December 10, 2006 - 12/10/06 Wonder

OH YALL!!!!! I cant wait. I wasnt planning on going to the clubs but now I almost have to to see John Travolta dance!!!!!! I am a people watcher and so is my son. William claims hes not but has no problem joining us! It depends on what kind of mood Christie is in.

In the past at the parks, the weather is so unpredictable in December. I go ready for all weather. I am worried for the cruise. In June when William and I went on our cruise, It was downright chilly at night. I am just going to be ready. In the 60s is pretty chilly and add it to the breeze off the ocean we might have icicles hanging off our behinds!!!!!

I cant act like it was easy for me to do my ticker and my boo'd sign. :badpc: Christie actually took me through the process for my ticker and I used that lesson in computers from my eleven year old dd for my boo'd sign. After all that is why I do everything in my power for them to have a great education since the children are our future!!!!!! (she was like MOM THAT IS SO EASY....I was like whatever, just show me how!!)

Babybird - Your dancing boo'd banana is too cute.

All right, let me catch up!:)

I can dance and my dh can dance - only two-step! We actually met at a country dance club where I was teaching. However, he will no dance rock-n-roll, but you can swing to almost everything.

Emilee and Riley love to dance. Riley was so cute at a wedding this summer - he kept going up to the bridesmaids and other 20-something girls and dancing with them - even cutting in on the guys they were dancing with. AND WE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THEM! :rotfl:

One of them told Riley, "You really have some good moves!". He beamed for a week and kept telling everyone that the 'girl in the polka-dot dress thinks I have good moves!".

I don't have any idea what to do for our game - tell me again. I am making door magnets, I think (right???), but them what do we do for the game? I am clueless, sorry!

My best friend told me that her husband saw a commerical or something for the Mediterranean cruise - and they might go! I didn't even know he liked Disney...

Talk to you later! Kristen

I think my ticker is off a day, because when I set it up, I did it from the 'real' start day of the 7th. But we are coming in on the 6th!

I guess it will sneak up on me faster, haha!

less than 7 weeks. Hard to believe.

I SOOOO need this vacation.

Neal

I'm with you. I'm in DESPERATE need of a vacation. My company is now trying to cram in 6 software releases before December 15th. Odd that my group has to pay the price for poor planning on everyone elses part. They are all enjoying themselves and relaxing having been late and burned time, but we're expected to still keep to dates.

Y-I-C-K
My banana dances in your honor...

I work in MIS and my Joe works in accounting - talk about being living with everyone else's lack of planning... how many times have you heard about how the project will suffer because YOU arent' meeting THEIR deadlines? It reaks of the phrase I'M TELLING from elementary school!
Just smile thru their stupidity/laziness and dream the happy dream of John Travolta, Elaine and swing dancers tearing it up at the 70's party! Oh, yeah - it's allllll going to be worth it! :dance3:

On our trip to Vegas DH and I had 4 hours of talk time and can you believe the topic of majority was the DIS. I was filling him in on all of the different familes, couples & groups and who is where & what they are talking about. At first he was weirded out that I know so much about strangers. But as I started to explain stuff like the magnets and bracelets-I could see the excitement building. He's in MD at training but I can't wait to tell him he needs to polish his dance moves because he is going to be the star of the show! :teeth:

My friends/family thought I was weird (ok-more weird than usual) to "talk" to strangers too - and omy goodness!! when they heard I was planning to meet them......lol! :rotfl:

They do think it's great tho, that you guys are willing to meet me and keep me company at times while I go on my 1st solo cruise. :)

Neal and Silly thanks for the sympathy. Unfortunately, the planning was done by my boss so there isn't in the way that I can push back. We are also committed that we're going to deliver an additional 3 releases on top of the 3 we're currently testing by December 15th.

iankh - I hope everything goes well with your deadlines and you feel confident before you leave for the cruise so you dont feel any pressure or worry while your gone.

William occasionally looks in on my conversations. He is a little more on the reserved side and I am alot more social. He is not snooty or rude just reserved. I can just about talk to anyone and so do my children. We love to entertain. I love having get togethers and such and he enjoys that and helps out alot before we moved. I told him that we would have to visit the clubs to watch all of our stars. He just laughed.

It will be sad when we all meet and have to leave five days later. We will probably want to go again and wont be able to. I cant go again until 2008. Christie said January 2008........noooooo December 2008. We will always have the DIS. Is anyone watching Survivor?

Does anyone else find it DISconcerting that so many of us are in IT?
I Wonder what it all means?

I have 3 motto's at work:
1. Neal's "Lack of planning..."
2. Bill Engvale's "Here's Your Sign"

and my #1 favorite response to stupid questions (that I of course never say out loud)

"If I had that kind of power over space and time, do you think I would be working in this crappy job?!?"

It doesn't? But you computer people can do ANYTHING! :confused3

I'm just an MIS secretary so the stuff that I take care of is in support of the computer people that can do anything. I admire the patience of the team that I work with and the VP that I work for. Some of the requests are just down right goofy.:goofy:

We break into the 30's in our countdown in a few days and it seems just down right wierd that time has flown by so quickly. I have most of my gifts together and I will go to Home Depot today to pick up some Mickey Heads for our doors. I need to connect our new printer to our computer so that I can print our other door stuff. Perhaps some of you 'real' computer folk can stop by and give me a hand?

Christie and I have to get together and print ours. She has got some stuff ready to print and we already have our magnectic paper. We just havent done it. Some of it is not what I would have done, but she is excited and I cant say no!!
We are racing one last dirt race (supposedly) before this track closes for the winter. Howard has already won the championship in the class he started the year in and he will win the championship in his new class if he wins the race on November 4th. (That is on asphalt. We have not had above third place on the dirt. ) His competition has already let him know that he is not ready to give up. We are twentyfive points behind. Any way around it we have had a great racing season. Our home track is closed in December! Yeah!!!!! Last year when we went to Disney in December we raced the day we left. Howard literally got out of his go kart and into the car to go to the airport. I was not a happy camper. William had a friend to take our trailer to the house.
Our weather this week is in the low 60's and cold.
Off to the track. Yall have a good Saturday and meet those deadlines!!!

It's been in the high 80's here this week. TOO hot for Soccer Saturday! I guess i shouldn't complain-I'll have a nice tan for the cruise-that way no one will mistake me for a white whale on the beach! :sad2:

We had a good soccer day today-two wins and a tie. No sad kids around here today. Even the one who tied was happy because she really played well!

I'm still not done with the door signs. I just can't get it to look exactly like it does in my head. I guess I'll just keep working.

If we are going to do 1200 posts we better get writing!

We need to start posting 11 times a day to get to our goal! (1260 right?)

What is the significance of 1260 posts?

I was not planning on doing a door sign.

I am also contemplating seeing if we can upgrade at the port.
