Peek season car rental....is it normal for it to be really expensive. Renting 12/18-1/2. Seems their charging the same price I rented a car for 2 weeks this summer!

I guess peek season they can charge whatever they want?

You are going over a holiday period, no surprise that it is expensive. Holiday seasons are always peak. Take heart, the rates may drop. Keep checking.

Funny thing about this is that the limo services don't triple their prices. I'm dealing with "Your ride" and the price has been the same.

good point, but, they are not car rental agencies. All car agencies do this all over the country. Does not make it right, but, that is they way this business works. Airlines do it too. Like I said, keep checking. Over this coming labor day the rates have dropped. Granted not a biggie like Xmas, but, a holiday just the same and the rates were high.

of an increase with dollar mini van. I got one for 12/26 thru 1/2 for 249. before tax and all. I thought that was pretty good. maybe a few dollars more than other times. I tried all of the codes on mousesavers until I found one i liked.

did you try the kiss3 code for that van via Dollar? not sure when it expires but it was giving a 199.00 per week rate. Not sure about black out dates.
