Every time we go to Florida, the boys beg us to move there. We remind them we'd still have to work and go to school, it wouldn't be Disney and cruises every day! We plan on retiring to Florida as soon as Brennan's out of high school. Only 10 more years to go!!! I think we'll keep our PA home and come up here for the summers.

Morning gang! Yesterday I found found out from the podiatrist I have a bone spur in my 4th toe......the one next to the baby toe and it's on my driving foot. If I want to have it permantly fixed I'll have to have surgery :scared1: I have some time to think about it but why couldn't my foot act up later or have done this earlier in the year:confused3 The dr. said I could live with it and gave me a sheath spongy thing to put around my toe to reduce the friction. I told him I've been dealing with this since I was a teenager and that I've been in serious pain for over a week now. Bummer............recovery would take up to 3 weeks, 2 if I do everything right. All I can do now is stay off it and not over due it and soak my foot to reduce the swelling and pain. I don't know what decision to make about the surgery either have it before the cruise or after...............
Kim:guilty:
PS I'll be staying at Port Orleans the day before the cruise and taking DCL transfers

I am so sorry you are going thru this. Last year before my trip in October, I was going thru pain with a heel spur. The pain for a few months was nothing like I had ever had. Since I had problems with a tennis elbow and had gotten a few cortisone shots, I immediately went to the dr and said give me some shots in the heel. He sent me to a podtriast and we talked about course of action. I told her that I needed to be in shape to be in WDW. After that we would try other options. So, I got the three shots. Worked like a charm. I took three pairs of my Crocs and switched them every day. When I got back from the trip, I did see the dr and got some inserts that i have not used. I found this pair of crocs that are special for bone spurs and i just love them. In fact, I wear nothing but my crocs full time. I plan to take five pairs for this upcoming trip

I love my crocs too---I did have one issue with them on my last trip though. We were at MK during tropical storm Fay this past August and I had on my Mary Jane crocs that I adore. I figured crocs would be better than sneakers and wet socks, but they were slippy. When we were coming out of Buzz, I slipped a bit but caught myself --while I did, my big toe went in one hole and my nail pealed back a bit. Talk about shooting pain!!! I had to buy a $2 (no exageration) band aid at Mickey's Star Traders. My nail is still cracked to this day! Hasn't stopped me from wearing my crocs though!

This time next month we'll be in Nassau!

Lisa, was that last FE list the final one (except for your stateroom #?)

I will join the band wagon of croc lovers. I like the flip flop ones and cleo's. I usually order some on line and have them delivered to me when I come to the US as I have been able to get some great deals, but I am behind on this coming trip and have not looked into that yet.

I will send out the final FE extender list on Monday

Our kids would love to move right into Cinderella's castle! ( to be honest so would I). So we did the next best thing and bought into the DVC so at least we can visit more often. I love the last couple of weeks before we go, the anticipation is like being a kid again and waiting for Christmas! :santa: See you all on Sunday. Ships ahoy pirate: :yay: pirate: :yay:

We love ouir crocs here too. We wear them all the time!!!!!!

Hanover we were at Epcot and MK during Tropical Storm Fay this past Aug. too. Maybe we walked right passed you and didn't even know it.:) It rained almost the whole time we were there, but we still had a great time and it was nice not to have the crowds.:thumbsup2
I got a blister on my toe too from wearing my crocs during the tropical storm due to my toe sliding from being wet all the time. I still wear my crocs though and we will probably live in them on the cruise.

I woke up this morning thinking that in a month from today we will be at Castaway Cay. :goodvibes I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait to meet everyone. Is anyone else doing the Roy Disney suite tour that Mousefest is offering. We did it last year and enjoyed seeing the suite. My husband didn't get a chance to see it though, so we signed up again for it to let him see the suite and my kids really wanted to see it again too.

We were there during Tropical Storm Fay also, we did lots of swimming in the rain that is for sure. We only did one day in the parks that trip and we had no rain till we were leaving at 4:00 so we were pretty lucky. We stayed at the AKL and it was great for a non park holiday, my grils loved sitting and watching the animals.

I am doing the tour of the Roy Disney suite, so when I win a lottery I will know what to spend my money one.:rotfl2:

Hi Lisa,

That is funny that you were there too at that time. We stayed at AKL a couple years back. We had a good time there. There were lots of activities for the kids to do. We stayed at Fort Wilderness cabins in Aug. We had a fun time staying there. This time we are staying at the campground at Ft. Wilderness, since we are driving down in our camper.

The Roy Disney Suite sure is nice. I wish we could afford it....oh well..we will take connecting category 9's---it is just so much fun to be on the ship!!!:thumbsup2

I can't believe how fast the time is going we'll be leaving in 26 days!:cool1:

I'm in Toronto, my oldest is showing her calf at the 4-H show at The Royal Winter fair, I was at the Eaton Center on Saturday I picked up some stuff at the Disney Store for the trip.

We would love a night in the castle too. We were lucky enough to get a tour on 8/31 when DVC did tours of it all day, but it made you want to bring your bags along!

We wer at Epcot in a total downpour during Fay so we very well may have walked by you! We had to get to the Garden Grill and by the time we got there, even with ponchos on we were thoroughly soaked through. We had to use a drier to dry the boys/Derek's shoes that night.

We kept talking about how we'd be in CC yesterday too!

How did you sign up for the Roy tour? Does someone using it have to leave with all their stuff still in it? I'm not so sure I'd like a big group coming through my room! I did send my $ in for the enrollment fees but didnt' know we could already sign up for onboard activities. I'll have to find my email link and check it out! I've peaked in the room while they were cleaning it, but would love a real tour!

What area were you staying in? I don't recall our room number off hand, but we were one level up past the check in to the left of the main entrance. We had a great savannah room and saw the most animals we'd ever seen at AKV.

Facing the front doors of the lobby we were to the left on the lobby level, it was a great room. I have stayed at the AKL a couple of times before and this was by far the most animals we saw. The baby giraffes were so cute.

Woke up to snow this morning:sad2:

My friend got her's last Friday.

It's bitter cold here today. I'm glad there isn't football practice tonight! I talked to Shirley from the Perfect Gift and she said it was in the mid 80's in Port Canaveral!! Can't wait to be there!!!
