Dec. 7, 2008 4 nite Mousefest Cruise - who's all going?

If anyone is thinking of doing Mousefest in 2009, DCL has reduced the December 09 fares. I was going to wait to book when I was on the ship but I noticed last night the fare for 1 in a Cat 12 had gone down to less than $600 no insurance or tranfers, this is $300 less than the last time I looked, so I decided to book. I am sure I will have a good time this year.

If any one else would like to join us with our fish extender exchange please let me know before November 5, so I can finalize the list for everyone.

I think right now we have 14 or 15 cabins split into 2 groups.

Don't Forget about us, I have so busy going back to school for my master's degree lately, I have not check the boards in awhile. But I just realized it is only about a month away and I am getting SUPER EXCITED!!!! We still want to be involved with the meet and we can can't wait to meet everyone and enjoy a wonderful trip. We signed up for Mousefest too, this will be our first time, but from what I have read it looks great. OK- so for sure count us in!!!!

Michelle, Brice, and Avery(DD-2)

We couldn't resist the temptation to book the Fall $99 bounceback offer DCL is offering. Today we booked a 4 day for 2/1/09 and will do the $99 3 day cruise on 8/13/09. We had to pay in full because tonight is the 90 day mark to book excursions, etc. Since we hadn't planned on doing another cruise so soon I think we'll skip Palo.

I saw on one of the threads that DCL is going to be offering photopass on the Wonder and Magic starting in 2 weeks. It's going to be an awesome addition. I hope they do the pre order $99 CD. That will save us $$ because we can never get off the ship with out at least $200 in photos.

That is good that you are able to take advantage of the offer, nothing better than going on vacation and knowing that you have another one coming up soon after. :thumbsup2

I am a little annoyed that the bounceback is offered on just about all the cruises till March except the one I am doing. Now, not only am I paying a premium (the cruises the week before and after are $1000 less) but I am not able to take advantage of the good deal, ( a 4 day in August would be perfect) I have to admit that I am very tempted to cancel the March trip and book on the RCCL Liberty, it is $2200 cheaper and a new ship that I know my oldest daughter would love. Nov. 10 RCCL is dropping their fuel surcharge so if the price goes down even further I think I will cancel March on the Magic. The only things holding me back are my youngest still loves the characters, I I would have to drive to Miami as I have flights to Orlando booked already that cannot be changed, and that I am going on a Disney cruise in December and they would not.

I keep going back and forth on what to do with this, it is a lot of money and we could do another trip with that, but I also feel that DCL is becoming so expensive during school breaks that March might be the last time we can do a trip on DCL. If I was able to get the bounceback I would not hesitate to keep the cruise but I just feel now that I am not getting the best value for my vacation money, so we shall see what I decide.

The prices on next year's Mousefest cruise are really tempting. I can't believe that next month I'll be on my first cruise, first Mousefest, and first solo trip to WDW!

I'm already starting to pack my carryon and getting stuff ready for my luggage. I can at least pack my shorts and such...don't need them here when winter is coming!

I'm too excited to sleep! (not to be confused with the board member with the same name)

We should all start getting our cruise documents/luggage tags in the next week or so!

MKMommy, I'm hoping DCL will expand the bounceback too. It would have been nice if they added it for our December cruise as well. When we booked the 2/1 cruise we had to book a cat 6 GTY because it was full so it's not like they aren't getting bookings. We went over Spring Break to WDW when DS11 was in Kindergarten and all the prices were sky rocketed. Luckily my son's schools really encourage family vacations and as long as kids get decent grades and aren't truant, there is no limit with time off of school. We try to only take them out for 5 days a year, but they'll miss another 4 in February this year too. We are going to go on the bounceback in August so they don't miss any more school this year. Our school system doesn't have any school breaks besides at Christmas, Easter, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, MLK Day, President's Day and Memorial Day. I wish they had a fall break or another break where we could vacation with them missing less days when the parks/cruise wouldn't be so crowded and expensive.

YAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5 weeks to go!!!!!!!!!!!:woohoo: :cool1:

Have we confirmed a time and meeting place for this cruise??

I think the most popular time was 3:00 on the Sunday near the drink station/splash area on deck 9

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I'm going by the Mousefest schedule, meeting in the terminal, and then at the sailaway party. I'm so excited I'm even annoying my stomach! :)

I haven't gotten my ME passes, but I'm only taking it back to the airport. Staying at the airport Hyatt the night before and taking DCL trasfers to the port and back to Pop Century.

Yay!!! Got my ME passes today! One more step towards Mousefest!

Did anyone book one of the 2010 summer cruises? We booked the 12 Night Northern European Capitals cruise for 7/18/2010.

We booked the 6/24/2010 12 Night Northern European Capitals cruise along with my sister, her husband and another couple who are also Disneyholics like us. We booked 3 Catagoy 6 staterooms on Deck 6 starboard.:cool1: This 4 day cruise is going to be our cruise fix until summer 2010. We are really looking forward to seeing the holiday decorations on the ship & CC.:santa:

I was trying to figure out if I had enough US money for the hotels 2 nights before the cruise and also the car rental from West Palm Beach, and I just realized that I have a gift card that I can use to pay them:cool1: now I can spend some money on fun things.:thumbsup2

Where is everyone staying the night before the cruise? My plan is to stay in West Palm Beach and drive up on Sunday morning, I have never been to West Palm Beach so I am hoping to do some shopping.

We're flying in on the 5th (One month today!!!!!!!) and staying at a 1 bedroom villa at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We're going to go to Chef Mickey's for dinner that Friday and spend Saturday at Epcot. We're staying through Sunday the 14th at AKV too.

Karen and I are at OKW on the 6th, and then heading over to port first thing in the morning. We'll do the CP on Sat night, and then hit the hay early.
Wow, you're driving up from W.Palm that morning?? That's a hike. I drove down to Pompano Beach, about 20 mins south of W. Palm, last Jan..it was a nasty drive, but it was during the midday on a Friday. Sunday morning should be a lot nicer.

Why is it a nasty drive? I figure it will take about 3 hours and I plan on leaving about 7:00 AM. The other option is to do part of the drive on Saturday, it is just my flight leaves at 6:30 AM Saturday and that would not leave me much time in West Palm Beach. Also I do not like to drive in the dark especially in new places

Hey that like we are doing... Flying in the 5th and staying at the Poly. I'm debating what park(s) to do. I'm thinking about going to the Studios on Friday so we can see the lights.

Saturday morning we have ressie for breakfast with the princesses in Norway. Question for everyone... if you have early ressie for breakfast(before park open) How do you get in?

Your daughter will love the princess breakfast. Just go to the main entrance with your tickets and a CM will let you in, not sure if the monorail will be running to EPCOT then, you should check at the Poly to see if you need to take a special character breakfast bus. Getting into the parks before they open is great.

I have a hard time deciding if the Animal Kingdom Lodge or the Poly is my favorite, they are both so nice.

We did the Princess breakfast in the castle in Jan. So I thought it would be good to try the other one. Yeah LOVE AKL and Poly. We stayed at both in Jan. but because we aren't going for as long this time I thought being closer to Magic Kingdom would be nice.

Do you know if we can go in the entrance by France in the morning?
