HA!HA! It was in the low 60's here last night and me and the kids were complaining! DH had to turn the heater on.
I guess that's why I live on the west coast-I'm pretty sure my freezing point is around 50 degrees!

It actually snowed here in Chicago yesterday morning. This morning it's in the 30's but is warming up to about 48.

It was quite warm and humid here last night, as I walked around Epcot sampling the Food and Wine Festival :)

Is our list on page 1 up to date? I started working on your gifts this week, and want to make sure I don't miss anyone.

Monica- I'm jealous!
Not just because you're there...but because you have the time to think about the gifts already! UUUGGG! I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight now because I haven't even CONSIDERED what I should do! :scared1:

Snow YIKES! My poor kids see snow once a year- Our school has 10 tons of snow delivered the day before Christmas break for the kids to play in. It sounds like alot, but it's really about 30 square feet, 6 inches deep with 50 kids playing in it at the same time. Last year the snow melted into sludge by 10am (it was a record high of 96 in DECEMBER!!) but the kids still thought it was great.

It is as update as I have caught the information - I didn't post personal names unless you had posted them here publicly.

Everyone take a look and let me know if I missed something :-)

Wow!! There are a lot of us!! This is getting so exciting!! Have you guys seen the designs in the creative Dis? Ecspecially the ones in the Design faces folder. Maria does these fabulous one that I am going to put on some tshirts.

Sorry we just caught up on all the posts. Alexis had to have tubes in her ears this week and started soccer. She is fine...her first words when she came out of recovery were "Can I eat now!" he he he :rotfl:

Now she can't claim that she couldn't hear me when I tell her to clean her toys up!! :rotfl2:

Rina - I am glad everything went well for Alexis.

Monica - You have time for wdw and the gifts this week. I am so jealous of both. I need to get to work on mine too!

Andrea - We usually get hit hard a couple of times a year. Enough snow to play on and sled twice a year. Thats enough for me and I am glad when its over. The children about killed me this year. We had so many clothes on and sled down this long hill and I would barely be able to stand up and we would walk back up the hill of course everyone holding on to me. It is nice of the school to have it there so they can experience it. It seems to always threaten snow when we leave to go on vacation and I will be on pins and needles until we are off the ground.

Iankh - Did yall have just flurries or sticky stuff on the ground? Is that typical for yall this time of year? It was 60 here today. Its around 35 right now and I am freezing. I cant get warm.

Kristen - Thank you for keeping up with the list on the first page!!!

So, what do yall think about the post about the band? I dont think I really care because I dont know what I am missing. However, I would be interested to hear from one of yall thats been before.

I'm in the same boat (no pun intended) about the band. I really have no clue what I'm missing so I can't really get fired up about it.

Here's something I am fired up about. DH just informed me that he has promotional interviews on Dec 6th-The day we leave for WDW at 6:15am. My question "how are you going to go to an interview when you'll be on a plane with us?".
The solution-he will be taking a later flight (about 4 hours behind us) and take the magical express to WDW to meet us. My problem? I have to travel with 4 kids under 8 AND I have to reschedule our planned ADR at O'hana for that night because Dh really doesn't want to miss it.
Now I have to spend the night rearranging all of our fantastically finetuned dining plans (I hope you all understand that I am mocking myself) so that DH doesn't miss Ohana.
I guess we will sit in the hotel and watch TV for 4 hours while we await his arrival.

Andrea - What time do yall get to the airport? If it happened in a perfect world...it would be about the same time for us and we could help you out!!! We will have three adults dd11, ds9 and a one year old. I want to say we usually get there sometime around lunch and we are going to the poly too. I was nervous at first thinking you were going to say the dreaded word...cancel. What is irritating is his work could have done the right thing and do it the next week or the day before.

Andrea,
That is so frustrating! I have had to re-do my seat assignments on the plane 3 times, because everytine stupid Delta changes their flight time by 10 stinkin' minutes, they lose all of my seating assignments. And they were complicated, with 5 kids and 2 adults that have never flown (1 is terrified - he may back out and drive!) and 1 that may need a wheelchair becuase of a bad back.

grrrr.....

I am not sure about the band either - don't know what I will be missing and I like DJ's okay. So, are we all going to meet up one night and have drinks and dance? whooo hooo.

