Dec 27/08 NYE Western Cruise - Really New Thread

Is anyone travelling back to DisneyWorld after the cruise? I am trying to decide what transportation to use. In the past I have always used Florida Tours but after the reviews lately I think I had better do something different.

We are staying at WDW before the cruise and travelling directly to MCO after. We were booked with FL Tours, but decided to cancel. We ended up deciding to rent a car.

I got a coupon code in the mail today for DCL!

If I book a 4 or 7 day cruise by dec 15th for Jan - March I could get a 3 night cruise from aug 13th to dec 17th 2009 for $99 per person for the same stateroom category that was booked on the first cruise. Only one person from the original cruise has to sail on the second one.

Disney is really plugging away for business for 2009 ::yes::

Keep it up......your gonna get moved into the cancelled section.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Oh well, I guess I won't ask for my name to be bolded. What a tyrant!

Seriously, Artie, you're a good sport!

Ummm...so I see you guys have moved. I cannot believe we've done another 250 pages. My Med 2010 group can't get past page 1 ~ which gives me high hopes the prices will come down...LOL.

Been incognito for a bit. I was in mourning this week after the Presidential Election. The fact that I live in Illinois doesn't help my cause as I believe they called Illinois for Obama sometime two weeks ago. I believe Illinois was the first state to go blue and even before 1200. Ahhh ~ we generally run liberal these days. People up in Cook County (Chicago) and down here in East St. Louis (St. Clair County) generally are allowed to vote a few times ~ even when they are dead. The silver lining in all of this is that I am glad to see we (US) come so far in over looking color when picking our leadership. Hopefully in 4 years we can overcome another milestone and pick a woman - maybe someone who's initials are SP...:) Jimney Crickett did say I could wish.

Aisling - sorry to hear about Chad and the FBI. CIA would probably be more fun though so I hope he gets to do that.

Shannon is such a dork ~ he just came up to the office with the kids and had a left over label, from me packing up Halloween stuff, on Sean's behind ~ on the diaper. We have a cermaic Spooky Winnie the Pooh Village and I had labels, to go on the plastic containers, stating "Pooh Village". I thought I threw the extra's away but Shannon found one and placed it on Sean's backside on his diaper - so now he's walking around with "Pooh's Village" on his butt ~ pretty cute I must say.

Well we are off to get kids in bed and then hopefully to go watch a movie. It will be nice to relax without kids.

Talk to you later matey's!!!!!

YEAH....found you guys...actually i found Artie's link..thanks....scrapbooking today....catch up later...

Not sure who all here are DVC members and will be at WDW Friday before the cruise, but for those interested the Merry Member Mixer will be going on at the International Gateway from 3:00 - 5:00. We went last year and had a great time, free snacks and some character interaction.

I'm not a DVC member yet, but that won't stop me from sneaking in. See ya there!;)

sounds like you will be sneaking me in with you, because you know I'm up for that adventure :thumbsup2 (I have to check our dinner plans, but I think I'm having a late dinner that night at Epcot) so this should be perfecto :woohoo:

I have over 550 pictures to edit this week from the wedding this weekend...

I already weeded out the ones I don't want, now I gotta edit the rest to be presentable...the Bride and Groom left for Mexico around 3am today~John, his Dad and girlfriend and I had a great time! It was really nice seeing his cousins. Only one of three lives nearby in Bordentown, one lives in PA near Blue Mtn and the other is near Atlanta GA. His Aunt lives if FL (it's the one my DFIL stays with every winter) she's been up for a couple weeks and has been by a few times.

The best part was that John usually hates functions like that but really, really had a good time.

The scrapbook for Wil is a great idea. I'm sure he already knows, but you doing a scrapbook like that will show him how awesome he is with his racing.

We'll be in Epcot on the Friday night before the cruise for the Candlelight Processional, dinner at 5:30 at San Angel Inn and then the 8 (or is it 8:30) show.

My puppy is sick with bronchitis. He was coughing, lethargic, and wouldn't eat. The vet took an xray and we were relieved it wasn't pneumonia. They think he picked up a virus before we bought him, being in with so many other dogs. I have to take him for nebulizer treatments twice a day for 10 days, and the vet says he'll be fine. Then he can finally have the last of his shots.

He's been sleeping in bed with me and Mel, and I can't believe how much Mel adores this dog. Mel doesn't adore anything, well his tennis, but Brian really stole his heart, and that makes me very happy.

I've been having a hard time at the gym. My knee has been hurting a lot and I don't know why, so I've had to step down the cardio. It's discouraging because I've been doing so well. I'm only going once a day now, and taking it slow. I won't make my cruise goal, but the trainer said not to put myself on a time limit, just to keep doing it, so it's slow but steady for me for a while.

I can't believe how close we are to cruising. I was getting depressed about leaving Brian, but now that Mel has taken to him so well, and Mel has that week off from work, I feel better about it. Mel will take great care of him.

Yesterday was Chad's 23rd birthday, and we had a nice house party for him, nothing fancy, but lots of talking about when he was born and our memories of him growing up. Jesse made us all laugh so much with embarrassing memories only he'd remember about Chad! I told Chad that he has only lived 1/4th of his life, with so much ahead, and Jesse said "yeah mom, and you're half dead already!" :scared1:  And then Louise said "well my mother's already in the grave but with one eye still open." (She's 62). Just silliness like that.

This weekend is the opening of the 3 day theater production that Jesse's in, and we're looking forward to it. He plays John Lennon, and will even be singing. He's got the accent down so well, it's hilarious. I'll be glad when it's over, though, because he's had rehearsals every night for months, and it was getting to him, managing that plus school plus his social life.

Wow I've written a lot!

So what's everyone up to today?

Tig, I can't wait to see the pictures!!!!!!!

Well, we woke up to 4 inches of snow and 4 more inches are expected throughout the day. It's cold, and the roads are covered, so I think I'll stay in today. I just finished 2 loads of laundry. I think I'll vacuum now. Sounds like an exciting day for me!!!

Aisling, can you post pictures of Jesse's play if you take any? Is it a school play? Our school play just finished yesterday. Brian was on the stage crew. They got a new director this year, and it wasn't that great of a play. Most of the usual kids didn't even try out for parts. Glad to hear you are still working out. I had a week that I was too busy to fit it in, then got out of my routine. I won't reach my goal before the cruise either. Give Brian a hug and kiss from me. I hope he gets better soon. I know what you mean, I hate leaving our dog for vacations. I feel so sad.

Judy
