Dec 3-14 PTR - D23 & Reunion2010! updt 1/3/11

Ok, time's atickin' and my to-do list is getting tighter for October!

-- call to see if I can refund Jenna's MNSSHP tix

-- call to get refund on Jenna's Wishes Dessert Party tix

-- review all other ADRs

-- review all F&W info! :woohoo:

-- buy Universal tickets (best deal is AAA?)

-- buy Photopass (I haven't really looked at a share, no time)

-- my rental car hasn't gone down, but it'll have to do

-- Book car service

I decided to buy my Universal ticket using the Costco deal...I figured it seemed to be the best since I'm going back in December and probably will check out Universal again.

It says on the ticket:

"This ticket is valid for both Universal and Islands for the length of this ticket.

Valid any 3 days until 12/31/2013

3day + PTP Exp 12/31/13 - Access to both parks per day-CW Incl"

PTP is park to park, and CW is City Walk

On the front, a guest first & last name is required, along with signature and photo ID. A counter-signature is required on each visit. Must be used by same person on all days.

This cost a total of $139.99, so I thought it was a good deal, considering a 1 day, park to park ticket at AAA was $115.

I still need to get a ticket for my sister, but a friend of mine may have an extra and will let me know in a few days. If not, I'll get her one at AAA.

However, not all Costcos have it. I had to go to 2 different Costco. The first one said they don't have tickets at all, looked it up in their computer and said another Costco had it. After I questioned them and asked them to check, of course.

I went to the second Costco, only to be told they don't have any and the first store was supposed to call them. Then I was getting annoyed, then suddenly they had 3, then they had a whole bunch. geesh. I only needed 1! :cool1:

So, Universal ticket for me :thumbsup2

A) There's a slight change in the fact that I saw a Groupon for the corn maze that my BFF wanted to go. Originally, we were planning to go on the Thursday, 7th since it was no plan day. However, the Groupon was for weekends only and the only day I have is the Sunday, 10th.

So, I'm going to scrap plans for my lunch ADR at DTD & go spend some quality time with the goddaughter, before I need to check-in to the condo. The Pirates & Pals cruise is still on.

I made the updates to my schedule post on the first page.

B) With my other Groupon that I got the Segway tour in Celebration is up in the air, since, my niece is not coming and the family from Tampa *should* be coming. However, it's good for a year, so I'm not going to stress out about it.

Ok, time's atickin' and my to-do list is getting tighter for October!

So did they refund yoou for Jenna's Halloween party ticket then? I wondered how that worked, since the ysay no refunds, but I wondered if they would or not depending on the case.

Yes, they did.

I think it is by case by case.

The first time I called to inquire, I got a big speech about how it is non-refundable and non-transferrable. Then, I got a little snippy since i didn't need the speech.

I had to call back at a different line only between 9-4 and then I was transferred 4 different times. I explained and it was handled almost immediately with no problems. I imagine they can tell if someone is lying or not and I was crying because it's difficult to say the words outloud.

The lady was incredibly nice.

I am EXTREMELY grateful that I got a ticket to Magic & Merriment this year.

D23's "Magic and Merriment" at Walt Disney World
Last year a delightful holiday tradition was born when D23 Members from across the country gathered at Walt Disney World to celebrate the sparkle of the season at D23's first Magic and Merriment event. Join us as we create heartwarming new memories this year.

The holly jolly happening begins the evening of Friday, December 10, when guests register for the event at One Man's Dream, the iconic Disney's Hollywood Studios attraction celebrating the legacy of Walt Disney. Inside the attraction, which is presented by D23, you'll also be treated to a private screening of Archiving the Archives, a new documentary celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Walt Disney Archives.

On Saturday morning, December 11, you'll enjoy hot holiday cider, flavored coffees and scrumptious Christmas Stollen inside the Odyssey Center at Epcot, where guests will be greeted by members of the D23 Team and some holiday surprises. Walt Disney World President Meg Crofton will be on hand to welcome guests and share some stories of the magic of the Resort at the most happiest time of the year. Chefs Erich Herbitschek and Stefan Reimer return to Magic and Merriment for another hilarious — and delicious! — baking demonstration sure to tempt your taste buds. You'll then be invited to spend the afternoon enjoying the holiday splendor of Epcot at your own pace before re-joining the group at the America Gardens Theatre as the sun begins to set.

As you nestle into your reserved seat, sit back, snuggle up and delight in the warm embrace of Walt Disney World's perennial Christmas favorite, Candlelight Processional. This time-honored tradition of classic carols and hymns sung by a choir of hundreds will be narrated by Disney and ABC star Whoopi Goldberg (The View, The Lion King). Following this special performance, you will be transported to Disney's Hollywood Studios for a sumptuous holiday feast on the incredible set of the Indiana Jones™ Epic Stunt Spectacular. After the park closes, you'll head over to New York Street for a private viewing of The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights during a special presentation hosted by Walt Disney Entertainment's John Phelan.

Sunday morning you will wake up to mix and mingle over brunch at the stunning Top of the World Lounge high above Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. The Lounge, which offers a spectacular view of the Magic Kingdom Park, is usually reserved for Disney Vacation Club Members staying at Bay Lake Tower, but our friends at the Disney Vacation Club are opening it up just for you. Enjoy an inside look at this breathtaking building and even tour a Grand Villa, one of the most stunning suites at the Walt Disney World Resort!

After brunch, D23 Members will enjoy a very "suite" treat — exclusive tours of the stunning Dream Suite inside Cinderella Castle, high above Fantasyland. The suite is not open to the general public, so this will truly be a magical moment.

Come nightfall, celebrate together at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and relax at D23's private hospitality lounge on board the Liberty Belle steamboat for holiday treats, cocoa and cider. You'll also enjoy reserved viewing of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade and the holiday fireworks extravaganza — Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season. And, of course, it wouldn't be a D23 event without a few seasonal surprises to commemorate the weekend! Happy holidays from your friends at D23!

Included with the cost of your ticket:

-Holiday cider, coffee and Christmas Stollen at the Odyssey Center (Saturday)
-Special holiday presentations with special surprises (Saturday)
-Guaranteed seating for Candlelight Processional at 5 p.m. (Saturday)
-Dinner and dessert on the set of the Indiana Jones™ Epic Stunt Spectacular. (Includes wine and beer, Saturday)
