anyone else having trouble getting them? i can not get into chef mickey's or le cellier. they are telling me that dining plan people scoffed them all up. all ready taking jan and feb adr's. we went the second week last year too and did not have any trouble at all. bummed.

You have to book ADRs 180 days ahead (the limit) if you want any hope of getting all your preferred restaurants and times. The DDP has made table service dining very popular. You'll have to pick unusual times (late lunches, very late or very early dinners, etc) and some of the less-popular restaurants at this point. Good luck...

i did start at the 180 day out - just am wondering if anyone else is having trouble with early dec adr's.

I called on the 180 day for Le Cellier and got the cold shoulder too. Said many were saved for Candlelight Processional. Heard from many that these would be available mid August. Unfortunately they went on sale early and I missed them too. :confused3

Now just have a Coral Reef res and am finding out how many people don't like it so I may cancel that. If it was just me I'd do it, but with our group, some might not like their prices if it's just average. Then again, one of the main detractors is the Dis Podcast group and they don't like the Biergarden either, which I love.

Decisions, decisions!

We're going in early December. I called at 180 days out, and got pretty much everything I asked for. But I called at 7 AM each day, exactly 180 days ahead. I got LeCellier at 4:40 PM, which wasn't a very good time for us, and so called back a few weeks later when the CP reservations were opened up and got a 5:30 reservation for the package (and then cancelled the 4:40 ressie, obviously).

At the time I made the ADRs, we were still planning on staying off-property, so I couldn't do the 180+10 thing. But it still worked out okay. Now we've changed our plans and will be staying on-property. Too bad we hadn't made that decision earlier... the reservations would have been a lot easier to make.

Just keep trying, people cancel all the time. Personally I dont know what the hype about CM is....the food is terrible but I guess it is eating with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald that is so exciting to people.

At 180 out, the best I could get for Le Cellier was 8:40 or later. Aside from that I got everything I wanted, but when I called to make a few changes because the Dec park hours changed, I was unable to get the changes I wanted. I was surprised, because I didn't expect that sort of difficulty during what is supposed to be just about the slowest time of the year at WDW.

Hey David, remember me? :goodvibes

I should clarify that I too did the early morning 180 day out deal and actually was offered a time at Le Cellier but it was either lunch or a very late dinner neither of which suited our plans. You can get them but you have to be on the phone, first thing on your first day 180 days out and be a little flexible.

I think I missed the CP dining deal as I blew calling on the first day when CP was offered. Thought (and heard) that it was going to be available mid-August and it became available much earlier. In the end, my fault for not keeping closer tabs.

But remember, you're still going to have a great time, ADR's or not. In fact this is the first time I'll have ADR's and I've always had a blast. Hope you enjoy your trip!

I called 180 days out for my ADRs for Dec. 8-11 and had no problem getting anything I wanted. I know historically that the first two weekends in December are very busy, so made sure I was on the phone for my 180+10 window. BTW: my ADRS are for LeCellier @ 6:30PM, Coral Reef @ 6:30 PM, and Kona Cafe @ 6:20PM. So no problem getting great times for a table for 4.

We got every restaurant, day and time we wanted for our December (12-18) trip.
I think CM and Le cellier are two of the more popular spots, so no suprise they may be already booked..

Yup... I hope there aren't any hard feelings about the tipping discussion. At least it won't matter for my December trip, as we're now on the dining plan and our servers will be getting 18% regardless. I only hope the service they provide is deserving of it. :goodvibes

I lucked out in that I happened to be browsing allears.net or the UG's website on the day they opened up the CP reservations. I called immediately and had a choice of three different times for my LeCellier ADR, all better than the original 4:40 non-CP reservation.

As to the general question of getting desirable ADR times at desirable restaurants... I think calling first thing at 7 AM on the 180 day mark provides a real advantage over those who call later that same day.

I got my lecellier the day the candlelight went on sale, so I guess people dropped thier normal ressie and picked up the candlelight one.

I got Ohana about a week later, and got liberty tree tavern last night. My wife asked me yesterday to change the lecellier time by 25 minutes (currently 7:10). I was like, umm, not gonna happen.

but through out my entire dec trip, I did not have an issue getting any ressie I wanted at any time I wanted. Doing lecellier, LTT, coral reef, Ohana, Teppanyki on Xmas eve, and concourse on XMAS night. Then again, I booked most of them in July.

I just booked my ADRs for 12/1-12/8 about 3 weeks ago (except for the couple I booked this morning!) and had no problems. We're incredibly flexible on eating times, though. We got Le Cellier but, at a time most would probably consider too late. It's perfect for us because a) we eat late anyway b) we have a late start that next day and c) it will allow us to sample a lot from the WS counter service restaurants throughout the day and still be ready to eat by dinner time. We also got Jiko, Crystal Palace, California Grille and a few others at exactly the time I'd have chosen as ideal. Guess we just got lucky since I didn't even know I was going at my 180+10 day mark.

I just changed my O'hana time this morning to about a hour earlier than my original ressie. I also asked about Chef Mickey's for our last day this morning but there wasn't anything....got Cape May instead but, I may change that.

So, I canceled a 6:20 O'hana for 12/1 and a 3:40 Fantasmic package at Brown Derby on 12/6 just about an hour ago, if anyone is interested.

Oh heck no, no hard feelings! I will continue to disagree wholeheartedly on the other topic but who said I'm always right eh? My feelings do not make me right, they're just my opinions. And I'm full of it, or them, or something.

As far as calling first thing on the 180 day mark, he means it. Calling 10 minutes later will seriously affect your chances of getting what you want. And remember, we're talking about December. I can only imagine what it's like in summer.......
