dates? I am certain I am going to forget to do something....like pay my balance.

I think that is due by September 27

If this is your first cruise I think you can start making excursion and Palo reservations at 75 days out too.

I bet a lot of people are holding out for the Dream next year, were booked onto a dream cruise next November and it looks really busy!

Also the disboards podcast cruise departs the next day (we were originally booked on this and moved the booking) so I guess most disers will be booked on that?

I don't know

I've tried to book my son for Palo since his booking window opened on Sept 12th. He is a silver Castaway Club member.

I've not been able to book brunch for him at the time that the rest of us are going and there does not seem to be many brunch spaces left.

I think that I will check back when the 75 day window comes along. Maybe they will open up more reservations at that time.

There are plenty of spaces showing still available for dinner though, if that is what you are looking for

Is there a time and day you want me to check for you to see if it is available right now? I'd be more than willing to do that for you.

I haven't received any post notifications recently so I just assumed our meet was still dead in the water, but lo and behold there is life here! And I've been missing it!

Glad to see there are others here, now to go back and see what everyone is up to!

OK, I have PMs from the following people for the FE list.

total of 17 adults, 12 kids for the above list..

I will stop taking additions to the list at the 60 day mark so we have a solid # to work with and I will send out the list to those involved..

We are jumping ship!

When they announced a special for Canadian residents for January and February 2011 cruises, we looked it up and found one perfect for us

So, after being booked for the December 11th cruise for almost a year, we decided to go ahead and mix up our plans
We are going on the February 26th sailing of the Magic to the Eastern Caribbean. Not my first choice since I've done this itinerary twice, but still DCL right?

Aw darn it, I was hoping for custom FE's hand sewn with love by you! lol
We missed out on Palo Brunch cause I couldn't decide when to do it. So, because I can never get thsi straight...the 75 day mark is Sept 27th, right? Does that mean I need to be online the 26th at 9PM or the 27th at 9PM (we are pacific time here).

I don't know why that is always so hard for me to figure out
