Oh, shoot! I messed up your poll. I marked "yes, but what can you do?" but I really meant "no, I'm not worried...but what can you do?" Ugh! Sorry.

Don't sweat it. It's not like the results are being sent out to the news conglomerates! I, more or less, just wanted to know how well known this prophecy was to the DIS-world at large.

Isn't that the truth! I'm planning to be off touring the Great American West with my hubby & my poodle in my RV in 2012. Those darn Mayans better be wrong about that calendar!

My daughter and I have plans for 2013 when I retire to take off the day after school ends and tour around the US for a month or 2- nothing set in stone planned, just get in the van, start going from state to state and see where it takes us. We want to end up in California and Washington before coming home and Arizona nad new mexico at some point. We are skipping the east coast since we have already driven up and down the cost from Conn-Florida a few times.

btw, there's a bit more to it than just the Mayan stuff. evidently there's speculation of huge solar wind spot thingies and the earth's magnetic poles are supposed to switch. I think

Polar shifts are a bunch of hooey. (Sorry to anybody that believes them). It's all quack science and is nothing to take seriously. It has less then a hundredth the credibility of Y2K, and we all know what happened with that!

I'm really hoping it doesn't though, because that means that DS won't have made it past the age of 8 when I"m really looking forward to watching him grow up, seeing the kind of person he grows up to be.