Wonder where happylawyer is? Not like her to be off the boards for a few days :-(

That is funny that we are all staying at the Poly that are doing the Land/Sea. We get in at 8:30 PM on Wednesday - when does everyone else?

Kristen

Ours bracelets arrived this morning - many thanks - loved the envelope!
Address was fine, and customs form was fine too

Thanks

Hopefully everyone will have theirs soon. I am anxious to see if jdyer gets theirs in a timely fashion. I believe they were in the UK and I hope I did the address right. It was quite different. I had to fill out a little customs thing. We just got home for the second time. Howard just raced for points only. No one showed up. This was a makeup race. We went to the dirt track with sprint cars and modifieds. It was alot of fun. Howard wants to start mini sprints when he gets 11 but I dont know if my heart will let me do that. Are any of you nascar fans at all?

I just received notice of a schedule change for our return flight on the 22nd. We had booked an 8:30 AM return and the flight was changed to 6:12 AM. Considerable difference at that time of day! I called AA and they changed us to an 11:30 AM return and there was no penalty which was a relief, and there was no problem getting two seats together.

Regarding snow the other day, it was just a heavy flurry. It's now warmed up into the low 50's, but let me say, when it was cold. Wow. I'm not aclimated yet! I also stand on a windy El platform every morning and the cold made it feel like one might long wait for the El (train). I didn't think I'd be wearing gloves in early October!

We generally get to WDW around lunch time. I am not sure what the exact time is. I cant wait. I am also excited about Thanksgiving. I love the Holidays. WE shop, decorate, and wrap our gifts while the guys are hunting. We go to starbucks for our first cup of peppermint hot chocolate!!! This year we are going to take a carriage ride downtown....just the girls! We have been planning, planning, planning.

Guess what we are doing today? Your right..... racing!!!!! I dont know how many weekends in a row now.

our flight is scheduled to get in around 4:30PM. DH will come in around 9:30. I think I might just take the kids into MK to see spectromagic and grab quick service food (or get fast food on the way). But we are on Delta too so they keep changing the times on us (and I have had to re-seat us too).
DH didn't even want to ask to change the promotional dates. He thinks it would hurt his chances.

I don't know what I'm going to do about holiday shopping. I usually have most of it done by now-but I haven't even started. I usually do my last few gifts on the day after Thanksgiving. My sister and I have a tradition-we spend the evening of Thanksgiving scouring the ads and making our lists & shopping plan (DH makes fun of us-says we put more work into it than his search warrant details!)
That morning we get our Starbucks fix then get in line. Half the time we don't even need to be there that early-but it's a fun way for us to bond and such a rush!

This year we are going to the desert for Thanksgiving-I might have serious withdrawls I will be at least a few hours from the nearest store! We have a group of 60+ people , the plan is to fry some turkeys and ride all day. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself!

Christie and I go with My sister, my sister in law, my neice and her best friend(they are 21) and my best friend. Most all of us are through with our shopping at that time and are just out having fun. I cant imagine a Thanksgiving holiday and not doing it. We usually leave at 5:00 in the morning like a bunch of crazies. My Mom leaves at like 3:00 a.m. and she can have it!!!!!

We have ohanas adrs the first night and we plan to see wishes and the electrical water parade from our table. We will probably hit the hay early that night, because most likely wont allow another early night until the cruise if then. I need to look at our plans because we have to make it to dtd for Santa pictures and shopping one night. Have yall ever done the Santa pictures down there? They are great. They are my favorite. We have always done them at night.

I forgot to tell yall...Howard qualified 5th out of eight and finished 3rd. He was so happy. The track we were at today pays out in our class unlike other tracks, so he won his first money race!!!!! ($29.00!, but to him it may as well been a million!) Our track only pays out on the Fourth of July race in his class which we have won two years in a row.It is hard for him to go from asphalt to dirt mainly because you cant break in dirt. Its all in the defensive driving and control of the kart.

Jet Blue keeps squeezing my hours too. They are making are flight out later and our flight returning earlier.

We won't get in till 5PM Jeopardizing dinner with you fine people, and leaving at 3 something making it tough to do the water park for the last day.

Such is life.
